The Omega Factor: Awakening

Hey Guys,

welcome to the final story of The Omega Factor ‘The Awakening’. This story is where every Episode of this series come together and paint as the bigger picture and what is behind everything. Morag as obviously a big role again and her connection to Adam.
It is not only getting serious but it also starts to get personal.

The most important thing

Adams family has an accident. But are in a critical condition and Adam is on his way to them. This brings Adam in a really bad position. It also makes it really interessting for us to see how he deals witht the situation when so much is at stack. Bringing Morag into the play what make things hard for him. Because he has such a kind heart but with his daugther in danger he has really limited choices.

The mystery of Edward Milton

Anne is trying to figure out what happend in the last few month. She realized that something is wrong and puts the puzzle together. Not knowing that she used a false piece. The best about this is actually that Doyle has a bigger role. I really grow to love Doyle. So I really love to see him get some action. He is a none believer but even he can’t deny it. But I like the way he tries to deal with all this.

Everything starts fitting together

This story brings everything together. We have the story about Edward Milton, we have Morag and maybe we even get evidence that Tom was right and that there was a group active – The Omega. I really like it. It brings so much together and let so much open for the next season. I can’t wait to listen to the rest and see what they do with all the pieces that they put into place.

Top 10 – Fantasy

Hey Guys,

here comes the next Top 10 with the Fantasy. Good fantasy is even harder to find than Science Fiction. It is always great to find an amazing Fantasy World.

1) Believe
This is my favorite series. I really hate it that you can’t buy it on DVD. It is really hard to find to watch. It only has one season and it ended before it really started. But you can live with the ending. It is a really sweet story about a young girl with powers and a lot of people who want to use her and her powers. A story about a man who needs to find himself. I really love the series and will rewatch it over and over again.

2) Teen Wolf
Yes! This is differently the second place. The name is soooo bad. But the series is so good. It grows with every season and the characters are so great. Yes. I hate a lot of it. I mean I started to like Scott and Alison in the third season. The story about them was soo bad. Scott was such an idiot. I mean the way he treats Derek is impossible. But I love the other characters. They are all so strong on their own way. The last season is also really bad… I don’t know what they thought by making it. But most are amazing.

3) Merlin
This is another way of interpretations the saga of Merlin. It is amazing. The chemistry between Merlin and Arthur is so great and also I love how they play with the exception everyone had. The way the characters grow to become their part in saga is sad. But I get the feeling that I have a problem with last seasons. Because I am not a big fan of the last season. The story is great but the way the knights treat Merlin in the last season is not great.

4) Hunter x Hunter
How can you not love Gon? The little boy who wants to be everyone’s friend and I mean everyone’s. Human, animal or demon… he doesn’t care who you are. He wants to be friends. But if go against any of his friends. He will fight till the end. The adventure he and his friends live by realizing there dreams is fun. It is so light and fun but on the same time so dark and cruel at times. But Gon always makes you smile.

5) Supernatural
Supernatural is a difficult series. I love the first 5 seasons. Dean Winchester is one of the greatest characters ever. He is my baby and I will at sometime watch all the bad season just to know where his story ends. In the later season are still great episodes and great characters but most of it is just not great… But the first five season amazing.

6) Being Human
Being Human is one of the series one of my closest friends made me watch it and I fall in love with it from the first series. It is a series about a ghost, a vampire and werwolf share flat and their life together. I really have to rewatch it.

7) Sense8
I find it hard to explain what Sense8 is about. 8 people are connected with each other. They jump in the bodies and someone is hunting them. I really like the series. The first season is a really long introduction. The christmas special started really bad… and gave me the feeling had missed a whole season but I will start watching the last season of it.

8) Hamatora
There are sweet characters and a good story. It is about people with powers. They try to help people and are a little like detectives. Behind the powers is a bigger story and the characters had gone through a lot. I wish there would be more stories about the characters and there relationships.

9) Buffy
Buffy is cult. I loved so much and it is also the first serie my family watched as family. I have a lot of good family memories with this serie. We all loved it and nobody wanted to miss this. I really miss the times my and family met around the TV and watched a serie we all loved and talked about. All this is Buffy for me. It is also a good series. I loved the characters and it always fun to watch it again and see how my view changes every time I watch it.

DW: Body Snatched

Hey Guys,

welcome to the IDW DW Vol. 2 #10-11 ‘Body Snatched with the 11th Doctor, Amy and Rory. It takes place around 4211. It is a really short story. It has 2 chapters a 24 sides. The story remembers me of Walking dead or Residant Evil… stuff that goes in that direction.

The Ponds and the Doctor

I have a lot of problems with this story. But it is not just the story. It is also the problems that I had most times with these three. The Doctor is always ignore Rory or says something to make him feel small. On the other hand he is all over Amy. Amy can do everything. I really hate the Williams/Pond thing. So the relationship between the Doctor and the two of them is like it was in the series.. annoying.
The other thing is Rory. I love Rory and this would have been a really great opportunity for Rory to shine but instead all he does is doing what he always does – love Amy. It is amazing who much he loves her and it is great that they show it here – even when in the end they make fun of him. But he is so much more. He is more than Amy.

Living Broccoli

The next thing is the story itself. The humans grow bodies with enough intelligent to work but not enough to rebel. They just live for 50 years than the brain dies but the body lives on. Of course someone is there to use this for something different. But what I don’t like about the story. That nobody says anything against this. The humans grow themself slaves with a conscious. But it is not even addressed how wrong this is. No instead the Doctor runs around and calls them broccoli and Vegetables. Hey let’s grow some slaves it is okay to do this because we grow them… yeah… definitely don’t like this part of the story.

DW: The Space Museum – rewatch

Welcome Guys,

to ‘The Space Museum’ is the first adventure of Doctor Who, which features an alternative timeline. The Doctor, Ian, Barbara and Vickie find themself at the planet Xeros. Ahistory places it around 2965 but there is no year given or much hints for what year it could be. They assume because of the ‘banded’ Dalek and not the ‘slatted’ one that it has after the fall of the Morok Empire (mentioned in ‘The Death of Art’).

The familiar bantering

What I love about the TV series is that we had 5 adventures with this group of people but when you watch it you have the feeling as if they travel for ever with each other. They grow very close and I love who good they know each other. It is always fun to watch them interact with each other.
I love these three companions so much. Vicki has a lot of screen time to show off her talent. This episode shows us again that the Doctor is not the one that does the saving. The companions save him so often and I love it.

Got to see us

Finally the four of them visit a museum – the Space Museum. From the start everything is a little wrong. Like the don’t leave footprints or can touch anything. They also find themself into glass cases. They have to change their future and get in between to sides fighting. Problems after problems for the four of them

The problem with the future

We have here the problem I like the most about knowing the future. The question the four of them ask them a lot. Were we suppose to do this. Is this action what brings us to the future we want to prevent? Or are we actually changing something? I like this idea a lot.

Top 10 – Science-Fiction

Hey Guys,

welcome to the next top ten. Sciene Fiction is one of my favorite kind of series. I mean aliens and Space what do you want more. There are a few series like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D or Falling Skies that I loved so much for the first three season and than it just turns bad – in my opinion. But let’s start with my Top Ten.

1) Firefly
Firefly is amazing. It just have one season but this season is so great. It is Cowboys in Space with good music. The characters are amazing and so different. It is just so much fun to watch these crew. Sadly not all mystery got explained but it is still one of the best Sci-Fi Show I know.

2) Doctor Who
Since my blog is about Doctor Who. It has to be on my list. Obviously it is an amazing series with a lot of seasons. So it is the perfect series of quarantine. Start with the first season of New Doctor Who. If you already love New Doctor Who start watching Classic Who. If you watched all of this than you have a whole world of Big Finish and books.

3) Torchwood
Torchwood is part of Doctor Who. But it is really different from Doctor Who. It normal adult, more sex. I mean the first adventure is a sex – alien… it is sooooo bad at the start. But give it a few more episodes and ignore Gwen. The series is amazing and characters are great.

4) Neon Genesis Evangelion
This is one of the series that started my Manga/Anime Hype. I loved it than and I love it now. Teenager (it always has be teenagers) as to control EVAs to fight against bad creatures. It is about mysterious of these creatures and about the problems of these teenagers.
The only thing about this series I don’t like is the ending. But I also have the feeling the creature has the opinion than me. Because he rewrites the ending a lot.

5) Stargate/Stargate Atlantis
These both series are cult. They have a great team and the story lives through the chemistry of these characters. It is a real fun to watch them interact with each other.

6) Gundam Wing
This is another series about teenager saving the world. Gundam Wing is a great series about war and what it means. About manipulation and wrong decision.

7) Dollhouse
This is another series that end to early. It is great and I really love the series but the last part of season 2 is kinda hasty. It is about people who get programmed with other identities. They can be bought. For example one man want to relive one day with his dead wife and orders this other person that got the memories and skills of this person. Of course things don’t go with out problems

8) Sarah Jane Adventures
Another series from the Doctor Who Universe. Sarah Jane Adventure is the opposite of Torchwood. This is a series for kids. Sarah Jane is one of the old companions of the Doctor. She is a journalist who finds an alien boy and adopt him.

9) Wizards vs Aliens
This is another kids series. It is written by Russel T. Davis and Phil Ford. It is lovely to see magic and aliens in one series. The two main characters are really different but also built a really strong friendship. I really have to rewatch it.

10) Dark Matter
This is actually the one series you can see all the ‘surprising’ turn long before they even come. But I like the characters. It is fun series. But also it ended with the third series and I haven’t watched

DW: The Blue Forgotten Planet

Hey Guys,

welcome to the 126th Big Finish Main Range Adventure ‘The Blue Forgotten Planet’ with Charley, Charley/Mila and the sixth Doctor. It ends the story of ‘Patient Zero‘. The story takes place on earth. There is no time given or any indication which year it is. Ahistory placed it in 2009. It has to take place before the mankind’s space age. With a few other pieces of the story there are just to times where it works without conflicts with other series. This would be 1930 or 2009.

The Virus

It is actually a little creepy that I finally find the time to listen to this story I bought like 2 years ago when the world goes crazy over the Corona-Virus. The scariest thing about this whole thing is the fear of losing our job or existence as a business. This story shows us a story about a virus. A world with a madness and somehow I feel like I live right now in a world of madness. It is another madness but still to close to home.
But that is something Doctor Who always could do really good.

Charley against Charley/Mila

Charley and Mila finally meeting each other and there is a lot of confrontation between them and between the Doctor and them. It is time for the truth and it is not easy to tell the truth when all you did was trying to hide it. Charley couldn’t let go of the Doctor and she had to lie to hold on to him. Mila needed to become Charley so she could travel with the Doctor. So what is truth? This is actually really great. India Fischer does a great job with the discussion between the both of the Charleys.

Goodbye…

This is an end of an era. I loved Charley, I got annoyed by her. She has a great chemistry with the sixth Doctor. Big Finish made me cry again. I cried for Mila, for Charley, for the Doctor… this story is really great. It hints to so much more and is also an end for a lot of things. I love it. Charley is great and this is a great end for her. I am sad that the sixth Doctor and Charley don’t have more adventures together. But I am also excited to were the Doctor is of to now.

The Omega Factor: Let the Angel tell thee

Hey Guys,

welcome to the second Box Set of ‘The Omega Factor’ ‘Let the Angel tell thee’. In this story you don’t really of a case. Anne is working with Edward Milton. After the kills in ‘Somnum Sempiternum‘ Edward Milton is the one that profited from it.
Adam is haunted by bees or wasps in his apartment. He moves to Anne and is plagued by nightmares and Morag who tries to tell him something.
Also Anne is getting lucky with man. She goes out with Edward Miltons uncle.

The normal week of Department 7

There is a lot going on in this story without a case. All the stories of course have something to do with each other. It is sweet to see Anne in with a man. She is kinda sweet and a bit shy. But what I love the most about it is the way she talks about Adam. The way Adam is jealous and protective. In the end it is all about the relationship between these two.

Morag is back

This sweet girl who get used by everyone. She is trying to warn Adam of what is coming. But it would be too easy when she just tell him. She speaks in riddles and he has no idea what she means. I hope that this girl at some point get her peace.
This is my favorite story of this Box Set. It is just like a normal week in Department 7 but in the end it is obviously more and plays into the big story. Also the story shows how deeply Anne and Adam care for each other.

Top 10 – Crime

Hey Guys,

I love Crime series. That is why it is really hard to decide which series will make it on it.

1) Broadchurch
Right now I would say that this is my favorite Crime series. The case goes over the whole season. In a small town a little boy got killed and the police is searching for the killer. It is good story with great actors. It is tragic, sentimental and I was crying most of the time. Season 1 was the best (still haven’t watch season 3 maybe I will do it now) but season 2 is also great. It deals not just with the case but with what it does to the people around.

2) Hawaii 5-0
This is definitely the series I hype right now. The friendship between Danny and Steve is amazing I love the two of them. All the other characters are amazing too. There is no character I don’t love. They all have gret chemistry and it is just fun to watch them. The one of best thing is that you see the beautiful landscapes of Hawai’i.

3) Columbo
This is just cult. It is a really great series. I hate it when you know from the start who the killer is. But Columbo is so annoyingly great, that I don’t care. You just watch this to see who they all lose against him. It is so much fun. It never gets old.

4) Elementary
Elementary is a new interpretation of Sherlock Holmes. I love it. At first I had big problems with Sherlock but I started to love him. The cases are not bad but also not the best. The reason the series is so good because of the relationship between the characters. Joan and Sherlock, Sherlock and Bell, Joan and Gregson… they are all amazing. But what I love the most is how they deal with addiction.

5) Criminal Minds
I love it. I love it because of the characters. But this serie is really about the cases. They are cruel, creepy and brutal. Sometimes they will follow me around for days. When I see the street of the one episode I know exactly what the episode is about and what series I watch. Also it has Morgan and Garcia. They are great.

6) Psych
Psych is definitely the series I rewatched the most. It is amazing. It is funny and also really deep at times. The characters are great and chemistry is amazing. I use the word amazing really often but it is the best word to describe it. It never get’s old and it doesn’t lose anything from is magic no matter how often you rewatch it.

7) Beautiful Bones
It is an anime. I think I have a weakness for troubled people who have problems with social stuff. It is a crime serie but it has a little fantasy touch in it. The characters are interesting and I like the creepy atmosphere they create sometimes. I really like it.

8) Veronica Mars
Veronica Mars is so much better than I thought when I started watching it. I love the characters and mostly I love Logan. He is a great character and his story is really tragic. I really must start watching the new season. I hope that it has a lot of Logan in it. But the other characters are also great.

9) The Beast
The Beast was a good series. I remember almost nothing about it. It was the last thing Patrick Swayze worked on. What sadly also means that the first season of the last. Even when it had a lot material for a second season. I will rewatch this definitely at some point.

10) Castle
Castle is fun series. I like the atmosphere. If you don’t have anything else to watch than you can watch this. The characters are fun and I really like it. But you shouldn’t watch the last season. Stop with the season 7 and forget that there is 8 season.

Me and the quarantine

Hey Guys,

it is one of the biggesst theme right now the virus and the quarantine. So I also talk with a friend of mine about the situation. I told my friend about this block and he told me he wanted to look at it so he get tips what he can look. I always wanted to do Top 10s and things like this. I never got around to do anything about it.
My biggest problem is that I can never decide what to put on the list. Because I love everything so much and who a character in a movie ‘The DVD’s would be jealous.’

But I will try to do my best. So that maybe someone get a little help with what to do with the time and I actually spend time with my favorite thing talking about series.

So I will do a few lists in the next few days. If you want to talk about series or want to do recommendation on your own just talk to me.

DW: Agent Provocateur

Hey Guys,

welcome to the IDW DW mini-series #1 ‘Agent Provocateur’ with the tenth Doctor and Martha. While I love Manga I always had my problems with comics. One of the problems is the drawing. I would never say that this comics is bad drawing but it is not my style. I bought a bunch of comics a while ago. For just one story and I don’t even remember which story. Now that we all have a lot of time at hand. I start to read them.
‘Agent Provocateur’ plays in three different times and a lot of different places. We have the 1957, 1974 and 4.999.999.999.

Best milkshake

The Doctor is still trying to give Martha the best milk shake ever when they ran into a Sycorax who hunts for the last of their kinds. So the Doctor as the last of the Time Lords is obviously on the list. This is where the story starts.
Truth be told I couldn’t follow what this story has to do with rest of the story. We find out that on a few planets the whole population except one individual disappeared.

What is going on

My biggest problem with the story was that I didn’t get the jumps. From were the one chapter ended and the next began. Sometime it gets explained later and I think ahh.. that is why it starts there but other times I still don’t get it. Maybe it is just me or I was to sleepy to understand it. The story was not bad it remembered me a little of the end of season 4 with the aliment planets.
The interesting part is actually this group of creatures that are trying to manipulated the events around the Doctor.

The end of this story lets somethings open and I think at we will see a few of the characters again at some time. Maybe I even have some of them. I will see what I find in my bundle of comics.
