Hey Guys,
after this season of Teen Wolf i needed to rewatch it so deeply. I learnt to love all this characters. When i started i couldn’t stand Scott and Allison and now i love them. So i thought when i rewatch it i would love them now too, like i did with Lydia, but it didn’t happen. I still want to hit Scott the whole time and every scene with them toegether got still on my nerves. But I see the character developement that started here. I wanted to write about the season but when i look at the notes i took, than this will be a massive Jackson and Derek article. I love them so much. I am overflowing with Jydia feelings, Stilinski feelings and Derek feelings… I don’t even understand how i could survive the season because… this broke my heart so many times… when i think what will still come… my poor little babies. I just want to protect them.

Where do we start? Let’s start with Allison and Scott. It is the thing i have to say less than to the others.

The ‘epic’ love story

I think i am to old for actually liking the love story and these characters. Scott is such a typical teenager… i can’t really understand him. He is form the first moment head over heals into Allison. I don’t think it is love in the first season. Really they now each other two weeks… okay their were three fullmoons… three month, but they are like i will die with each other. No you won’t. You will survive and the life will go on. And everything around them is so much more interessting. But here starts actually what will be their character developement that makes them to really interessting and lovly characters. Scott beginn to develope a hero complex and believe that he need to save everyone, but is totally judgy against Derek. He did a few things… but this will be part of the Derek theme.
Allison on the other hand starts to crave power, she wants to feel powerful, strong and doesn’t want to need help. She doesn’t understand yet that help is actually nothing bad or weak.

Why go out with a stalker?

Scott is not really a stalker… but really he gave her a pen without her even get her things out. Creepy and than he knows about the talk with Jackson and Lydia, and he wasn’t even close so he could have heart it… i would never ever said yes. I would find him creepy and i think she did too. So i really don’t understand why she said yes and i will never get it.

Things you should think about

The first time my heart hurts was when Derek first met Stiles and Scott. Because when he goes Stiles tells Scott that this was Derek Hale and that his family burnt in that house. Derek can hear him. I never thought about it before. But he actually can hear Stiles say that. This whole city is a reminder of everything he lost and he really lost everything here. He has no family left. He has nobody left.
Derek Hale is so broken and i don’t get why so many people hate on him. Because did you just for one second thought about his feelings? He fall in love with a girl, a girl that burnt his whole family alive. Derek is giving himself the fault for it. Laura the one that survived never get the real story out of him. He never spoke about what happend to him. He never spoke to anyone how Kate manipulated him so she could kill his family. She abused him and he never talk about it. He couldn’t because he was afraid of Laura hating him, afraid of losing her, maybe even afraid that Laura will forgive him. Because he needs to feel guilty. The emotion that keeps his wolf in check is anger. Anger about himself for falling for her. He can’t lose this guilt and every day of that six years the guilt cuts deeper into him.
When Derek found Laura in pieces, he broke again. And he has nobody. The only one he has and can talk to is a uncle that is in a coma. His life is a living hell at that point and than there are these stupid two teenager that makes is life even worse. Scott and Stiles accuse him of killing his own sister. But he is still helping Scott when ever he can. He makes sure that Allison is save. He saves Scott so many time from himself.
Derek is so much in need of holding everything together and close to him. He can’t let anyone see how it looks in him. That is one reason he is actually closing a door of the shell of a house to get the feeling of privacy. He can’t open up to Scott. Not just because Scott makes an idiot out of himself. Because if someone gets close, Derek can lose him.

Asking for help

I remember watching the serie with friends and someone ask why he doesn’t just ask for help. Why doesn’t he ask for help. Because he doesn’t believe in people anymore. He lost his fate in them. He doesn’t believe anyone would actually want to help him and to be honest. He needs to discuss with Scott before he is ready to help. Actually i think they wouldn’t helping him just for helping him. Scotts helping him because he actually needs him. This is so sad. Because in the end Derek is right. What that be happen in season 3 than Scott would had helped without a single thought, but right there he doesn’t care.
When ever Derek needs something he needs to discuss with Scott. So he tries to show Scott what the Argents do. He showed him Peter. He talks about what had happend to them and it pains him. You can see the pain in his eyes. Scott is actually saying ‘they had a reason’. I will never be over this. Being a werwolf is no reason and even if it were true and every werewolf were bad than this wouldn’t be a reason to burn people alive. In this house were 11 people. There can never be a legit reason to do this. If i were Derek i would actually hit him and let him alone deal with this.

We are brothers now

This hasn’t just a phrase. This is what Derek really feels. Scott is framing him for the murder of all that people and again Scott is an asshole. Because of course it matters even if he is dead. Laura was his sister. It matters alot. You don’t do that to people. You just don’t. But Derek is forgiving them and helping them again. Because he actually cares.
When he choose Peters side (we are talking about that later), he got the order to kill Jackson. You see him struggle. He doesn’t want to do it, but he was ready to do it. But when Scott came everything changed and nobody can tell me that he would have killed him. When he actually in a heartbeat protect him, is trying to save him and turning himself in to Kates arms – the person that tortures him with only her existince. She is breaking all the wounds open again. He did it for Scott. Because he cares. You see it also when Peter goes the first time after Scott. He wanted to stop Peter. You actually seeing him moving a little forward. Everything that Derek has left is revenge and protecting Scott. But Scott doesn’t want that protection.

His talks about people

He have this amazing talks. He is telling Jackson that nobody is caring about him. He is not completely right. Because there are to people really caring about Jackson but that is not the point. The point is that nobody cares about Derek. Derek says that nobody cares that he drive an expanisive car – like he did, has perfect hear – like he, and is captain of the lacross team… he is actually talking about himself. He is the one that has nobody that cares about him. He is the one that is lonley.
Than he talks about Allison and Scotts stupid teenager crush. This actaully him talking about himself. Because he wished someone had said this to him. Because he wished someone would have know about Kate and stopped him. He is screaming at himself for being so blind to fall for her. He sees himself in Scott an he just saw the repeat of the history (and in season 2 we see something that isn’t so much different form it).

Sterek

There isn’t much to say about it yet. Because they haven’t so much scenes together. But they are actually working together and i remember that so many people were angry about the way Derek treated Stiles. I know this was discussed many times so i actually just say that everyone that judge Derek on that should remember that he got abused by Kate and here is Stiles using Dereks body to get what he wants. Just saying…

Derek is the bad guy?!

Here is the part i will never ever understand. How can anyone think he is the bad guy? He chooses for a really short time to be on Peters side. Peter is his uncle. The only remaining family he has. He needs to believe that Peter didn’t killed Laura on purpose. Because Derek needs Peter. He needs someone how is there for him. He doesn’t have the strenght to go through all this alone. Scott and Stiles don’t care about him. Peter does or did. He needs his only remaining family. He wants to believe him, because if Peter is lying he lose everything again. He is again alone. Loneliness is nothing Derek can handle. But he never really did anything bad and after he has no choice but to realizing that Peter lied, he choose to help Scott. Yes he killed Peter but really you will hold that against him? He doesn’t kill Peter to became an alpha. He was never interessted in that. He wanted revenge for Laura – for is sisters. And just a side effect he doesn’t let a 16 year old boy kill someone… yeah you are right that is a really bad person…

My beloved asshole

The most important thing about me is, that yes Stiles is my favorite character and nobody should touch Derek. But the character i am the most protective of is Jackson asshole Whittemore. My little baby. What ever you say about him i will fight for him forever. I don’t know why, but if someone says something about him, i am like do you touch my little baby. I know that many people love and miss Jackson like i do. But there are also really many people that really dislike him. You can do this, but never ever says that there isn’t anything beneath the asshole wall. He is one of the best and deepest characters on the show. Lydia will be a little short in this article. I don’t dislike her. Actually Lydia is my favorite female character on the show. But she isn’t perfect and really that is what i love about her. She is an asshole, sometimes a little evil, manupulating, a fighter, a very strong human, that wants to help and save people, is emontional and lost way to much in her short life. She is amazing. But my Jackson is too. And i really hate that people always make him down for treated Lydia badly, when it is not true – not totally.

Abuse Relationship?

Everyone is talking about an abuse relationship that Lydia and Jackson have. I have to say i never said anything against it because in my memories it was like Jackson treated her bad. But i have to correct myself and everyone how tell something different should rewatch season 1. Jackson didn’t once scream at her. Not once he mistreaded her when they were in relationship. All that things are coming but they are when they are not longer together. Actually it starts when Jackson got bitten and became a kanima so most of it is like Scott being violent against Stiles – the change to something different, something he can’t controll.
But i actually think that the relationship was… abuse… is not the right word… i will go with unhealty. Because Lydia was the one that actually made Jackson feel bad most the time. Please don’t just hate me for this. Read what i have to say and than you can write me anytime and discuss this with me. So let’s start.

At pike performens

The first time i saw a really problematic thing in their relationship was when Jackson got hurt by Scott. Jackson has to go to the hospital and got painkillers from the medic. I don’t think he would have played the game a few days later. But Lydia pressured him into taking painkillers and play the game. She was the one that made sure that he will not sit on the bench. Jackson can’t be not playing and not making points, because he is Lydias boyfriend. When the Coach ask him if he would feel it when he would hit the shoulder, Jackson answered maybe. This wasn’t he beining dump or something. That is him telling the truth. He doesn’t know because he had so much painkillers intus that he doesn’t feel anything. This is a really problematic behavior from Lydia.

At the edge

Jackson is at the edge this season, what is really sad when you think what will happen in season two to him. The situation around him gets worse. He is falling deeper into black hole. He is feeling like losing everything. Everytime Scott is scoring, he is losing something. Than there are little things like a destroyed locker or bigger things like Derek giving him the scretches. Because of them Jackson actually had big sleepproblems and nightmares of a fire or being attack by a werwolf. Lydia gets a shock just for seeing Peter.
We need to understand Jacksons character. Jackson is not dump and please stop saying otherwise. He is not a genius like Lydia but he is top of the class, because he can’t do anything else. He needs to be the best. He needs to please someone, he never met. What means that he can’t stop, because he doesn’t know if it is really good enough. Maybe he must try harder, be better otherwise he is just a disapointment. He works really hard for all he had. Than there is Scott coming and he gets everything without even trying really hard. He is perfect at Lacross, got a cute girlfriend, which brings him like automatically in the ‘high society’, he got team captain. Jackson can just look like Scott got everything, JACKSON had worked for. All that with cheating. Because Jackson is right. Scott is cheating he is using his werwolf powers. Lydia is focusing the unhealty jealousy with firing Scott on by training, or actually making out with him, or flirting with him before Jacksons eyes (The part with Jackson and Allison will come later).

Sucking for his benefits

Lydia is playing dump, so Jackson looks better. What is not even really nessassary. But she did it anyway. She is playing that she is bad at bowling. But i never thought that it was really about making him look better. I think Jackson like competion on bowling. But when Jackson helped her, he was feeling good. He liked being close to her like that. It was like their flirting when everyone is around. But we talk later more about this. Now it goes about Lydia standing up and making the shoot. It is nothing wrong with it and i am actually with Allison on that. That she should stop sucking for Jacksons benefit. But what is the bad think about it, is what she says and how she says it. Jackson is sitting close beneath her. He looked a little surprised that Lydia made a Strike. But i don’t think that he really believe she was bad. He was surprised – my interpretation- that she actually showed it. Please everyone how hate Jackson look at his face the moment Lydia said ‘that she did alot of sucking for his benefits’. She is saying it so Jackson can hear. At that point she want that Jackson feels bad and he does. What she said hurt him. Sometimes you say think that hurt people it happens but Lydia did it on that point on purpose. I am not saying Jackson is perfect. He has alot of flaws too.

Anything real about them?

So yeah i ship Jydia and everything i told you until now are reason for them being never ever together again. But here it is, what i see. I see real feelings. When we first saw them together like they act. They love each other. They like to be close and the little touches between them. We see it also when they are bowling how they sit together, play together. He is never making fun of her for playing ‘bad’ – like for example he did with Scott. He just loves to be near her and she loves to be near him. I think the problem with these two is that, Jackson had that need to be better and be unhealty ambitious. She is a genius and she knows it. Of course she does things for it, but she doesn’t need to work so hard for it as Jackson – what doesn’t mean that she doesn’t work so hard. A good friend of me would have written A’s without learning but she learnt weeks before the test. I think Lydia is such a type, just to be sure it will be a A. She doesn’t show what a genius she is, so Jackson doesn’t feel the need to be better than her. She is trying to actually make him feel better. He forgets that she is actually doing this for him. They are doing this and somehow they lost themself in the roles they are playing and forgot what the others feel for them. Lydia always seems to feel the need to make Jackson jealous. Like she needs to see him jealous so she can be sure he still cares about her. And Jackson actually things that Lydia doesn’t real care about him. All that got stronger when Jackson loses controll about his life, because Scott is taking his part.

The evidence that they actually love each other is the ball. Lydia is going out to search Jackson. Because she knows that he is not okay. She needs to make sure he will be okay. She needs to find him. Jackson is really worried about Lydia. He is bringing her into hospitel and when you see how he looks at her than it breaks your heart. Because he needs to know that she will be okay… This is not even about binging her into the hospital. It is that he needs to make sure she is okay. He needs to see her.

The feelings were real but they lost. That is why i think that when they actually grow to the person they want to be. When Jackson learns to trust people with his feeling and that he can depent on them without being weak or that he doesn’t need to be the best. When Lydia learns to place herself first, doesn’t hide who she is, she embrass her power and her genius, she understands that she doesn’t help be pretending to be someone else and she stop fearing that she will be left alone. Than these two will be a good combination. They will rock everyone. Jydia forever.

I am not a bad person

The most important thing about him is that he is not a bad person. He never did something to really harm anyone. Yes he make fun of Scott but this is his way of coping with Scott being better than him. He makes constantly bad decisions and he knows it. He doesn’t feel confortable enough to talk with his best friend or girlfriend. But the real point is, when the were captured in the school and Scott ask how many people can ride in his car. Jackson says ‘five’. Because he will not let anyone there. Allison is like three are way to much and she is in a normal situation right. Jackson would never let Scott into his car but right know it is about get out there alive and he will pack everyone in his car, when they can made it to it.
The second one is he is telling the hunters about Scott, but he also tells Stiles so he can react. When Stiles is going after Peter, Jackson is coming with him without question. He is afraid but he wants to help. Actually i am really sad about the missed oppurtunity of a Jackson and Stiles love-hate friendship.

Jacksons solution

Why is it so important to be a werwolf for Jackson? The answer is easy. When he is stronger than humans, faster than humans, than he is better than all the other. Than he doesn’t have to try so hard anymore to be good enough. Because he will just be better than anything. It is his solution for getting peace. He is totally wrong and i think that someday will have to search competition between werwolves. The bite will not give him peace, not like Jackson hoped for because he doesn’t really understand yet that he needs to change his way of seeing things to get peace. But he is not ready. So he need that bite, that promise him peace.

The Argents

I really dislike Victoria the way she acts is so wrong. She seems like always wearing a mask. Her smile feels always wrong. The way she treated Allison was… way over board and i just really dislike her. Chris on the other hand was a little creepy in the first season. He really loves his daugther and want to protect her (Victoria loves her too…). I hate how he talks to Derek, but i actually like how he lives by this code. That he really believes in it. So much that he was ready to go after Kate. That he actually understands that what Kate did even when they were werwolves was wrong.
I hate Kate with all my heart. The actress did an amazing work. She playes her so good that you actually feel that she is the devil, that she loves to kill and torture but she is still human and has feelings. She actually loves Allison pretty much and i think that she would’ve done anything for her. She loved her like a little sister and she wanted to teach her how she keep herself save. It didn’t make her more sympatic because she is just evil but it shows that the show knows that all the bad people are just human like we are. They have feelings too.

You will play

Before we came to my favorite person we have to talk about a really important person on the show: The Coach. He is so much fun and in the first season he looked like the worst teacher ever. I think the Coach really loved his job and his students. But i think that he gots dispointed by them, by the parents, by the world. This disapointment he let out on the kids. Like the time when he ask Scott to summeries the reading and Scott can’t answer. The Coach got like please summeries anything but not even that can you do. This is way over the top, but you see that he is tired of the students don’t to the homework or listen to what he says.
Also a reason why i believe this is the way he talks about Stiles. Stiles is one of the difficults students. But the Coach know that he is a great kid and intellegent…

But we close the front door

When i write my whole opinion about Stiles in here. I think you need alot more time to read all that stuff i am writting. But i will try to make it short. Stiles is my favorite character and the one that is maybe the most problematic one. Stiles has two/three people in his life he would do anything for and right now Lydia isn’t one of them. These people are his father, Scott and Melissa. Melissa is like a second mam for him – sadly we doesn’t see much of this dynamic in this season but we will later. The problematic thing about Stiles is that he actually is not a good person. He doesn’t have a high morality. His moral compass is Scott. He is defining himself about Scotts ways of seeing things. He doesn’t do things because he doesn’t want to disapoint Scott or his father. He is ready to do anything to keep this three people alife. The most important things is not his own safety it is his fathers safety. That is why he always assumes the worst when he saw on a fullmoon a corpse…
Stiles doesn’t really believe in law are moral…that is why he actually choose to humaniated Scott with for example the water from the bowl. Or how he uses violance to pay back Scott…

Relationships can break

We started at a point were Stiles can’t lie. His father always gets when something isn’t right. But with Scott becoming a werwolf, Stiles is hiding more and more from his father. You see how close they are and how important for example that first lacross game for Stiles is, because his father is their to see HIM not the lacross game. He is proud of Stiles but Stiles sacrifice it for Scott. That are the first cuts in the relationship of them. Really clear gets it when the Sheriff is drunk and says that he miss talking to Stiles. That they never seems to have time for each other. Sadly these growing apart is just the start.

The Bite

The Bite is a thing that tells us a lot of Stiles. Because he is feeling left behind. Scott is now first line, he is stronger, faster and everything, he has a cute girlfriends and he still have just this crush over Lydia (if someone wants my opinion over Stydia write me). He beginns to feel like the sidekick not like they are on the same high. This is eating at him. When Peter offered him the bite, Stiles says nothing. He is fighting with himself. When he is actually saying no. Peter is telling us that he lied. Stiles wanted that bite because he sees it like Jackson. Maybe it destroyed Scotts life but it doesn’t have to be bad. He wants to be eye to eye with Scott, he doesn’t want to left behind. So why is he saying no. I think their are two reason the first is his father. When he gets the bite it doesn’t mean that he survive it. The bite means you became a werwolf or you die. This is something he can’t do this father. He knows his father will break when something happend to Stiles.
The second one is Scotts opinion. He doesn’t want the bite because he knows Scott wouldn’t be approve of it. Scott thing the bite is a curse and he would never understand why Stiles did it. Stiles thinks he would disapoint Scott.

Deaton and dates

What I never understand is why Deaton isn’t telling them the truth? He should take care of Derek. He did a really bad job at that. This is the only really stupid thing that will never go into my head.

So six years ago was the fire and 11 people were in the house that burnt down inclusive Peter. So for Derek died ten people in that fire. The season plays in 2011 and Kate is 28. So six years ago she 22 years. Derek is born on in 88. So he is 22-23.
I will try to get all the dates because so many people say that it doesn’t make sense. We will see.
