Torchwood: Miracle Day

Hey Guys,

i will be honest with you right away. This season has a really bad starting point. Because everything that is Torchwood for me isn’t there. I miss the base, i miss their pets, i miss Cardiff and most of all i miss the team. For me was Ianto the most important part of Torchwood. He was the soul, the heart, he was Torchwood. Without it him it doesn’t feel right.

But the season is not so bad as i thought. You can totally look it. This is a really big think and we will see if they find a good ending. I like the Characters. Vera is an amazing character. My favorite character is totally Esther. She is really amazing. She is strong, she is intellegent, sees what is going on, and even when her world collapse around her she gets her shit done. I like her very much and i want to hurt Rex every time he is mean to her even when he is right.

Rex isn’t a character i really like…not a little bit. But it is a good character. So Rhys has much to little screen time. I love him and want to see him in action.

What i really don’t like is how they show Jacks Sexuality in this season. Jack is not gay, he is not bi, he is into everything. But this season he is just flirting with the guys. I don’t like it. Jack is flirting with everyone. He was actually flirting with everyone when he was together with Ianto. He flirts with everyone and that should not be changed. That is Jack. That is totally a negative point.

Also they are to much explosions and so… i don’t need this big effects…

But i like how broken Jack seems to be and this is really good. Because he is broken not just because of Ianto, but because of Steven… that is really important.

This are my first impressions of the serie. I will talk about a few things that totally are spoilers. So if you don’t want spoilers stop reading here šŸ˜‰

First of all the story is really a big thing. It is good but also you can’t become bigger after that. Because really they are building concentration camps in the whole world and nobody is doing same thing. Everyone, who knows me a little knows that i don’t like Gwen. Most of the time i want to stangle her. But in the Children of earth she has this monologe about what happend and the doctor. That was really amazing. Here is a scene that totally remembered me of that. She is talking to one doctor at that camp and what she said is so true. It is. The sad thing is that i totally see that happen. If something like that would happen in the real world. Everyone would exactally do the same. This can happen again so fast and who will stand up?

Because if you stand up you can end like Vera. Vera… i loved Vera she was a great character. She was strong and so human. She wanted to help people and she was one of the persons that was not afraid to tell everyone her opinion. Everything she did was amazing. That whats make her death so tragic. She was nice and sympatic not just for the viewer, Torchwood liked her. She was intellegent and just did what she things is rigth. She stands up for what she believed in. But because she was such a good person, she is dead. She said what she thought and that is why she is dead. This is really sad but also a really good move. You like Vera and her death has a great impact on the viewer and on the team. Everyone can die…

The background story with Jack and that guy was interessting and sweet but not really so nessessary for the story and for me it just give us more questions than anything else – that not get to answer. This whole three family thing cames a little short and there is so much in the dark. What did them do all the times, why did they do it and what was it what they are wanted? Just power? Wasn’t there a easier way to do it than that?

Everything about the last episode a really good. It is very emotional and sad. We see the world colapesing. We see how fast people adjust to the new world order. We see Rhys, who is trying to find a new job and what did he get? Drive the undead to the ovens. This is really amazing. What i don’t like is how agressiv Rhys became toward Danes. Thats not the Rhys i know…

I hate when people say that the death of that character was unnessassary, but really Esthers death was so unnessassary. Esthers is having from all the characters the most character developement and she was amazing. I love her. She is so sweet and than she dies and i am totally not okay with that. Why she and why not Rex. Yeah i knw because of Jacks blood… but Rex lives and Esther dies. No! Why are they always killing the persons i love?

I think that the didn’t need the church scene. It is one of the last scenes. They are at EsthersĀ  funeral and the treator is also there and until that point that scene is okay. But than Rex finds out that she is the traitor and calls her and she is shooting at him and he dies and she get shot. Yeah and than we see Rex coming back to life. So unnessassary. I don’t like Rex also beeing immortal but it was clear so they didn’t need to show it again.

Torchwood: Rift War

So,

i could resist and had to buy the ‘Rift War’ it is a comic from Torchwood. So this comic strip is drawed by different artist. So i will talk about the chapters and than about the whole story.

The first chapter is not my art. I don’t like the way it is drawn, the same is it for chapter two. But the characters are really well written. It starts with creatures that came through the rift and attacking humans. Torchwood is on the way to fighting them. Also it seems like this creatures are in war with Torchwood, just Torchwood don’t know anything about it.

The second chapter is about the vanishing of the Torchwood mainquarters and Tosh with it. Tosh is in the space between and met there a strange guy named Vox, which seems to know a thing about this creatures and the rift.

The third and fourth chapter is looking really amazing. I like the way it looks. The third chapter is really sweet it is about gwen and rhys raising a alien baby. The fourth chapter is about dinosaurs inĀ  our time and Vox says that he can help to heal the rift forever.

The fifth chapter is about gwen and jack in the past. Also it is Vox which brings them there and bring them back. It is a really special guy. But this chapter and the sixth is not my art. I don’t like the way it looks. The sixth chapter is about a time overlap. So we met the old Trochwood.

Chapter seventh and eigth find kinda ugly but also it is a more realistic style what i like more. So yeah… i don’t know it are a special chapters from the artworks. Also we find out a little more about the creatures and about Vox.

Chapter nine and tenĀ  are also not my style. This is the big finale. Yeah i know i didn’t write much about the comic. So lets say, i was dissapointed. Not just about the drawings because i am not a big comic fan (i am more the manga guy). But the story is not so good. The episode are to short to be reall emotional or thrilling. The turning point is not really surprising. I think must people did see this caming. It is nice and so but not more. If i had read it before i bought it, would had bought it.

There is also a bonus story in there. She is really short and i like the drawings. But it is also not a deep story, just scratching the surface, if you could call that scratching…

I love Torchwood and i love things where everyone is still alive. But i can’t recommend the comic. For me it was to disapointing.

Torchwood: House of the dead

So this is a really horrible story. I love her. That is a good story but it is just to torture us. Ianto is by a seasson and tries to stop him, also Jack is there. Gwen is on the way to them. There is a medium that can let them see person their want to see. But a very bad thing reach out to come back to life and that what Jack want to stop.

Gwen thinks that something is wrong with Jack and Ianto thinks he is a little spuck. For me Jack is just like Jack. Ianto get visited by his father. The father is telling him that he waited for his call. Also she says that he should stop Jack and that everyone will be alive – Owen, Toshiko and so on. We see more inside in Ianto Jones. This is a really amazing thing.

Also it says that they can’t trust Jack and Gwen is saying that is right and Ianto have to stop it. She is totally talk Ianto into believing that Jack is mad. But Jack says that he should trust him.

So here it will became spoilers. There is a twist in the Story.

Jack tells him that he couldn’t talk to Gwen because his headset is not on and he totally trust Jack from this moment. Jack wants to close the rift forever but before they can do it. But the father of Ianto give him a chance. He tells him that they just can move away, that he can take Ianto and leave. Because can he really let Ianto die again? So he needs to tell Ianto that he is dead and it is really emotional. Because Ianto is breaking down and crying and Jack can’t just bear to look at him. Ianto is seeing through Jack. Jack wanted to close the rift but Ianto know that this is not the truth. He knows this is about Jack. This is about Jack. Because Jack can’t let Ianto go. He can’t live with the thought that the world is empty. He wants to do suicide so he never came back. But Ianto is so much more. Ianto tells him that they take the chance. But Ianto is just using this to get Jack to live. He is sacrefice himself and Jack needs to say these words. I love you… and it never break my heart like that. This Story is telling us to much about the characters. About Jack and about Ianto. If you want to cry or have a broken heart just listen to it.

Torchwood: Submission

This Story is like the other, i heart it some times but i don’t remember anything of it. Torchwood is hearing a cry under the water. The translate it and it is a call for help. Ianto Jones is calling a old friend from Torchwood 1 and they are going under water.

They found a man under the water, which move’s there. Without a suit and everything. Gwen goes out to talk with him and find out that they need a body.

The friend Ianto called was in love with him. There is a talk about Jack. Ianto is talking about Jack will let him go. She is telling him that is not person someone can easy let go and she is right. Jack can’t let go of Ianto.

The Alien is actually pretty intressting he wants to replace the memories of leaving his maide alone. He is speaking about a few things about when they know what Jack did, nobody will love him. Also about maybe Jack is crying more about Gwen then Ianto.

So it is a nice story.

Torchwood: The Devil and Miss Carew

Hey Guys,

i heart it before but i am not remembering anything from it. So it is now like a totally new story. This story is with Rhys. Rhys uncle died and they go there. There is something that overs people, which are dying a deal.

They are blackouts and everything seems to have to do with a Miss Carew, which seemed like she did that deal, wich Rhys uncle refused. It shows us a side of the old we don’t want to talk about. Miss Carew is an independant woman, but her illness and age make her a prisoner in her body. She needed 24 hours care and it was a horror for her.

The characters are really in character. I love the banter between Jack and Ianto. One of the best thing in the Story is Rhys noise when he tried to work on the computer.

So i totally knew why didn’t remember it. It is a nice story, nothing really deep, nothing really interessting, you can listen to it and that is okay and nothing more. That is my opinion.

Torchwood: The Dead Line

Hi guys,

know we are on the last adventure of the first Box. Together with ‘The Golden Age‘ it is totally me favorite in this Box. There is one track with a monologe of ianto and when the shuffel of my mp3-player is playing it, i always listing to it.

It starts with a phone call of Ianto to woman to tell her that Jack is dying. So we start with this information. Jack didn’t have a big role in this story, because most of the time he is lying in the hospital. People become a phone call and than falls in a kind of coma. The Story is really good and also Rhys is playing a role. That is really good. I love Rhys. He is such a good person. Also i love hoe i things.

Gwen is calling Rhys to tell to don’t answer the phone and he is like really you call me to tell me not to call someone. This is the fun we need in this story. Ianto is staying at Jacks hospital bed. The monologe of Ianto is like i said on of my favorite parts in this radio play. It is a really good summery to their relationship. It shows us everything. Ianto is not a big talker. He can just say what he feel. All what he says has the meaning ‘i love you’ but the words never leave his lips. Also that he talks so much about his fears and his feelings about Jack is because he thinks that he can’t hear it. Their relationship has a lot of problematics. Ianto will grow old and Jack not and they are aware of this. Ianto is knowing Jack. He knows some day Jack will go and he is right. This monologe is so important.

Also Ianto is the one in the end that finds the solution to their problem. Ianto is probably the best.

Torchwood: Golden Age

Welcome back,

i love the third radio play of Torchwood. ‘Golden Age’ is a story about Torchwood India. Jack shut it down 80 years ago. But he and his team find it full active with the personal from 80 years ago, which didn’t age a year. Of course Jack thinks there is something not right. Ianto and Gwen are searching for the deadly power field, they witnesed and found Torchwood and Jack is talking to his old flame.

It is a story about changes, about don’t leting go of the past. Some people think that the can make everything right, that somethings are worth to make sacrifces for. It shows how they find a way to justify their action to themself.

Jack has a different understanding than them. He says that he would made it different know, but he don’t want to go back and change it. He don’t want to sacrifce all this people. But he don’t want to see any harm to Ianto and Gwen. When he get that they are in deadly danger, he decided to do everything to save them even if it means to die with them. Okay, we must say that dying is for Jack different, but i think it say totally much about him.

I can just say listen to it! It is totally worth it.

Torchwood: Asylum

Good evening everyone,

let’s talk about the second audio play of Torchwood. It is about a girl. She is from the future and don’t remember what happend probably. You find out that she is an alien and Torchwood send her back. For me it is not sure if really Jack have something to do with it. But i know that many people have that theory that Jack himself send her back. The radio play is really well done. I love the sound and the effects. The voice of the girl did a really amazing job. But for my this just was a kind of prologe for the really story that never comes. That is a little sad.

Gwen is in the mainrole here what is for me also not a perfect thing, but also Andy was a bigger role and have a opportunity to shine. I like him and he shows us how people react. He goes from a little girl needs help, to she is dangerous and everything is her fault and then to the understanding that she is a little girl even if she is an alien. What i think is that this understanding is coming to suddenly. I mean it is Andy and of course Andy will understand it and help the girl, but after that outburst i just needed a little more to say yeah of course he understands now. But this is the only thing i really critisce here. It is a good prologe.

The next radio play is one of my favorites. We read us. Bye

Torchwood ‘Lost Souls’

Hey,

so i started to hear audio plays because of Torchwood. To be excat because of the season 3 ‘Children of Earth’. After the end i needed more Ianto, so much more Ianto. It is also the reason i started to look Doctor Who. Just because of Ianto. You are totally right Ianto is my favorite character.

So the sad thing is that the radio plays started after the season 2. That means Tosh and Owen are already dead. So we have just Ianto, Jack and Gwen. ‘Lost Souls’ is the first radio play and has a special guest Martha Jones. It is really good to meet her again. She asked Torchwood for help, because at this instution vanished people.

Martha used the time with them to talk about Tosh and Owen. Also Lisa get mentioned. So yeah it is a story about the lost ones, about death… So the story is a nice one but there are totally better ones.

Bye
