CSI Vegas: Season 1

Hey Guys,
since I am trying to get my home clean I wanted to watch something I already know and I decided to rewatch CSI Vegas. I loved CSI so much. I loved the team. Few episode are still stuck in my head even after all that time. My love for CSI Vegas is so big but I never get warm with any of the spin offs like CSI Maimi oder New York.

What makes it special


The reason for that is totally clear. It is Grissom! Grissom’s character is such a perfect balance between creepy with all his bugs and knowledge and his way to never give up on anyone. What I always loved was his way to care so deeply for all of team but on the same time could be so focused at the evidence and the rules and that helped him to not take the horrors of the work home, while the other characters always say that Grissom doesn’t feel anything. This is the biggest thing I hate about this is this. Just look at Grissom and his hurt…just look.

Sara


Apparently a lot of people dislike Sara while I love her to pieces. She is not perfect, far from it. In the first season she is judgy and she let the cases way to close to her. While I love her for her big heart and the drive she has when she want to find justice for the victims. It makes her blind and you can also see how it breaks her. It is really interesting to see her journey from this judgy character with a clear black and white view of the world change over the seasons. To know were the story will get her… makes clear how young these characters still are and how much the need to learn.

Team Nightshift


The same way goes for Warrick. I love him and I root for him. I still do even when I know how his story goes. It is different to know his journey and how his story will end. But still I sit before the TV and be like please don’t do it or please just do it. You can do it. Nick is a little boring. I don’t remember much about is journay over the seasons. Greg was one of the person I loved so much, while rewatching the first season I asked myself why do I love him so much? He is just a little annoying and not really interesting. Maybe it changes in later season we will see. Catherine was never someone I liked. The premise of the character I really like. She has a special backstory, is a single mom going through a divorce. She is a strong character and lovely with her daughter. But she is… I don’t know how to describe it. She wants to look the other when she doesn’t think that it is fair. She tells people about an open case. She always takes the cases that she should do because she is way to close to it.

Unfriendly Skies


What I realized with this first season is that I have grown with it. When I started watching CSI I had a clear understanding of the black and white world. I was a lot like Sara with strong opinions and the idea of how to do things. Best example is one of my most memorable episodes ‘Unfriendly Skies’.

This episode stayed with me even after all this years. It is not so much the episode itself. More the last scene of the episode and the question what would you do to survive. The last scene is exactly that. Sara, Nick and Warrick are talking about what they would do in the situation of the passengers. Warrick was like I would save myself. Nick was like I don’t know and Sara was like I could never kill anyone. Catherine joins the conversation and was like I would do anything to protect my child, which even when I am not a mom is so relatable for me and always will be. When I started watching CSI Vegas I had the same opinion like Sara. I could not kill anyone – except when I am with my child to protect it. But killing is wrong no matter the reasons. But while watching the series I learnt more about the world. More about all the grey areas and stuff. I learnt that you never know how you would react. Now I am Nick. I don’t know what I would do…
Than Grissom comes in and says ‘Five people were necessary to kill him but one would be enough to save him.’ This gets me every time because he is right. We stopped carrying about other people we judge with out trying to find out what is the reason. While I know that one of the reason for that is the fear and most of the time we have these fears for good reasons, I know that we all judge way to fast and help way to little. I wish to be a little bit like Grissom.

CSI Vegas forever


I know that there are way better series than this. But I love it and I will always love it. For me it is so much nostalgia and like I said I grew up with this CSI Vegas. I learnt a lot and I always love it when I can get something out of the series. Even when it is unnecessary knowledge. For me especially the first season will always have special place in my heart.

3 will be free

Hey Guys,

welcome to a series from Thailand ‘3 will be free’. Actually I found the series because I watched ‘Dark Blue Kiss’ and loved Tay Tawan Vihokratana as Pete. So I did what I always do when I loved an actor in series. I start watching the other series they played in. So I landed here. ‘3 will be free’ was really great.

The begining

Actually the first two episodes are not that good in my eyes. Neo one of the main characters is not my favorite and I just don’t like the whole story with him sleeping and loving the step-mom of the other main character Shin. But it is kinda necessary to get the story rolling. The story is kinda easy. Shins father is something a like a big ‘mafia’ boss. When he finds out that his wife is sleeping with Neo and send his killers to kill him. Shin has a crush on Neo and is often in the club Neo is working. The third member of the group is Miw. She works in the club next to the club Neo is working. Long story short Shin and Miw get involved in this situation. Miw is killing one of killers and the run.

On the road

Shins father is not happy about it and wants Neo and Miw dead. So three of them are on them are on the run. They search for a way to stay alive. This is actually were starts to get good. All the characters are so imperfect and have so many flaws. That you just have to them. Shin is my favorite one and also the one that don’t really fit. Neo and Miw have similar lives and believe in the same things. Shin on the other hand has a lot of many and is a little naive. He never want to be like her father and wished for being an artist.
Also he is the only with out a reason to be on the run. Because wound kill him. Still he chooses to go with them and help them.

About friendship and love

The story is about a friendship that start between these three people. How they start to trust each other and fight for each other. We see friendship became love and how much people are ready to sacrifice for each other. I really love the relationship between these three that the don’t put labels on. To see them grow as a person and grow in their relationship.

The side story

We also got to see the story about one of the killers. Ter is the killer that chases after the three of them. It is not just the job that makes him run after them. The killer the three of them killed was Ters best friend and also likes his brother so he and the girlfriend of the dead killer wants revenge. Mae is a good person but she is so hurt that she wants to hurt others to feel her pain. I don’t like this story very much but it has his sweet moments.

Unsolved

Hey Guys,

welcome to the serie Unsolved – The murder of Tupac and Nostoriuos B.I.G. First things first I don’t know anything about tupac or Biggie. Trust be told I heart the name Tupac and knew he is a rapper but that was it. But the Biggie Smalls or Nostorious BIG doesn’t means anything to me. Why did I watch the show. I saw that Josh Duhamel is playing one detectiv and thought why not.

Three story levels

The serie follows three storylines. The first one is the story about Tupac and Biggie about their friendship and how everything kinda ends in a mess. It is quiet interessting and sad to see how their friendship changes. Also Tupac is in the serie a lot more sympathic than Biggie. Tupac has a temper but he seems to always stays true to himself and Biggie is just letting things happen…

The big cover up

This second storyline is the most anoying one. Poole is one of the leading detectives one the Biggie Smalls case. Poole is getting on my nerves. He is a really intelligent man and has a lot of good ideas and I really thing that there could be something on that corrapted police thing. But the way he is trying to go for it. It is a wonder that his corrapted police didn’t just shot him. He through everything away and listen to know one… He doesn’t have even one evidence against them. A poster is not a shrine. A lot people were driving an Impala.
I think that Fred – his partner – is totally underapreachiate. He tries to protect Poole and if Poole just would have listend to him. They maybe could go after that theory together and look in all the other possiblities.

Did we solved it

The third storyline plays ten years after the murders. The police is making a task force to reopen the case, because Biggie Smalls mother is suing the state. The storyline is slowly rolling. Everything is a dead end. Nobody talks not even the dying.
This Task Force is giving us one possible version of the murderer. But there is no arrest made and there were never much evidence for any possible version.

Watch it or not

Like the title said the case is unsolved and it remeans so. There is one possible version but for me there is a lot of things that doesn’t make sense. I can totally go with the Tupac murder but Biggie is for me still a question mark. Even the task force doesn’t seems 100% sure that they are actually right. Sadly the police have never much interest in actually solving this case. So watch it when you are interested in Tupac and Biggie Smalls.

Safe: Season 1

Hey Guys,

welcome to the new netflix series ‘Safe’. The series is written by the crime author Harlan Coben. We follow a man – his name is Tom – through 8 Days of his daughter missing. This eighth episodes are showing us every episode a little bit more of what actually had happened that night.

We can’t have everything

I really expected something different. Something were the title actually has more meaning. Safe. This whole thing took place in a community that built a fence around their housing development after a school fire years ago. The man character is Tom. Tom is a father of two girls and a doctor. Is wife died a year ago and since then his oldest daughter is pulling away. She stops telling him thing and is secretive. One night after a party she doesn’t come home and her father tries everything to find her.

Everyone is suspicious as fuck

The whole series is built like all the other series like this. Every person has his secret and everyone could have done it. Nobody says what is really going on that night. Even when they didn’t have a reason. A boy hides a bloody shirt before he could possible knew that Chris is dead. Chris is the boyfriend of the missing girl.
So know you would think that the police tries to find the murderer and the missing girl, but somehow the don’t get anything done. The father is the only one getting new information.

Watching or not

Okay… I watched it till the end because I need to know who the murderer is in such series. But the whole series was kinda boring. I saw people put it together with Broadchurch but when Broadchurch was emotional and really surprising. Was it here not so emotional. The actors had not much emotions on their faces… They couldn’t convince me with their play. After you find out in the 6 Episode what the big secret of his daughter was it is really fast clear who as to be involved in this murder. I was really disappointed by this serie in all points.

Manhunt: Unabomber

Hey Guys,

welcome to the series Manhunt: Unabomber. I am a big fan of that profiling stuff. I found it really interesting. So when I saw this ‘new’ series i knew I had to watch it. This is a true story. Normally I try to not watch such stories because it makes the stuff even worse. I love for example Criminal Minds and I can imagine that this could totally be real. But it still is a story. But when it is not it is more … it is harder to put it away. Because it is real.

The lovely Characters

Okay, let’s start with the truth. I watch the series for the story. Because the characters are not sympathetic. The FBI Agent is so closed of. Form the first moment on the party… he seems so distant and this only grows in the series. He is brilliant and intelligent but he doesn’t get the simples things like family and loyalty. It seems easy for him to give up colleague that help him. Or he don’t get why his wife is so angry at him for leaving the kids in the cinema.
So he drive everyone around away and you get the others – except for Natalie Rogers. I really don’t get why she is so angry at him for wanting her professional opinion and help on the letters.

Best Episode

The best Episode was definitely the one from the perspective of the Unabomber. The most important part is nothing he had to go through can excuse what he did. He killed people as a statement. But the episode shows us an other side of him. A side that maybe want to stop this, someone who got broken by other people. And it makes us thing if it could have been prevented. When his family had offered him real help. For someone who already has problems with socializing and then let him skip two classes. I get that he is so intelligent and that this was the easiest option to encourage his intelligent. But he has problems building a relationship with people the age and that all these people are two years older makes it so much harder.
He did had an easy life and yes he always tended to a violent solution. But still I think that he is in fact a good example that the evil is being made not born.
He still deserve his punishment.

Watching or not

I really found interesting. We see a lot profiling in the series today. But here they are doing all this by analysing is writing pattern and this is really exciting. So yeah if you are interested in this stuff watch it. I will definitely watch the following seasons that hopefully will come.

Elementary: Season 5

Hey Guys,

I was so happy when Netflix finally had season 5 of Elementary. Like you know when you read my post before (click here for the other article) I love Elementary. The last season was great and I really had high hopes for this season. Some people may already have a feeling what i will say. Season 5 sadly didn’t match my expectation. Of course it was still great but something was missing.

Something Missing

I hate that feeling, when you watch a series and the characters are amazing and the stories are good and you totally in love with the series but somehow the new episodes are still with the amazing characters and still have good stories but they just don’t get you like before. Something is missing. That is what happened here. They are still the characters I love and somehow it feels wrong.
There are to points I actually dislike. First is that at one point Sherlock stopped going to the meetings… and I had the feeling that we were already over that point but before got annoying they let Sherlock see the light.
The second point is the sudden end of a relationship. I don’t think that the breakup is out of character or anything it is that it just came out of the blue.

Dream Team Bell/Sherlock

What I love the most about this season of Elementary are the Bell/Sherlock episodes. They are amazing. I always love when these two work together or their bond deepens. It is beautiful to see how their bond grows and how the open up to each other. I love Joan and Sherlock. But Sherlock built his life around her it is not longer unusual when he opens up to her… it is still beautiful to see the deep trust between Sherlock and Joan. But you know that Sherlock in the end will always tell Joan the truth.
I also love Joan and Marcus. They have a beautiful friendship. Joan will stand up and fight for Marcus and nobody everything something different. When he has problems and she asked about it he most likely will tell her.
But with Sherlock and Marcus things are different. They were in a very rocky place a long time in season two (Elementary S02) but they rebuilt their relationship and I find it really beautiful to see these two persons try to get along, to treat each other with respect and trust.
There are really good episodes in this season. One of the episodes is an episode with them in the last part of the season. We get more about Marcus past.

Joan needs to help

I really like it that they bring up that something is missing for Joan. She was a doctor and then a drug consult (I can’t find the right word), all the job it was about helping people. As a detective things are a little different. The person she made after that her project on the other hand is not really interesting. Shinwell is not really sympathetic or exciting. Just a little boring. But it brings Sherlock in an interesting spot. What would he do for people he believes in or Joan believes in. What would he do for the things he thinks ar justice.
Also it kinda puts Sherlock and Joan on different sides and I really love to see this work out.

Still special

So yes this season of Elementary is totally lacking on a interesting overall story and it just lost something of his magic. But the season was still good. The characters are still amazing and the relationship are still the most important thing in the series. So yeah I still loved the season… and really with that ending. I want the next season really fast, please.

Lucifer: Season 2

Hey Guys,

welcome to the second season about the most screwed up family – only Mikaelsons are worse – welcome back to Lucifer. This season is totally a family drama. Lucifers mother escaped hell and Lucifer had made a deal with dear old dad. This family is really screwed up and that Linda is actually still dealing with all this is amazing. I love her even more.

New faces

We see new faces in this season. We get of course Lucifers mother and at some point Chloe says the more she hears about Lucifers dad the more she understand why he is how he is. That is right. This season we got alot of the family relations. Lucifers parents are really bad parents. But we not just met his mother we also got a visited of another brother of Lucifers.
But the best new face is definitly Ella. She is sweet and amazing. Really i love Ella the way she just got into everyones heart. How she goes for cuddles and how she accept Lucifer without even … i don’t know. I love her.

Watch it!

I want to write more but everything seems a too big spoiler. This season is funny and crazy in some points. Also it has alot of emotional scenes. We see Lucifer trying to deal with his pain. We see Chloe trying to be more… today my words are missing… aggressive in a few situations. We see new bonds form. We see Amaenadil with losing his powers, his believes. Linda has to deal with the reality and with the consequences of her decisions. They all have there demons and there story and they all grew so much. They came so far.

Lucifer: Season 1

Hey Guys,

because i don’t have enough series and amazon prime was having the advertising everywhere i started to watch Lucifer. Yes and four days later i need a new serie because i watched the whole serie. Somewhere in September as far as i know will come the third season and i am really excited about it. So yeah you probably can guess that i liked the serie. But i didn’t fall in love with the serie from the beginning. So here we go – just so you know i know nothing about the comics.

Luci

So Lucifer is the devil himself that took a vacation – with no intentions to ended it – on earth with his best friend and demon Maze he got to earth and built up a nightclub. When our story starts Lucifer is already 5 years there. What can I say about him? He speaks…i really dislike this way of speaking. But Lucifer is not a sympathic guy on the first look either. He is selfish and selfcentered and closed off. But most of all he is like a kid, a kid that tries to rebell against his father but in the end just wants his father to love him.
His attitude and his chemestry with the detective which he starts working with make the serie a amusing pastime.

God and the devil

But the serie got more than this. We didn’t get what acctually happend. Just that Lucifer doesn’t want to go back and want to play his father plan anymore. Than there is that one episode. It is with father Frank. The relationship in this episode between father frank and the devil himself is amazing. The way the talk about god and believes, about fate. How they got close to each other. It is amazing. The best his that the father Frank doesn’t change his opinion about god or did Lucifer. The discussed it and both still believe what they believed before. I really love that part.
Also i love the god is not the good one – not totally the bad one either. He is definitly a shitty father.

Go watch it

I love the serie. The humor is a little sex heavy but the characters are great it makes fun to watch them grow and grewing they all do. The Detective, Lucifers psychiatrist, his brother, his best friend and the detective Ex-husband. All of them grow over the serie and is fun to watch it. To go this way with them. I love it and think about it… is there devil sitting on your shoulders and tells you what to do… you decided and when you get to hell you will get your punishment for that.

Psych: Rewatch

Hey Guys,

with all the talk about the Psych Movie the uninvetable happend – I had to rewatch all seasons of Pysch. The truth about the Serie is that i would have never watched that show without my best friend. I just had seen a trailer with all that stupid jokes. My friend told me that the show is really fun and that i actually should try it. Normally my other friend – She is just a serie junky like me – recommenand series for me. But this time it was my best friend and so i gave it a try.

Since I already told you that i rewatch the serie, you can tell that i fall in love with Psych. I love every bit about it even the lovely dump humor. Shawn is sweet as he is stupid. Shawn definitly has a charm and he got me from the first moment. I love the serie because so many things.

Psych is fun and most of the time crazy. The cases are not sooo serious but also the show has his serious moments. That is why i love the show so much. It is sad and tragic but it always makes sure that you laugh. There aren’t many episodes that ends with you not laughing.

What the serie is for me

Another reason to love the show and that is first of all the relationship between Gus and Shawn. They lie to each other, they use each other and call each other names. But they never let each other down. When it comes hard of hard they have each others back. They fight and don’t talk to each other but they always forgive each other. That what i love about it.
What brings me to another reason to love Psych Juliet and Lassiter. Lassi is amazing and a little problematic with the things he says. He gave Juliet sometimes a hard time. But he learns to respect her and as her back. He would do everything for her and the most important thing is there are no romantic feelings involved. It is complete platonic friendship.

Of course there are more amazing relationships. The other two are Shawn and his father. The show lives also from this little scenes about his past. His father wasn’t the father of the year but he tired to prepair Shawn for everything in his life. So the relationship between them is a little rooky but they love each other and we see them grew closer over the serie.

So the last relationship i really love is Shawn and Juliet. They grew closer and from the start there is this romantic undertone. The possiblity is always there and they really need a while but that is why i love the relationship. They go slow and built up over years and they work so good with each other.

Don’t ever grow up

I love the athmosphere they are creating and i love all the puns and hints of other series. I love that the don’t take themself so seriously. I love the serious moments as much as the silly moments. I love that they are refusing to grow up. Because i think that people do that to often. Hey of course you should a bit more serious about work. But i think it is a good thing to stay in many things a kid. Don’t take everything so serious. Look out there. There are so many adventures and beautiful things. I really believe that we all should be alittle bit more like Shawn and Gus.

The Final

The best thing about Psych is that it ended at a high and the serie final was everything Psych always was. I didn’t often saw such a perfect ending for a serie. Actually i try to think of one. Oh Person of Interest and White Colar were pretty good. One tree hill was not bad either but i still wait for the kiss betweeen Chris and Chase. But that is a different theme.
Truth is that there are not many serie finals out there which are not disapointing or better than okay. I literally just stood before my DVD shelf and thought about the endings in all shows that are standing there…
But back to Psych. I am sure i have written it here before but Psych is a perfect ending. This episode was silly and funny and i cried my eyes out about Shawns inability to do for once right thing in many important relationships for him and the worst of it is that he knows it and tries so hard. But it is Shawn and everything we love about him. Every character is amazing in this serie and every relationship Shawn had with the people around him gets his time. It tooks us back to all the fun we had with them.
And in the end it is just life. Another really ends it just changes. The life goes on and on. People leave and others stay behind. You will always have the memories you made with them. All this 8 years will always stay with Shawn and so will the 8 season stay with us. There is just a new chapter starting.

White Collar: Season 4

Hey Guys,

welcome to sesaon four of White Collar. The last season ended with Neal runing away. He left everything that he wanted to be his life behind. He is maybe free but still runing. Of course he doesn’t stay on the run. The fourth season is about Neal trying to get this life back and stop runing but accepting the truth about his family.

Fathers Son

Neal is a conman and can be everything he wants. But who is he really. He always defines himself over his gens. But there is so much more to him. But this season he is searching for the truth about his father. Why he did what he did? If he did what people say he did?
I love to see him trying to stop runing. The father son story is not that interessting for me. Because it was so clear were the whole story will lead.
What i like about it is that they say for the first time that Peter is like a father to him. I think there is much truth in it. Peter is his role model.
Everyone how read what i had written about the other seasons knows that i find the relationship between Neal and Peter really problematic and that doesn’t stop here.
In the end middle of the season i am so done with Peter.

An Artist has to know who he is

I really like the thematic. Who doesn’t have asked himself the question. Who am I? What makes me the way i am? Can i change? Can i be better than this?
This season not just let Neal ask himself these questions. It also shows the relationship Neal has. Sadly there is really little about Sara. She deserved a bigger part in the season but the episodes she is in are amazing. I am one of the few people that think that the only really good relationship of Neal is with her. Because she let him be who he is. She doesn’t try to change him. She doesn’t hate him or is angry about him runing. She knows him. She knows this is something that he needed to do. It hurt her but she doesn’t hold it against him. Like she never hold anything against him after they start dating. The Raphael is another story. She doesn’t push or pull him. They just live in the now and that is so amazing and totally what he needs.
I love Mozzie and Elizabeth but this season shows me again what i always thought. They push him in the direction they want him and it hurts me alot.
I don’t say that i don’t understand it. Like i said i love them. They are good persons.

Watch it or not

You need to watch it. The episodes with Sara are so amazing and i love every bit of it. Yes the Peter problematic is still there but we all know that it will not go away. Peter will not change and i am not sure that Neal ever can really change with him around. But all the characters are amazing as always. So yes stay and watch it.
