Murder in the first Pilot

Hi Guys,

i should stop watching series because of some actors. Why i looked in this serie? Tom Felton is playing a rich genius. I looked the trailor and tought maybe it is not bad. Yesterday rhe pilot was aired and i watched it. So what could i tell you?

They are these two officers Terry and Hildy. Terry seems like a nice guy, with the love for details and patience on normal days. But for Terry are no normal days. His wife is not just having cancer. She is dying and i didn’t what to accept that. He wants to keep fighting and he couldn’t just watch her die. So he is still working. His nervs are down, he is aggressiv and loosing his shit.

His patner Hildy is single mom. She is searching for a man in the internet and i think she mustly lives for her daughter. She and Terry seems pretty close. The whole department seems to cover Terrys outbursts. Hildy is the taff on and don’t back down.

Eric Blunt, who is played by Tom Felton is an asshole. In the first few scenes he seems sympatic. He is talking about who this all of this is about a dream and not about money and so one. He seems pretty nice. But that are the only scenes. All the other time is quite an asshole. He wants to destroy his ‘enemy’ and she threaten very ligthly with death. He is rich and can have what ever he wants and he is the fixpoint. He is a child of a adiccted prostitute and a drug dealer, who is the first murder in this serie.

The second is Erics Ex or his sexpartner, who he fired because she flipped wine over him. Now she is dead. So we have after one episode two death with a conaction to Eric Blunt.

What else can i say? I think the serie is very emotional because of the friendship of Terry and Hildy and Terry situation. So whole time it is glumness and i am kinda interessted what they are make of this. So I think i will watch the other episodes as well.

Monday the episodes are airing so i will try to writte on tuesday what i think of it.

DW: Festival of Death

So guys,
after yesterday a really beautiful day. It was 36° and i was swimming in the pool and lying in the sun with friends and ice cream. I have found at the nigth time to read the end of ‘Festival of Death’. So, hear my opinion of the book:

It is the fourth book of the 50th Anniversary Collection (Past Doctor Adventures) and is featuring the fourth Doctor (Tom Baker).

The first thing i have to say is that the fourth doctor was totally not my doctor. I was really really happy when i could start with the fifth Doctor. I love his companions but he never really got into my heart. So here he is travling with Romana. I am not totally sure what version of Romana plays in this book, but i think it his Romana II (Lalla Ward). She is totally more my thing than Romana I. Lalla plays her a lot more relaxed. We meet also K9 and really is there someone who don’t like K9?!

But lets talk about the book. The start don’t get me. There is the Prolog, with the what is going on effect. Than we have the Doctor and Romana, than we have the Nyanna part and so one. For my the start is to erratic and you don’t know what happen, why it happen and who the people are, the good thing about the book is the Doctor and Romana are as clueless as you.

Then you have this ‘Beautiful Death’ Event. It is interessting theme. But i don’t get the people are doing it. They die and than came back. So they can see heaven. I am sure that i will go past this attraction.

You have no clue what is going on in the book and than it goes really timeywhimey. So don’t get what is happen. They exist in two time streams and also are going again and than going again back in time. As i know now the doctor goes at least four times back in time to do things and to save the people he knows that they have to survive. I didn’t really make sence to me but i hope to the end every thing is logic. But i don’t believe it yet, because everytime you think are coming to an end and the Doctor is not going back in time again, he hears that he is.

The book just had theme that i find really unlogic with time travel. There is no starting point and that is kinda … unsatisfying… but Romana as also problems with this idea and that is a reason i can live with it. I like the questions that are asked her. They know who dies and can they do something to save them? Have they the right to save them? But are they kinda at fault with they don’t try it? But it is sad they don’t have much time with this questiones. They are mentioned and they say such things about life and the posiblity to change your mistakes.

At the end I would say it is not a bad book but they better ones.  If you like this timmey-whimmey stuff and circles of no real beginning and so on, it is a really good book. But i don’t like this style of stories. For me such things don’t make sense in the end.

But yeah for everyone else a real good book 😉

DW: The Stealers of Dreams

Hi Guys,
for me is nearlly midnight. So not look to close. After the disappointing book, i startet to read the next book of ‘New Series Adventure‘ with mixed feelings. I didn’t want to have to high expectations, but lets talk about the important things.
This book is featuring the ninth Doctor, Rose Tyler and Captain Jack Harkness. To take the main opinion first, i liked it.

For the most time all three are on their own. Jack is totally like we know and love him. He don’t need the Doctor to get shit done. So doesn’t Rose. Of course at the end of the day the Doctor saves everyone. But i think the book shown really good the strength and weaks of the the characters. Also it is one of the few books with really good secondary characters. They are not all sympatic but interesting.

The Story is not the best, but it’s kinda interessting. What fiction can do to us? Or what the absend of fiction do to us? That are the questions that came up in the book. Dreams are such a big and interesting theme and i like what they do with it. What is realty and what is a dream? I like how they play with it.  The end is a little bit hasted and anti-climatic. But on the other hand i can’t really imagine an other good end.

So yeah definitly not the best book but totally not the worst. I think it is a nice entertaiment.

Me and my tv-series

Hi Guys,

i wanted to make a meme-thing for tumblr and i should decide for 10 series. 10… really how could i decide for 10 serie. I have watched so much and i forgot so much serie i love. Actually can’t say i have a favorite serie. I mean of course i am hyping Doctor Who the most but you could hype other serie like that because there is not so much. Teen wolf i am just watching the serie and i love it. Firefly is one of the best but i never really wanted to read the comic or things like that. I love the serie all of their own way. How could you ever say that firefly is better than pysch or one tree hill. They are so different on all levels. I will try… 10 series…

DW: Attack of the cybermen

Hey Guys,

welcome to a new Story of the sixth Doctor. It is the start of the new season – ähmm season 22. One of the big changes are the format. I liked the 25 minutes episodes. You find every day 25 minutes to watch a episode but 45 minutes are a very different thing.  So i am not a really big fan of that change.

Soo a new episode with a new Doctor and old enemys. The cybermen are not my favorite but i like them. They are not so different from the Daleks.

The Episode starts with a thing i really dislike. He repairs the chameleon circuit and really the TARDIS isn’t the TARDIS with out her shape of the police box. But it seems that it didn’t work like he want. So the TARDIS is changing it’s shape but not like it should. Than the tour in the past goes on. He call Peri names of former companions and they visited Totter’s Lane.

Cybermen are back and with them a other old enemy – Lytton. He worked for the Daleks and know is working for the cybermen. But i just don’t get really in the story… it just don’t get me.

So the cybermen entered the TARDIS, how ever they did it. But we see a new race. The look kinda interessting. Also it seems that Lytton have after plans. The Doctor is a prisoner of the cybermen and yeah… not my story 😉

DW: Dark Eyes – X and the Daleks

Hi Guys,

welcome to the last part of the ‘Dark Eyes’. So i am even more excited to hear the ‘Dark Eyes 2’.

So the Doctor is slowly seeing the whole picture. Everything is leading to the climax. Doctor and Molly get separate and she has a moment she can demonstrate her strength and the Doctor get help from a man Nadeyan.

Molly is totally a good character. She is a strong person and see things like they are. They are talking about trust, about sacrifice and what a good life is. Molly talks about her life and she want to do the right thing. She sees through the Doctor like she knows him. She sees his broken heart and everything she does is healing him without anyone is knowing it.

Oh and i haven’t said anything about the music. It is really good and emotional music. It is amazing what you can do with music.

The enemy is chatty like the most of them. A time lord against the other time lords and again the time lords interferring and i don’t know if they ever do something really good. But that makes them so interessting. They are a perfect gray. Are the better than the Daleks? Are they worse? That question is growning in us. The Doctor have a answer but do we have also a answer to that?

We are hearing the Time Lords tell Nadeyan what he done. But Nadeyan save Molly. He descide to be a better person and the time lords don’t really to understand it. Of course the Doctor understand but that is the Doctor we know.

Also we can see how people can change. We have a regeneration against regeneration and that is really amazing thing. If you will met your pastself what would it think of you. Would it like the changes you made or will it be disappointed. That is a really interessting question and a little bit depressing.

The End is a little sad and really good. Molly left the  Doctor to be where she belongs and the Doctor is alone again. But luckly she will be back in season 2. Because she is really amazing and i will hear more adventures with her.

DW: Dark Eyes – Tangled Web

Hi Guys, lets start with part 3.

So we learn more about Molly and her past and a little bit of the one who works with Daleks. It is really interessting what alliance were made.

Molly is a little bit nostalgic and she talks about her mistress, her best friend, her family… mostly it goes about hope. Hope is a very big and complicated theme. But than the Doctor is becoming weak or ill.

Also there is a very interessting scene with the Time Lords. You never know what they are planning and than something happend. Daleks are just not like what they seems. They seems to be good and evoleped to creatures without the shell. Just that is for me an interessting maintheme. But Molly also questioned the Doctor. She questioned his morality( this is not quite the word i searched…), she want to see good in everything even the Daleks – something the Doctor never could believe in that. Molly was actually pretty good points and she is totally not wrong. She says that the Doctor and the Daleks are two sides of the same coin. That is a theme that is really often in Doctor Who. How different are the Doctor and the Daleks.

Also the ‘good’ Daleks are for referring to the great war…that makes it so good. I love to see this as the start of the great time war. Soo~

DW: Only Human

Hi Guys ,

we have the middle of the week, yeah. Not long and it is weekend a long weekend in germany because it is Pfingsten.

But now the the next book of the ‘New Series Adventure‘ it featured the ninth Doctor, Rose and Captain Jack Harkness. I love Jack so i was really happy to see that he is part of the crew in this book – I am also a big fan of Torchwood. But he doesn’t have a real role in this book. They let Jack stay behind, have the adventure with out him and than take him back. Also the few scenes with him are not the Jack i love. He is too judgmental about looks. For me that is totally out of character.

So the Doctor and Rose are having their adventure. There is so much you could have done with this stuff. But it is just the ordnary story and i don’t like how modern the talking in 26185 BC. They are so much things in this story that good give a great story, but the take the must rediculess part of it and give it so much time.

What else can i say… i don’t like the book very much.

DW: Dark Eyes – Fugitives

So Guys,

my parents prestend my the season 2 of ‘Dark Eyes’ and i am really excited to hear it. Even morenow that i know that there will be a part 3. But before i will talk about ‘Dark Eyes 2’ i will talk about the other parts of ‘Dark Eyes 1’. So here is part 2.

The first part ends with the attack of the Daleks.  So this starts with a woman, how is working with a secret computer and reciving a message from the Doctor. I was really confused at first but than we are back at the Doctor and the attack. Molly is really amazing. I love how she not totally trust the Doctor. Also i like her reaction of the TARDIS. She don’t take shit from everyone.

Also we have another Time Lord and a TARDIS. I like it when we have more Time Lords. The Master and the Monk are just perfect. I like them really much. The Time Lords are totally forever deep gray. So you never know excatly what their attention are.

So i must say there are a few parts in this part that are a little confusing. The talk with the time lord for example. Did he remember, when did it happen and so one. It is for me a little difficult to follow sometimes.But this is the only weak point on that story.

I like the maintheme. The war, hope, the nature of human and time lord or the nature of he Doctor. Also the nature of the Daleks. That is what a really interessting theme. I like the Daleks. They are one of my favorite monsters on Doctor – but i don’t like them in the Moffats-Era. But that is a different theme and we will discuss this on a other point i am sure of it.

Than we came to the fun part. We hear Mollys really ernest characteristics. But she also can be fun and i love how she gets excited and have fun. She is really amazing and they will also have this litte things that  seems not quite right. How she didn’t understands the aliens.  There is a mystery around her.

Believe: Episode 11 Revelation

Hi Guys,
i don’t know if you know Believe. If you don’t know it just watch it Sunday on nbc. It is totally worth it. When i first heart of the Serie I came out of the star trek movie and just looked at the storyline and thought that it was nothing special but i will watch it because JJ Abrams. So i set it one my watchlist and forgot about it. Than my friend talk me into Hannibal and i had to watch the second season (i am not finshed with it yet). But one episode there were this clip of Believe and remembered that i stand on my list. So i watched the Pilot with the thought i will just watch the pilot. But than i i saw William Tate (Jake McLaughlin) and Janice Channing (Jamie Chung) interacted and i loved it from the first moment. Than the story started to go on and Tat met Bo (Johnny Sequoyah) and the chemistry between this two are amazing.

If you just tell what the Story is about you think yeah nothing special but every episode is made with so much love, the story is emotional, have a little action and the dark background of the characters. The Characters are so well written. They are not black and white. They all have their faults. I fall in love with that serie on the first episode. That is something that happen not often for a while. I really love it and i am really sad about the decision to don’t make a second season. Of all the series i have seen this quartel it was totally the best. This is one of the series i will buy when the DVD comes out.

Sooo~ Episode 11 that means sadly that there only is one more episode.

Channings condition is getting worse and Bos fear to lose Tate is also growing. She don’t want to lose anymore people. So she have a really naive idea to talk to Scarus and tell him that he should let them alone. Of course that is a supid idea, but Tate tells her it is a beautiful idea and that he will stand behind her. I really think it is a good decision he made. He choose to thought her to made a stand for what she wants, to fight the fear. So they both made a plan and go to a big event. She tells Scarus that i want to live a normal life with her Dad.

She is so strong. She made a decision. Some people will say it was a easy decision but i don’t think so. She is afraid of him (Scarus) but she stands but to him und later she decide to left Winter, who was the nearest to a father she had before tate, and to be with her Dad. Also she decide to forgive him. I think the scene are really beautiful and i love how Tate don’t say anything to influence her.  He is just their and made sure she knows that he will be at her side. I am really excited for the next episode. Because Danny is getting ill and goes after Bo. Also we know for sure know that Bos mother had the same thing Danny have. So everyone is just waiting to see a sign of that illness on Bo.
