DW: S09x01

Hey Guys,
the new season of Doctor Who started and i am disapointed. I dislike like almost everything but i seem to be the only one that thinks like that… if the season goes on like that it will definitly not find the way into my cupboard. This was one of the worst i have seen. And the Daleks are not the worst of it. Were do i start?

UNIT

What did UNIT become? When something happens they call Clara. This is stupid. Nothing against Clara. I like her very much. But there was for example Martha who really worked for UNIT. But when something happend the call a teacher. UNIT never waited for the Doctor. Yes the Brig made sure that the Doctor when he was there got to handle the big stuff but he made his own calls and could work without the Doctor. They didn’t call for help. They always did their own thing. That is their job. This not cool, not fun this is just stupid. I want UNIT back that is actually UNIT. People how don’t get everytime civilians involved. I like Kate but when i see how she handle UNIT i think we should actually go for a new head…

Genesis of the Daleks

Here the episode is give us something of a really good Dalek episode. The fourth Doctor with the mission to destroy the Daleks. He decide against it and how many time does he thinks back and would do it differently. The ninth Doctor would have done it… would he. Like everyone who follows me know is that i love nothing more about the Daleks than the simualarity to the Doctor. Here we have Davros as a young boy how needs help. Help which the Doctor don’t want to give after he knows it is Davros. He is leaving the boy for death. And the argument that he doesn’t leave him for death because he knows that he survives is bullshit. He leaves him for death and maybe he survives and maybe that is what makes him what he is later but that is all not true. Davros is developing the Daleks for a total different reason and we already know that form the Genesis of the Daleks.

Missy

This was a total grabbed the toilett… no explaination how she could survive. She is back does alot of stupid things without sense and wants Clara to find the Doctor for her. This is the master. The master the longest enemy of the Doctor and he can’t do this on his own? Really… why can’t nobody do anything without Clara? She is going on my nerves and i hate that i have to see the master that lost every character development of ‘the end of time’ again. Missy would have made a good master before Simm as the master but after… totally not.
The way the Doctor and everyone is acting with her is… i could scream. Also Kates don’t shot her is going on my nerves. Really i don’t think that someone should ever shot another person. But the Brig would have never let this slide. The Brig knows how dangerous the master is and would have take the steps…
But hey, let’s play after the master rules. Let her kill a few UNIT soldiers to make sure nobody thinks she is good and hold the fire… and watch how she kills your own.

The Doctor

The way the Doctor is acting… i hate everything about it. The Doctor was not always against weapons but he became a many that hate weapons and the twelfth was not different and he hated everything about soldiers and now he is playing with a tank? He rocks? More relaxed version of the Doctor? This is the eleventh Doctor not the twelfth. The childish, dumb things and the running away and hiding that was the eleventh and i am done with it. The last season the Doctor was deeper than that. Also a testament? Really? He has a new circle of lifes…
But yeah again we have the start with the Doctor will die tomorrow… nothing new… that was the six season.

Also do anyone really think Clara and Missy are dead? This was so stupid and anti-climax… Nothing of it makes any sense. Please…please stop…

DW: The Stone Rose

Hey Guys,
now that i sadly had read every book of the ‘New Serie Adventure‘ with the ninth Doctor, i started the Stone Rose the first book of the serie with the tenth Doctor. The Story takes place in the 120’s the ancient Rome. Rose and the Doctor are travling there because Mickey found in 2007 a statue looking like Rose. This first part the big family trip to the national museum is really funny. But watch holds the rest of the book for us.

Who is it?

I don’t know how it was when the book was publiced. But i think it was like now with the twelfth Doctor. That the author had to writte about the new Doctor without really nowing him. The get a little information and had to work with it. I hope that it is that way. Because i don’t find the tenth Doctor in that book. There are little things like the Doctor trying to adjust to the time he visit. I don’t think i can recall any Doctor that would’ve done that. The Tenth Doctor visit greek in his coat and chucks… he never change, the tenth Doctor is an extremly emotinal Doctor. Here i doesn’t see this in him. The tenth Doctor is the Doctor that is part of the family. He is staying for dinner with Rose and her Mam. He is building a conaction to Mickey. He is not the one anymore that goes out searching the adventure on his own.

Fortuna

We have Rose as goddess Fortuna, a missing person, a slave that seems to see the future or not, a artist that makes skupltures with out even working on it. We all know how is most suspecious to be the suspect in this missing case. In the end we have alot of stuff going on and the whole story becomes a big paradox. Too much for my liking but the book did something i really like. The Doctor got a lot of time to have an adventure on his on and Rose have hers too. That is not oven the case. Also i apprechiat the way Rose is portrayed from the Doctor. She is a lot like the describe Fortuna. This is Rose. She is not the perfect girl. She can be for a few people like goddess or just an ordinary girl, she can be nice and cruel. She left Mickey… i really like Rose, but to often people forget that she was cruel to Mickey. That she broke his heart and than always gave him hope for more. We should remember her good sides and her bad sides, and she had like every human being alot of flaws.

DW: The Clockwise Man

Hey Guys,
so here we go with the first adventures from the New Serie Adventures The Clockwise man. The ninth Doctor is visiting with Rose London in October 1924 to see the British Empire Exhibition. The Story takes place after the story The Unquiet Dead. Rose reverse alot to it in the Story.

Tick, Tock, goes the clock…

Tick, tock, this is also how the story goes it is stedy it have no ups and downs, it just goes tick, tock, … Also you may have sensed it, it goes about the clock-robots (what was their name?). We see them in episodes like ‘The Girl in the fireplace’ or ‘Deep Breath’ but they accured also in earlier stories like ‘The Mind Robber’. I never was a big fan of them but they work mostly in the stories very well.
They story has his turns but it turns so slow that you can see them coming in the long way. To be honest the ‘biggest’ twist i didn’t see but i wasn’t surprised because if you look clearly it was scream in your face. Most of the time you are just to focused on the kid.

The little Prince

The Story about the kid – Freddie – isn’t important at all. I love Freddie he is sweet and you can so feel with him. He is the best in this story and sometime i was very afraid that he will not survive. I most saw to my shame that i like Rose totally don’t make the circle but the haemophilia. This was really sloopy reading on me side. For Freddie it was worth reading the book.

So this book is some of the really weak books, but it has Freddie in it and he is a really good character.

DW: Sands of Time

Hey Guys,
i was fighting with this Doctor Who Book ‘Sands of Time’. It is the 22th book of the Missing Adventure Serie and get her print in the Monster Collection. The 5th Doctor is traveling with Tegan and Nyssa and it takes place after Adrics death. The whole is playing in very different time periodes.

Different Times and persons

The biggest problem of the book is that it has to many different times and views to tell. We have two sides of the view of different people. It springs in time and people and you don’t now where, when and who you are. Also nothing of this seems logic because everything the Doctor does he did because he did it before. So in this story doesn’t seemed to be a beginning and an real end. With the time everything gets clearer but i hate to read such little croutons…

An endless circle?

There is a lot of stuff not explained – just a few little things that bother me. Also this story is a circle kinda like the novel Festival of Death. It is not clear were the start point is and were the end, because the do things because they now they do it. But why did they do it in the first place? The bad people do things because they now they happend… but were did it all start.

Nyssa and Tegan

I am not a big fan of these both companions. But this book is not nice to the characters. Tegan has a little to do, but mostly she is bored and Nyssa just has do be a mummy… so they don’t have a good character arc any moments to shine. The only good thing about the book is how they play with the stories in tv serie – like Pyramids of Mars and Black Orchid

DW: The Blood Cell

Hey Guys,
i read the first book of Doctor Who with the twelfth Doctor – the blood cell. It is part of the New serie Adventure and take place somewhere when Clara and Danny are already dating. I would say it has to be after he was the janitor. Because she is talking about bringing the Doctor with her to school. I read the book in one day, i think that says alot about the book.

My Adventures with the Doctor

This book is complete written in the first person. It is little special, because the athor choose a person we don’t know. Also it is not real a sypampty carrier. He is the Governor of a prison, where the Doctor is send in. So the Governor as the pleasure of dealing with the Doctor. Also he has a lot of problems with his prison. All the systems are malefunction.

Twelfth Doctor

This book as a difficult task. Because they had to write the Doctor before they have seen him. So most of the time it could be the twelfth Doctor, but on other time you think that this isn’t what the twelfth Doctor would do. For example making baloon animals for the kids…but i will look over this because, all this was written before the athor has seen how Peter Capaldi played him. Most of the time it doesn’t show because of the first person way of telling the story.

Clara

I think everyone knows Clara i don’t have to tell you who she is. Here in this book she is our typical Clara. But it is a little sad that she got really little action. Just in the end she can run away with the Doctor and got captured. This is the only part that i don’t like about the book.

The story is not a great, special story. But it is good enough to work. It works just fine, it is a little different and interessting enough to keep me ready the whole night. So yeah read it.

DW: Dark Eyes 3 – Masterplan

Hey Guys,
i know that it is weeks after the last part of the Dark Eyes 3, but i listen to the third part again and again. It has everything a good episode needs: Amazing Characters, the Doctor and the Master. The Doctor want to change the rules. The rules that should be changed. This is the amazing thing about the eightDoctor. The Eight Doctor is always an the edge.

Changing the Past

The big war is not come, it already started and the Doctor doesn’t have a solution, big wonderfull plan that makes everything good again. He is always losing. Every step on the way the Timelords using him, the master is one step ahead. So he choose to change the past, to prevant the events that lead to the emenience.
This is bringing us in a situation were the Doctor and the Master need to work. The bickering is really amazing. I love how the talk a little about their past.
Also here again the Master is judging the Doctor and with every right. The Doctor has seen too much, thats why he want to break the rules. The Master asking him what he thinks he is: Jury, Judge and Execution.
The is always the most interessting in their relationship. Their sumularity, the way they judge each other, the mistakes both do to fight each other, how the can’t with each and not without.

Liv

In the first adventure (Dark Eyes 2 – The Traitor) of Liv, I didn’t like her much but over the adventures with her i really beginn to love her. She is really interessting and good character. The relationship between the Doctor and her are unstable. It changes and it is amazing to see what it will be next. In this adventure the Doctor left her with the scientist, which work will be the beginning of the invasion of the Emeniece.

Missing someone

As much i love to have more of Sally the companion of the master. I miss Molly and i miss Molly and the Doctor interacting. But the interactions between Liv and Sally make up for it. Sally is an really clever woman and she really believed in the Master. Everyone will say that this was a mistake, but i don’t think so…not on a personal level of course.
Liv is talking to Sally about her relationship with the master. It is interessting that this are true for many relationships of the Doctor. He had alot of ‘her’ before, telling him how wonderfull he is and in the end their is someone more important – Molly. Yes it is the relationship from him and Sally, or later from him and Martha… it will go on and on. I love Vicki so much more than Susan but it started their. He take Vicki with him to fill the emptiness Susan left. The Doctor and the master are really simular.

This can’t be the end of…

This includes probably a big spoiler. This so sad and it was just perfect… this changes alot – i think. The scientist is crazy. He is doing a experiments. He traps Liv and Sally in two different chambers and let the coincendence decide which will die in the experiments.
Here we see the biggest differnet about them. Liv doesn’t want to die, but she accepted it when she knows that she can’t do anything. Sally can’t except it, she is crying, scream, fighting till the end.
When the Master found out he is depressed about it, but he isn’t showing it and moves on. He take Liz with him.

DW: Dark Eyes 3 – The Reviled

Hey Guys,
the second part of the ‘Dark Eyes 3’ is so much better than the last. It is an adventure like we know it. It is not the strongest story but it is a solide story.

Timelords handling problems

This is why the time lords are interesting and why i so much dislike them. They have their own way to handle problems. They are not the good ones. They have a wisdom about the world but they handle it with great sacrifices and they never try to justify their action. They don’t need to. To kill humans so they can’t fall in the ends of the enemy is an action that is okay. The Time Lords always have a level of the question does the end justify the means.

Reunion of the Doctor and Liv

The Doctor is on that planet to stand in the way of the master. The timecards using him as a chase stone. Liv is also there to help. The human are colonists and the other species is seeing him now in the war as a danger. The Doctor and Liv get together again and i love to hear them interact again. Also the Doctor get to know that Liv is ill and will die. This is bringing the Doctor to an idea. Which we hopefully see in the next episode.

The war

This is the beginning of a war. A real big war and in that the time lords are battling there own. Right now it seems like a play the master against the time lords and the doctor. All the other don’t play a big role right now. But this is what makes it so good and realistic.

DW: Dark Eyes 3 – The Death of Hope

Hey Guys,

Dark Eyes 4 is no out i am haven’t listend to the complete Dark Eyes 3. But no i started it and the first story started with the Time Lords. Dark Eyes is eveloping in an amazing big story about a war between Time Lords, the master, the Daleks and Emenice. Somewhere in the mix we have Molly and she is an amazing companion. But yeah, let’s start about the story.

Something new

This Story is taking a different approuch than the others before. The Doctor is with the timelords and has to look what happend. The story is completelly about the master and Molly. Also we see his companion Sally again. The Master took Molly and use her to make experience. She is not just imhuman, but can also make others immune. At first the Master seems to help the people that are attack by the Emenice. But we all know the master better than that.

The Doctor

The Doctor just watched. But he wants to help Molly. The time lord don’t want him to do without his permission. It seems like the Doctor is make this deal with him. But we all know that the Doctor is not good with rules and orders. That is not who he is and it will never be him.

So i don’t like this story as much as i like the other. But it is solide story and is leading to something bigger and i am really excited to see were this will lead.

Doctor Who: Scherzo

Hey Guys,

let’s talk about Scherzo of Doctor Who. It is part of the main range of the Doctor Who audio story – to be excatly number 52. To be clear it is maybe not a good starting point for people, who don’t know much adventures of the eighth Doctor and don’t know Charley (Charlotte Pollard). Like you maybe know for me it was like that. Of course… i had the same problem with the last companions Fitz and Anjal.

It is the first adventure that plays in the Divergent Universe. The problem with it is that you need the story before to fully understand what is happing. So beaware that now everything can be a spoiler.

Charlotte Pollard

She is one of the human companion of the Doctor. She seems to have a interessting timeline. Because she is the companion of the eighth Doctor, but later she apparently travels with the sixth Doctor.
So it seems that the eighth Doctor saved Charley from her death that seems to be a fixpoint in time, what breaks the law of time and the time lord handled it with exile him in to the Divergent Universe and Charley is following him there.
Later she meets the sixth Doctor what is problematic because of the foreknowledge of his future. Even later the Doctor have to explain his actions to her.

Start of the Story

We get through in the story. The Doctor is exiled and have to choose to go in the light or the dark. The light is like we get to know the Divergent Universe. But this isn’t the decision of the Doctor it is the decision of Charley. The Doctor seems in this story to be again on a point were he give up (what seems to be a habid of the eighth Doctor). He wants to die.
Charley in this story is really sympatic to me. She isn’t to let the Doctor throw shit at her and that what he does the whole time. He is that asshole timelord we all love once in a while. The first two episodes were almost just the two of them fighting or ignoring each other.

Boring?

Does it sound boring maybe. But it is an amazing story and it give the characters so much time to shine and struggle. We just have the two of them and we can see so much of how it looks like in them. We hear Charley struggling with the way the Doctor is dealing with things. Also apparently the Doctor told her that he loved her, but know he tells her that he didn’t mean it. Charley get’s really emotional and i think everyone can feel with her hear. The Doctor is just like really you want to this things now? And to be truthful this is a side of the Doctor i missed. Totally don’t get why somethings seems so important to human, just things about the mystery and giving everyone the fault just not himself.

Fighting back?

This story shows us a perfect inside of the Doctor and why he chooses this companions. This Story is characterisation of him. Everything is so much the Doctor. This is the most interessting in this story to see which things you find in every Doctor and the things that just are the parts of the eigtht. It is amazing how the Doctor is charactisated here. Charley also is fighting her place into my heart.

If you want a really good story, with really good character inside. Listen to Scherzo. It is really amazing. I love it already really much. I hope Big Finish never stops make such amazing stories.

DW: 50th anniversary special

Hey Guys,
i rewatched the 50th anniversary special. When i watched it for the first time i kinda liked it. It was one of the better episodes but i never say it as an anniversary special…there was nothing really special… it could have been any episode… but know many thing i dislike now…

Three Doctors

I love to see David Tennant again as the Doctor. He is my favorite Doctor and always was. John Hurt is an amazing Doctor and i would have loved to see more of him. But this is just a celebration of the last years… not of all 50th years…This special shows me why i love David and why i dislike Matts Doctor so much… the Doctor forgets… i just forgets how many people he had killed. He don’t have to live with that fault like the tenth Doctor did. But how could he forget…moving on is a good thing, but forgetting not.

Bad Wolf

I am really happy that they didn’t bring Rose back, but Billie Piper. She is amazing and i love her as the Bad Wolf trying to stop the Doctor. I love how she interact and is looking at him. It is like in a way she is Rose but not the real Rose. Bring the real Rose back would have distroyed everything.

Two storys

It is for one the story of the Doctor making the decision to sacrifice Gallifrey and the story of the invasion of the Zygons. The Zygon story is not the best, but it have their moments and totally works for what it should do. But the Gallifrey story is now really bussering me. I don’t have a problem with bringing Gallifrey back. I love to see other timelords again. Of seeing Romana again. Time Lords are the best enemies ever. My problem is not even that they take that decision the ninth and the tenth Doctor have to live with from them. But watching this season before the special, makes me hate it. Because the whole season with Clara is a big friendly buttom. Nothing the Doctor does have consequenzes. He can save them, save all of them. no consequenzes. Never…

Clara and the other things…

I hate what Clara tells the eleventh Doctor. The warrior, the hero and the Doctor. That is stupid everyone of them is the Doctor. The tenth Doctor wasn’t a hero. He never was and if anyone thing about him like that, i think that they miss understood him. He was a god… a lonely god. Which makes decisions about life and death, he was someone, who thought of himself as a god, which can is own rules. He wasn’t a hero.
Also not everyone can be a hero… this is stupid a hero.. isn’t an easy think.
Also i hate the picture they are drawing of the Doctor. He always finds another way, he always saves everyone… that is not true. The first Doctor doesn’t even care about what happend to Ian and Barbara… He just thought about himself. How often did the Doctor destroyed the Daleks or did murder a race? He did it. This sacrificing Gallifrey is something the Doctor would do, can do, and did do. It is only logic for him. Everyone that thinks the Doctor could never do say a decision should watch Doctor Who again. Pompeji is only one example and when you now tell me this is something just RT Davis did, than i can only tell you watch the classic. He always did this thing.
