Torchwood: Visiting Hours

Hey Guys,

here we go with the new season of Torchwood – Visiting Hours . I was really excited about it because really Rhys William deserves his own adventure. He is amazing and such a great character that definitly deserves the screen time. Truth be told Rhys is one reason i hate Gwen so much and the only reason i can accept her. The way she treated Rhys in the first two seasons was… alone for that. But Rhys loves her and that makes her acceptable.

On his own

Rhys always gets his stuff done. We have seen him deal with alot. When he found out about Torchwood his whole life changed but with all that shit going down, he never stoppt being himself and believe in the world and see the good things.
Look at Owen or Tosh Torchwood made them cynical. Torchwood changes people. Rhys is not looking away. He is always trying his best. Yes i love him. Here he got now is adventure on his own. Sadly i think the could have done more with it. Rhys is alright on is own. Of course he is not totally alone.

What happens

Rhys is spending a night in the hospital with his mother. He runs into something suspicious and is trying to find out what is going on. So he ends with his mother on the run in the floors of the hospital. That is the sad stuff. I really like the Mum stuff. She is just right mix of annoying and totally lovely. The story is not bad also… it is just… it could be more. This story just scratched the survice.

This is actually the first time i listend to a Torchwood adventure and thought that could have been more. So i am really sad that this is a adventure with one of my favorite characters that really didn’ got enough time to shine. He is amazing and i hope we will have alot more adventures with him.

Torchwood One – Before the fall: Uprising

Hey Guys,

welcome to the last part of ‘Torchwood One – Before the fall’. This is the story were everything comes together. Yvonne found out what Rachel is after and is making herself ready for the war. I will not write very much about it. Because this is not very different form the two adventures before. We still deal with the same characters. The focus is still on Yvonne and Ianto.

The way of telling the story is still the same of the other two. Yvonne is show how good she is and his doing her dirty work herself to take back Torchwood One.

Ianto one the other hand needs to deside on which side he is. Does he believes in Yvonne and help her or does he choose to stand with Rachel in the final fight?

So yeah the story is great and amazing. I don’t want to spoil you anything so just go and listen to this amazing 3parter.
It made me smile and cry… it has everything a good story needs.

Torchwood One – Before the fall: Through the Ruins

Hey Guys,

welcome to the second part of this Torchwood adventure – ‘Torchwood One – Before the Fall’. The first part was out of the sight of Rachel. Now that we actually now that Rachel is not what she seemed and she got Yvonnes job, the second story is mostly about Yvonne and Ianto.

Ianto Jones and his day out

This is why i really love this story. Because we got to see alot about Iantos life. We met is roommate and what he tells him about his life. We see him interact with his friends at Torchwood. Ianto is with his two friends out on ‘field day’ for team training. To see Ianto so full of life and without that darkness in him is everything. I love the Ianto we met in the Torchwood serie. But this Ianto is not broken and it is so good to listen to it.

Yvonne cleans up

The other part of the story is not any less good. I really love Yvonne. The way she handles things. You never know if she is really good or not. She isn’t for killing innocent but she also is ready to do everything. Yvonne is such a great and interessting character. In this story she is the ‘good’ one. She is trying to find out what Rachel is up to and how she can stop her.
Also what i really love is the respect that Yvonne has for Ianto. Since Torchwood is her whole life, she doesn’t have many people in her life. But she has a deep respect and trust for Ianto. This i really love, because it shows how much she cares about people. It shows has another side of her.

Listing or not

The solid story became an amazing story. Because now the focus is on the best characters in Torchwood One. Really this story is everything i hope from this adventure. So yeah this is a definitly need to listing to this amazing story. Ianto and Yvonne are the best.

Torchwood One – Before the fall: New Girl

Hey Guys,

there was no way i couldn’t listen to the radio play Torchwood One – Before the Fall. It is a full-cast drama with three parts. It is the normal packaging as the other Three-Parter. Ianto Jones alone is a good reason to actually listen to it. But after the Torchwood Drama ‘One Rule’ i totally fall in love with Yvonne. So two lovely person in one adventure about the fallen Torchwood One. How could i say no?

I am Rachel Allen

The first episode is out of the perspective of a new girl. Rachel Allen seems like a nice girl that is totally exceited about working for Torchwood. I am not a big fan of her but she seems interessting enough. She interacts alot with Ianto Jones so this not really bad. We also good a few hints of Lisa. The Story is about how she deals with working in Torchwood. Friday night the colleges met and enjoy the evening. At these event Rachel hears a rumor and after that get Reconed. Someone in Torchwood seems to work for someone/something else.

Listing or not

The story is solid enough. It has alot of Ianto and alot of Yvonne in it and that are good reason for actually listing to it. Ianto is Yvonnes personal assistant and him working with Yvonne is one thing i actually need more about. The story is okay. It is nothing special. I am not really into the character of Rachel so it is not a story that completely captured me. But it is solid and has really amazing characters in it and there is more to everything than we thought. So yeah listen to it.

Torchwood Outbreak – Stage Three Invasion: Kill

welcome to the last part of Torchwood Outbreak were everything gets together. Everyone is coming to Cardiff Castle (which be the way really beautiful and totally worth a visit).

They warn people to…

The people in charge find out that Jack got infected and got his body to the place Andy is already. Gwen is on the way their and infected. Ianto met the first infected and make his way to the Cardiff Castle. Rhys aready figured out that Gwen wants to kill him…
The people in charge starts to ‘hand out’ the cure…or is there really one?
I really can’t say anything else without telling you to much.

Listing or not

It is the final episode of this story and it is amazing. Not so much fun like the second but it is quite the dramatic finale we know about Torchwood. Every episode is really good but as a whole story they are even better. Everything is quite clear in the end but there is just one thing that is still a mystery and maybe will always be a mystery: Norton Folgate.
This is Torchwood with everything we love and i can’t wait for the third season of Torchwood to start. With alot of stories i didn’t know i wanted sooo badly.
A word about the packaging. It is like the most Boxes of Big Finish. Three single CD-wraps and around them there is cardboard cover. Nothing special but good enough to look not bad.

Torchwood Outbreak – Stage Two Prodromal: Love

Hey Guys,

welcome back to the second and amazing adventure of Torchwood Outbreak. The second episode is amazing and i love it. I am already listing to it the second time in a row. It is fun and dramatic. It just have everything i love about Torchwood and everything i learnt to love about Torchwood when Big Finish started.

Pretty Boy against Pretty Boy

The second part of the story of Outbreak is mostly about Ianto and Jack. Jack is infected with the virus and looked himself in but something got wrong and Ianto is no trapped inside with Jack. Jack has a few flashbacks and we learn that he knew Norton Folgate and seems to be responsible for the ‘virus’ the first time.
Ianto our pretty boy get the what-ever-protector to actually talk to the other pretty boy Norton Folgate.
Norton Folgate is an amazing character and is always fun. Norton is involved in the whole ‘Good-Thinking’-Projekt. The funny thing about all this is you never know if Norton is lying or telling the truth. We never know on which side he is on and that makes him so a great thing. You just don’t know what he will do next.

Others

Gwen doesn’t have a real role in this episode. I am sure that this will change in the third and last adventure. Like i said the most part is about Ianto/Jack and Norton. But we also got a little of Rhys and also Andi who gets himself in really bad situation. Of course Rhys tries to do something stupid.

Listing or not

Oh my god go and listen to this episode. Norton is a good reason to listen to it. He makes the story so much more fun. There is nothing i love more than Nortons unhelpfull coments.
Also it is a really amazing Ianto and Jack story. I got so many feelings about them. Sometimes the way the two love each other is killing me. Right now i have so many feelings about this pairing. Also my ship is sailing: Norton is asking for Andi.

Torchwood: Outbreak – Stage One Incubation: Know

Hey Guys,

welcome to the Torchwood Adventure ‘Outbreak – Stage One Incubation: Know’. I am so happy that i actually found the time to start listing to it. As many of you already know i am totally in love with Torchwood and even more with the Big Finish stuff. Outbreak is a adventure with three parts and also a full-cast radio play. It plays after the second season and before ‘Children of Earth’. So we have an adventure with Jack, Ianto, Gwen, Rhys and Andi.

Story

Like the name suggest it is about something that spreads like an epidime. We know not much about it. Just that one infected person got arrested by Andi and wants to talk to Torchwood. We all know that Torchwood is in Cardiff an open secret. This infected person seems to have killed someone because he is full of blood and he always asked for his wife – so i think he actually killled the wife about that is just what i think. Also the skin is twitching… and it spreads fast.

It doesn’t happen much in this episode. It is more of prologue were you got the feeling for the story and the whole action will be – hopefully – in the other two episodes. The episode is not boring far form it. Because we love all the characters.

Everyone gets their time

Gwen and Ianto are going to handle a few curios reports that escaleted pretty fast. We got alot of – i have problem finding the right word – snipping at each other like their were together.
Jack is going to the station and talk to the infected person. Jack gets to interact with almost everyone like always.
The amazing thing is that we got so little scenes not just about the story but about the characters. We got Rhys and we got Andi deal with everything. Everyone has their scenes.

Listing or not

It is hard to say more about the episode without telling to much. It is just Torchwood we love and the characters we love. So yes go and listen to it. The first part sets an interessting setting and i am really excited to see were they are going with that story.

The Torchwood Archive

Hey Guys,

it is here The Torchwood Archive. I must say that i was a little disapointed when i saw the how small the CD is. The Cd box is really small and i also dislike the way the CDs are stored. But apart from this CD box is beautifull. It is totally Torchwood and embossed silver. Look at it your self.

What is Torchwood

This is a story about the History of Torchwood. The Basic of this story is that Jeremiah – just one guy from a future – that is visting the Torchwood Archive. He is there to shut it down but before he does it he wants to know what Torchwood and Object One is.
So he got lead through the archive by our love Andy which promised fun. But before that he also met hologramms of Ianto and Jack. Which give me so much feelings. This hologramms – more like computerprogramms – are so much like they original were.
But back to the story. Andi is leading him through to different scenes that are explaining what Torchwood is and what that Object One is. So we got scenes in different times and different characters. Some scene are really short others are longer, some seems so useless but everyone is amazing.

What we got

We got a story that i think almost everyone can listen and understand without knowing everything else, but it has so much goddies for the fans. Really got Captain Jack Harkness in his best form. We got Ianto Jones and we got both of them together. We got Gwen and Rhys. Also we have Suzie, Yvonne, Andi, Tosh and many others. Also we get my new favorite Character Norton.
But we got so much. We got an idea of what Tosh and Owen could have been. We finaly got a picture why Hopkins has killed everyone in Torchwood. Also we got a few Information about the Committee. We just got everything you need to love the story.

There is not one thing that i would change about it or what i would bad or could be better. It is just everything. You got the characters you love, get more background stories, hints future stories. One of the best thing was Yvonne scene were the Torchwood Archive couldn’t give information out because it is classified for Torchwood. I just can’t wait for the next adventure with them. The only thing i still need is Owen Harper back.

Suprise, suprise The Torchwood Archive is for me a totally listing too. I mean not tha i every said something else about the Torchwood stories. But none aless this is an anniversary celebration how it should be. It was everything in it. So go and buy this Cd and celebrated the 10 anniversary of Torchwood. It were amazing 10 years with amazing stories. So why are you still reading this, go listen to this story.

Torchwood – Zone 10

Hey Guys,

welcome to the newest Big Finish Torchwood adventure ‘Zone 10’. This time we get our lovely Toshiko Sato back. So this have to play before the end of season 2. I would say it plays before the episode they met the real Captain Jack Harkness. Because she tells them that she hadn’t seen her family in years, but in this episode she gets ready to go to the birthday of her father. So when this isn’t a mistake, than Torchwood makes sure that she will see her family again.

First Solo Mission

The radio signal that Tosh is investigating says ‘Toshiko Sato the truth is in Zone 10’. This signal is over 40 years old. So long before Tosh was born. But she feels like it is for her and when you look at what the signal means, she is right. So she travels alone to russia to find the truth. The Story is simple and not really surprising. Of course everything has in the end to do with the Comitee.

I love Tosh and i want more adventures with her but this adventure is not feeling so familiar as the other storys. When you her the others you are feeling like your characters you love back. But with Tosh there is something missing. I don’t know what is. Maybe because she is not so good at the radio thing like the others. Or it is just to long i saw Tosh in action. The last time i watched Torchwood is a few years ago…maybe that is the reason. The only thing i know is that something is missing. But i hope that Tosh is coming back for other adventures and that this feeling will be gone than.

Torchwood: Made you look

Hey Guys,

i totally tried to listen to this Big Finish Torchwood Adventure – Made you look – way before but i always fall asleep when i started listing. It is not really bad. I am just really tired after the vacation and working again is tiring me out too. But it doesn’t help that this adventures is again with Gwen. I really dislike her. I love everyone in Torchwood just not her and everytime i rewatch Torchwood i dislike her more. So this story is like i told you already about Gwen and it plays in the present after the last adventure with her ‘More than this‘.

The long ride

The story is actually really good. Like every story of Torchwood from Big Finish it has a catch and it is really amazing. The Story works with so like stuff and it is soooo little happening but it is far from boring. It is like a long journey. The only problem with that is that it is Gwen. So everyone who loves Gwen will love the story even more. For me it just works because i don’t really care about her. So with every other character the story be more interessting for me. But like i said the story is good. It is nothing fancy, but just that makes it so good.

The problem with that is again that i can’t tell much about. Because everything i tell you will take something from the story. But just that you got an idea. Gwen found a video where a girl is telling that this one town is dying and Gwen is go there to check things out from there everything turns out bad like always.

So just buy it and listen to it! It is good and it makes me really want a season three. But as far i know there is nothing about that there will be one?! Please!! We need a third season. But what we will definitly will have is a Torchwood special with Gwen, Jack and Ianto. Also in the cast is listed Rhys and Andy. Listen to the trailer: here.
