DW: Renaissance of the Daleks

Hey Guys,

welcome to the 93th big finish main range adventure – Renaissance of the Daleks. This adventure is with the fifth Doctor and Nyssa. They are not alone on this adventure. They have four new companions in the TARDIS everyone out of a different time. Mulberry is a knight of templar and met Nyssa in 1320. Nyssa and Mulberry are landing in Petersburg 1864 at the time of the american civil war and met Floyd. 1967 they save major alice hunniford and take her with them. The Doctor is traveling with Wilton how seems to be out of a parallel universe. 2158 a year after the Dalek invate the earth but it didn’t happen.

Big group

This is really good. So many characters in the TARDIS. They are all very different even when they all are soldiers in a way. There is so much potential in the conactions between all this characters. This is the best part of the story. All that stuff about the different times and characters. It is fun to hear them try to work together and find out what happend. There is way more potential between them than just this adventure. But sadly they will not travel together longer.

Same old

Okay, i know that every Daleks story is in away the same old story over and over again. But this one of the story i didn’t like very much. The story is in away very boring. I like the characters but everything else seems so act on the survice. So many things doesn’t make much sense to me. Also i am i not a fan of humind Daleks. So the story is not getting me.

I am really sorry for the short articles. I will give my best to change that again.

Torchwood: Made you look

Hey Guys,

i totally tried to listen to this Big Finish Torchwood Adventure – Made you look – way before but i always fall asleep when i started listing. It is not really bad. I am just really tired after the vacation and working again is tiring me out too. But it doesn’t help that this adventures is again with Gwen. I really dislike her. I love everyone in Torchwood just not her and everytime i rewatch Torchwood i dislike her more. So this story is like i told you already about Gwen and it plays in the present after the last adventure with her ‘More than this‘.

The long ride

The story is actually really good. Like every story of Torchwood from Big Finish it has a catch and it is really amazing. The Story works with so like stuff and it is soooo little happening but it is far from boring. It is like a long journey. The only problem with that is that it is Gwen. So everyone who loves Gwen will love the story even more. For me it just works because i don’t really care about her. So with every other character the story be more interessting for me. But like i said the story is good. It is nothing fancy, but just that makes it so good.

The problem with that is again that i can’t tell much about. Because everything i tell you will take something from the story. But just that you got an idea. Gwen found a video where a girl is telling that this one town is dying and Gwen is go there to check things out from there everything turns out bad like always.

So just buy it and listen to it! It is good and it makes me really want a season three. But as far i know there is nothing about that there will be one?! Please!! We need a third season. But what we will definitly will have is a Torchwood special with Gwen, Jack and Ianto. Also in the cast is listed Rhys and Andy. Listen to the trailer: here.

Stranger Things: Season 1

Hey Guys,

so i watched season 1 of ‘Stranger Things’ and i expected something great. I heart a lot about the serie like ‘best serie ever’, ‘the best in a long time’ and so on. Everyone how watched the serie was so excited about it and i don’t understand it. I don’t want to say that i don’t like the serie, i did in a way… and i will definitily watch season 2 when it will come. So let’s talk a little more about the serie. I try to tell not many spoilers. So you just get an insight in the serie.

Every good story…

What happends in the serie? We have a group of kids – four boys, who are outsider in school and became friends – one day one of the boy vanished. Also in an military facility goes something wrong. You need not to be a genius to know that everything is conacted. When the boy vanished a girl appears. Basically everyone tries to find the boy and the military tries to hush up everything. So everything very typically. In a way we have four main groups. Before i tell more about the groups i want to talk about the atmosphere. The whole serie is a little colorless. It is not blackwhite are something but it is a little grey everywhere. Also the serie is working with flashbacks. They are not many but still enough to be significant for the serie.

Group One: The kids

The three boys want of course search for their friend and found the little girl. They hide her and got involved deeper than they should. Like i said in the beginning the boys are outsider and the girl is a little special and not very talkative.The boys have to explain alot to her like what friends mean and things like that. What brings us a few really cute scenes between the kids. A lot of the scenes between them is about their friendship and how they deal with what happend to them. One thing that is like ever other serie just two kids seems to have parents. The parents of the other two were never seen and doesn’t seem very interessted in them and worried that them sneak out in the night or skip school…
The little girl is played by an amazing actress. Millie Bobby Brown does an amazing job. My mother doesn’t really like the serie but she is thinking that she did an awesome job.

Group Two: The Siblings

Two of the boys have older siblings. The one that hide the girl at home has a big sister, which best friend vanished too, and the boy that vanished had an older brother. Both are trying to find them their own way and at some point the decided to help each other out. They are the most ‘aggressive’ group. They are like ‘we want that shit be done’.

Group Three: Mother and the sheriff

They don’t go and make shit done. We have the mother of the boy that vanished, who tried to find him. She is a little crazy and unstable and truth be told she got on my nerves… she is a really bad mother, who tried really hard to be a good one. But the scenes with her really make want to scream. The Sheriff seems at first like the normal drunken sheriff ready with the shitty world but the moment he understand that the boy is really vanished and not just with his dad. He is working to find him really hard. He is actually a really good cop and sees the little things.
Winona Ryder (the mother of the missing boy) is making me want to scream (so totally also an amazing actoress at work), but i really enjoy David Harbour scenes who played the Sheriff. He is a person i just have to like and it doesn’t change the whole season. The feeling just grows more and more.

But the best person was totally Benny! You will totally understand me! Benny is just an amazing good person and i wish in our world would be so much more Benny Hammonds.

Watch it or not?

It is a dark serie with so much cute scenes and dealing with feelings, memories and of course a mystery. It doesn’t happen much surprising or really exciting things, but you just want to know what will happen to the kids – most of all the girl. But all the boys are really sweet and in away you just have to watch it until the end. So watch it or not?
If you like serie that are really good from story and character but don’t are really surprising and new than watch the serie. It is good. I will totally watch season two.

Scream: Season 2

Hey Guys,

you know sometimes i write about the whole season after watching them but with Scream i can’t do it, because it would be so full of spoilers and i totally forgot already the most of it. But i want to tell a few of my thoughts. Soooo Spoilers… i will be talking about the killer.

After the final i had to watch a special episode again to make for that the killer could have worked alone. I played before the final with the thought that their were to killers at work. I know many people thought that the old accomplice got a new accomplice. But i thought that maybe their would be two totally different killers that had nothing to do with each other. Sad thing is i can’t tell you why i thought that. Also i had to watch the whole season again to actually find evidence of that. But yeah… now i think that i wasn’t so wrong about it.

Now to the killer. Truth be told for me it couldn’t just be three person but like i told before all three were why to obviouse. Everything pointed to Eli. So it was way to obvious. It was clear that he was a creepy guy that got framed – creppy runs in the family.
I like that the killer is someone that played from the first season but really Kieran? It was so obvious… the whole season made it so clear that Kieran is the one everything points too. Even that Eli is the one everything points to is pointing to Kieran…
But i already said that in season one. Kieran is totally creepy and i totally thought he was capable of killing them all. Truth be told after his father got killed i thought that he wasn’t it.

This was kinda disapointing. I don’t know. I hoped for something surprising not something you see coming from miles. How Noah said they not saw though coming… yeah because you turned a blind eye… it wasn’t surprising… just a little boring.
But i am happy that Brooke, Noah and Audrey survived again… but the chances are getting worse every season… I just want to protect these three babies!
And i totally against Gustavo and Brooke! Brooke don’t you see what is right in front of you? Audrey! In the first season we had that one scene were Mr Brandon tried to got into Brookes home and he told he hasn’t the one and she doesn’t let him in. We got almost the same scene with Gustavo in this season. He stayed before the doors and want in but Noah told her no and she decided that maybe… just maybe Noah could be right and he could be the killer.
But when she saw everything Emma and Audrey did… when she saw the video of them. She doesn’t believe any of it. Her father died and Audrey and Emma got arrest with the bloody murder weapon in their hands, she doesn’t for one second believe that this two had killed him. She believed them.
After all the lies Audrey told, after everything she did (to Jake) Brooke choose to believe her. That she believes Emma because she know her so long okay. But the friendship with Audrey is new. They developed this in season one. Yeah…okay. I just want Brooke and Audrey end up together. PLEASE!!!
I ship many people but mostly guys with each other, but these two are way to pressious with each other. I love to see their relationship develope further and deepen. So please get Audrey and Brooke together.

DW: Nocturne

Hey Guys,

welcome to the 92 big finish main range adventure ‘Nocturne. It plays around 2800 (by AHistory – the TARDIS.wiki is saying 2797) on the planet Nocturne. The Seventh Doctor is visiting this periode of time alot and in different incarnations. This time he brings Hex and Ace.

Implications

In my head i think about which adventures Tegan or Mel had on that planet. With which others the Doctor visited his friends. Sadly i don’t know about big finish having other adventures their. I would love to have a few short stories about this meetings. It is like there are not always big problems, just the Doctor visiting his old friends and is quiet lovely to think about it. That he is no capiable of it. Not like the third Doctor.

Trip to Venice

I really want to know what the trips was like. Hex is telling a few time that it becomes more and more like his trip to Venice. This is actually one of the best thing of this adventure. The close way Hex, Ace and the Doctor act to each other. How they talk about their past and tease each other. Also this epsiode is giving Ace someone to bond with and i really beginn to love her. How easy she is opening her heart to this people and how vulnerable.
The adventure was just like a schooltrip to Venice.

Just what it is

The story feels warm and confortable. It is inviting us to a nice trip with friends and you can feel it. The danger don’t have many schockeffects or action. It is just happening. The atmosphere became darker and sadder the longer the story goes. But it never lost the familiar feeling. The Music that have a big role in the story is just underpin this story. The Music is beautiful and kinda sad. It remembers me why i love sometime classic music on the piano. They are caring so much feelings.
So the normal story about someone or something is killing people is becoming something special and make it to one of my favorite stories.

DW: The War Doctor – Infernal Devices: Legion of the Lost

Hey Guys,

here i am a little late but better than never with the second Box of ‘The War Doctor’ and the first adventure ‘Legion of the Lost’. It plays after Box One and he is like always travling alone. Of course it doesn’t stay that way. This adventure he meets Collis. She is on a mission and is the last one alive.

Time Lords are better hands?

Collis and her team had the mission to get a weapon that is really dangerous. It earses people and things completely from existince. Of course the time lords want them but the Doctor doesn’t want it in the hands of the time lords. He is out to destroying it and Collis is dying.
This is were the story really begins. Because the time lords work on a new war advantage. They bring the warriors back from the death so they can die again in the war.

Cost of a war

Is it alright to win a war at all cost? How far can we go? Does we have a right to do everything? This is what are not just the questions in this story. This are the questions in the whole story of the war doctor. It is about war crimes, about sacrifices and moral. Even this Doctor has morals. He isn’t one to allow such things. He believes that their is a differnt cost to bringing someone back to live.
Of course he is right.

Torchwood: Broken

Hey Guys,

Big Finish showed me again why i love them so much the newest Torchwood adventure Broken is what i waited for. The first season of Torchwood is leaving so much holes. Sometimes you ask yourself what happend between the episodes. Their is a book ‘The Torchwood Archieve’ that gives us a little more background information about what happend between but it was never enough. But here we get everything that happend between Jack and Ianto.

Jumps

Normally i am not a fan of time jumps. I think it destroys the flow. But here i really like it. It starts after the episode with Lisa – ‘The Cyberwoman'(Episode S01x04). It plays after my favorite episode ‘Countryside’ (S01x06). Most of the story plays after ‘Greeks Bearing Gift’ and before ‘They keep killing Suzie’.
It shows us how Ianto is trying to deal with Lisas death and come to terms with working with Jack and actually start sleeping with him. We got so much more inside of Ianto Jones and that is always good. Because Ianto is so precious.

New friendships

Ianto find himself in a bar and talking to a bar maid – Mandy. She becomes someone he goes for advice. We see him deal poorly with what happend. He founds himself in a really dark place. We not see often that dark side of Ianto Jones. I actually don’t want to tell more. That just they are investigating missing people and it is just awesome.
Just get the adventure and hear for yourself. This is an amazing story about our broken Ianto Jones and how he get ready to fall in love with Jack. This is were they really start.

Ianto Jones and Jack Harkness forever. I always gonna miss them. I always gonna miss Ianto Jones. He saved Jack in very special way and his death has utterly broken him. I will always find tears for them.

The Tenth Doctor Adventures: Death and the Queen

Hey Guys,

here we go with my favorite adventure in this Volume of the Tenth Doctor Adventures – Death and the Queen. Of course it is again the tenth Doctor and Donna Noble and plays in Goritania. It is not clear in what time it plays.

Donna and the man

Donna is such a strong character but she always tried to define herself above a man. So he got often used by them. Like Lance did in the christmas special. Here Donna is meeting a prince that fall in love with her and want to marry her.
All Donna always wished for. But the life is not what she wants. She has armee, glamour and will be a queen. But everything is just to much for her. A fairytale that for Donna is more than a nightmare but she never let any of that show to the Doctor.

Goodbyes

So Donna is struggling with her fairytale life and the Doctor with getting to get left again. First Rose and than Martha. Donna was the one he believed would stay with him. Because he didn’t fall in love with her and she didn’t fall for him. They are just best friends traveling together. So the Doctor hoped that she would stay. This Doctor is such an emotional person that can’t deal with loneliness.

Why i love them

Both are dealing with their typical problems in such a way that is so them. But the best thing is the way the Donna always saves the Doctor and everyone around her. She doesn’t believe in herself. She needs to define herself above man but in the end she is stronger than everyone. She is ready to protect her kingdom at all cost. Not much persons care so much for people and are ready to sacrifice so much for people she just shortly know.
For a person that define herself about man, she isn’t getting any shit for them. She does what he things is right and is always showing them into their border. She can fight that war on her own and would win.

Hopefully we will get a Volume 2 of The Tenth Doctor Adventures.

DW: Circuliar Time

Hey Guys,

here we go with the 91th big finish main range adventure ‘Circular Time’ with the fifths Doctor and Nyssa. The story consists out four shot stories named after the seasons. The story very different and i like the last two much more than the first. This four stories plays to differnt times. But the last story plays in the same time like the last story of the fifths Doctor.

Spring

The Story is about a meeting with another time lord. A time lord that left his planet to see the world. He stays on a planet with birdlike people and become something like their god. In this culture see things different. When someone did something bad, the one that got the punishment is the one closed to the one who did it.
Nyssa is offend by this. Also she is really shocked that the Doctor was exciled.
This story is about how a time lord is take his place as a good and trick the Doctor.

Summer

This is totally differnet story it plays one earth the Doctor and Nyssa got arrested because they wanted to pay with the wrong currency. Because he got to met Issac Newton. Someone that stoped being a alchemist. He is a difficult person. Which overthings everything and also got just out of the currency that they are time travlers and from earth. He looks at all the details and set them to new picture.

Autumn

This is really quieted story. It is about Nyssa and the Doctor making a pause. The Doctor plays cricket and Nyssa is writting a novel about herself, about Traken. Nyssa is meeting a man who is interessted in her and is going out with her. They talk about her writting and he is interessted in her. Also is she telling him the truth about her home planet but he don’t really believe her. It is lovely to see this side of Nyssa.

Winter

The last story plays in Nyssa future. It is after Terminus. She has know a husband and little baby. She found her luck and it is nice. But than she beginn to dream about the past and something gave her a special feeling so she use the dream maschine of her husband to find out what it is. The Doctor lived in a farm house and has children and a wife. He doesn’t really remember her.

DW: Year of the pig

Hey Guys,

welcome to the 90th big finish main range adventure ‘Year of the pig with the sixth Doctor and Peri. The Story plays in the year 1913. It is a very special episode. It will never be my favorite. But it has something i can hardly explain.

Tobe and the inspector

Tobe is a pig that is always eating and his nurse is watching the other guests of the hotel and describe it to him. He is not just a pig, he is a famous pig and has a few very special fans. One we meet is an lady that infollwing Peri and the Doctor in everything.
The inspector is a very special person. He is really not sympathic. The Doctor and Peri saves him from drowning. So he searches the contact to these two. But he is hiding something.

The problem with this story is that it is so special that i am afraid that i write the wrong thing and everyone knows what is the solution to this abstruse story. About pigs, experiments, time travel, emenies and friends. I always have the feeling that i over heard something. How the go to place to place. For me it is a pile of chaos that does shows everything.
