DW: The Haunting of Thomas Brewster

Hey Guys,

welcome to the 107th Big Finish Main Range Adventure ‘The Haunting of Thomas Brewster’ with the fifth Doctor and Nyssa. The story kinda follows this person Thomas Brewster through his life. It starts in the year 1851 at funeral of his mother. From that point on the Doctor and Nyssa appears in the background of his life.

Hey I am Thomas Brewster

The first episode of this story is told from perspective of Thomas Brewster and who he see the Doctor and Nyssa being there at different occasions. Thomas story is about the loss of his mother. He don’t remember much of her but he thinks that she calls out to him and that he need and can save her. The loss as formed his whole life. He never had someone who looks out for him or tries to help him. He got himself friend but nobody that takes care of him, like a mother or parents would do. So the only thing he has is this voice that calls for him.

A mess

I can’t find this story hard to follow. Thomas Brewster is not hard to understand but still he didn’t really got me. For me it all seems like a big mess of paradox stuff and I not sure if this makes any sense to me in the end. So this is for me a really weak story. I like the idea, but I don’t really get into the story. So that is that. But I still like to see where Thomas Brewster story play out.

With the end of this story there is a lot of possibilities what could happen and there is a lot of potential for the next stories and I curious were it will end. I know that will get little mini episodes about different companions that are bound by Thomas Brewster so we will see were this story ends. I just hope it isn’t working with so much paradox stuff like it feels in this story.
