Psych: Season 7

Hey Guys,
the seventh season of Psych is in my collection and it starts more serious than usual. Because the last season ended with an old friend who shot at Shawns father. Of course the handle it with the usal humor. Shawn handles everything with more aggressivty than usal. He can’t let it go. But here we see a problem with the relationship between Jules and Shawn. He can’t talk about it with her. She is worrying and he is lying.

Jules and Shawn

This season is about the relationship of Jules and Shawn. Shawn is ready to make another step in this relationship and is moving in with Jules. This is important. But the problems i was talking about are still there. Shawn is never really good with the truth. He finds storys and things… Jules had so many people she trusted and couldn’t really trust. This thing is a big thing. When she found out that Shawn isn’t a deviner. She is hurt and angry. Shawns world is breaking down. He lost her, because he couldn’t just be a cop. Because he is who he is.

Trust

This is a big thing in Jules and Shawns relationship. I think they handled the break up pretty well. You don’t think that it is stupid or overplayed. You feel with them. You understand Shawn and you understand Jules and it is sad that you see them breaking apart. Also the getting back together is not to fast and also too slow. They encounter in more episodes the theme trust and what it means to them.
So through this break up the best episode his the first after the break. Where we see two ways of how the story could go and how Shawn is broken by it.

Last Episode

The last episode of the season hadn’t the feeling of being the last episode. It was a case like always. It was nothing special. But it make things a little difficult for the next season. Chief Vic is suspend and the guy who did it, will take her place. Also he don’t like them very much and tells Shawn that he will not employ deviner and that Lassy is not longer the leading detectiv. Also McNate gets fired.

Musical- Episode

The Musical Episode is fun. But i don’t like that it is put there at the end. Because for the story it had to be before the season or at least in the season before Marley is out and Shawn and Jules break up. This is maybe a little petty but for me it disturb the flow of the season.

So nothing left to tell and i will just wait for season 8 (sadly the final season).
