i actually get to read the 8th adventure of the New adventure serie – The Feast of the Drowned – with the tenth Doctor and Rose. It place in the present (2007) when Rose is visiting her mum again. For Mickey and Jacky this is taking place after The Stone Rose (NAS#7) which also after the christmas special- The Christmas Invasion and place before School reunion.
There is always another explaination
Is there something like ghost? The brother of on old friend of Rose died. He was working on a ship that sunk and he and all the other crew members drowned with it. After three month the parts of the ship got transfered to London and this is when the ghosts start apearing. But even when they found the ship, they didn’t found anything of the crew. Of course the Doctor and Rose with the help of Mickey start investigating.
The little things
What i really like about this story are the little things. Like the mentioned the time Rose was away. Her friends that believed the first and how everyone gave Mickey the fault for her absence. I think that Rose never really thought about what her friends or Mickey had been through. She just always forget about this time, because it is just the best thing in her life. She lost kinda contact to her life when she starts traveling with the Doctor.
Reading or nor
The story is solid but not superb. I read better and way worth. What makes the story so good is Rose life. This story shows us what Rose did to the people around her and how she forget about it. We see a Rose that we would say should grow up but on the other hand we see a grown up Rose. A Rose that would sacrifice herself to save people. A Rose that will never give up. We see what the travels did to the persons near to her but we also see what the travels did to her and that is why the story is a yes to reading this book.
welcome to the very first adventure of big finish – Sirens of time. It is not just the first adventure of the main range, it is the first episode they produced. This is the start of amazing stories. They start with three Doctors in one adventure. We have the fifth, sixth and seventh Doctor.
Always the time lords
They time lord see themself facing a enemy that is uncredible strong. It seems like they are totally powerless against this enemy. But they find out that the Doctor is involved and send warnings to him or are they are trying to kill him? Both is possible and believeble. The three Doctors faces all their own adventures.
Seventh Doctor
The seventh Doctor seems to be travling alone. The story of the Seventh Doctor is playing in the year 3562 on a not existing planet. The Doctor saves a girl – Elenya. Everything doesn’t seems quite logic at the beginning. On this planet is also living a man and woman. The woman needs to take care of the man. But she is not satisfied with this work and tries to make a deal. A deal were everyone will die.
Fifth Doctor
The fifth Doctor is traveling with Tegan and Turlough but they don’t have a big role. This adventure takes place in 1915 on a submarine. He gets closed of of his TARDIS and met a girl – Helen. The submarine got attackt and the a german submarine is saving them. It seems like someone is trying to take controll of the crew members and try to kill the Doctor who seems to thing the time lords are behind it.
Sixth Doctor
This story of the sixth Doctor is playing in the year 3562 on a spaceship. There is a conferance at that spaceship. His TARDIS get caught in an explosion and he strands on the spaceship. There he mets a girl which get him in the conferance room. A time distortion gets everyone in trouble.
Listen or not
The story is really not my thing. It all ends of course in a big story but the story are to short for my liking. But this is totally a listen to it story because the three Doctors are working together and that is the best. This three Doctors are not my favorites. I mean i love these three but my favorite Doctors are the tenth, first and second but these three together have just the best chemistry with each other. It is so much fun listen too them. This story also made very clear that the Doctor is the same in all incarnations but also shows us all the differents between them and they are very different. It is really lovely to listen to so well writen Doctors.
I started my rewatch of Doctor Who and of course i start at the beginning with ‘An earthly child’. Just the first minutes were enough to remember why i don’t like Susan and love Ian and Barbara. Truth be told the first episode was kinda boring. Of course it is iconic and i love it but the first thing that i had problems with was the tempo of the stories. This is the reason why i say the first episode of boring. When we watch new series there happens so much in the first episode. Here just happend nothing. It is not a bad thing. I needed a few stories but i begann to love it. The story has enough time to evelope and the characters has so much time to shine.
The characters
They are so many things why i fall in love with the classic stories and almost everthing is already in the first epiosde. First of all the characters. I love a full TARDIS. So many people. I am not a big fan of Susan. She is the granddaugther of the Doctor and is almost everytime screaming…
Ian and Barbara are teachers. I love them so much. They stand on their own feets and have their own opinions. They stand up to the Doctor and don’t take any of his shit.
The second think is the Doctor. He is not nice or a hero. When the serie started he is the opposite. He is grumpy and just want help himself. Everything the new Doctor is started here with Ian and Barbara that teached him this.
They said that the Doctor always has the same character traits but that is not complitely true. He become that man because he captured and took Ian and Barbara away with him. He wanted to protect himself and got family. But it is a really hard and long way. Especially Ian and the Doctor are always fighting with each other. But they change each other. But this is a little forward for this story. With the knowledge what is to come and everything else you can see all that stuff already in this first adventure.
Watching or not
The story is not the best. It started with a story of cavemen that search for a way to make fire. It gets harder to find something to eat and who can make fire is the leader. The tribe our friends met or get captured by has took in a outsider who wants to become the leader too. So the son of the old leader are fighting for this place. The story is developing slow and most of the time our friends get theirself captured again and again. The story has a few strong points when you get to see more inside of our characters but apart form this the story doesn’t have much to offer. Just look it and enjoy that the Doctor is so totally differnt form the NewWho.
That is also the reason i will every Fan of NewWho tell that they should go and watch the classics. Because this is the journay that made the Doctor the person he is now. It was a developement. Everything that happend to the Doctor is changing him. Every companion has their influence on him. But Barbara and Ian are the most important. They teach him to care about other, they teach him to help. This developement is so amazing to see. So go and watch the classic who stories.
After the first season wasn’t my thing, i still watched season two. Season two is totally different than season one. It even got more like 24 with alot more supernatural. For me it lost the little bit of what it had here.
On the run or not
Jake and his father are on the run at least the first episode. Than they met the mother of Amelia and they start working with each other. They live in a house and try to find Amelia and Jake starts getting to school. It seems like totally normal life. The helping other people get lost in the background. It is more like find evidence against them and find Amelia.
Also the numbers get to much in the background for my liking. They are still there but more like a reminder or like oh yeah i need to open a door… what numbers showed Jake to me be crashing the microwave…
Big conspiracy
It seems like everyone is working for someone. There are at least four parties that are at work here. It all goes around the 36 – that are people that are like Jake. The police is also working with them and is no real help. So yeah… they fight against the big conspiracy with to girls and a news agency.
Also it seems like once the 36 made contact with each other the can talk with each other telepathic. The numbers will protect… I don’t know i like that concept.
I liked that he just sees everything in numbers and sees how they are connected. I miss the handy that has so many different videos on it from all over the world.
Watch or not
It is totally a don’t watch from me and i am really happy that Jake didn’t had time to tell us more… No third season and this is a good thing. But this is just my personal opinion. If someone watched the serie and has another opinion i would be happy to hear it maybe you can open my eyes and let me see a aspect of the serie i didn’t saw.
here comes the 100th adventure of the big finish main range with the name ‘100’. This adventure has four sperate episodes. With the sixth doctor and Evelyn Smythe. The stories might be short but really amazing itself.
100BC
I can’t say much about the stories. They are short and don’t want to spoil them to you. The first story is about the two visiting Rome and the parents of Julius Caesar 9 month before he should be born. The story tells as alot of character of Evelyn and i really like the story.
My own private Wolfgang
This story is about Wolfgang Mozart. How seems to lived little bit longer than he should. So what behind that mystery. The story is not mine but it is not bad. It is about life and if could be that genius be a genius forever or does the forever take the genius away?
Bedtime Story
Someone is telling his child a bedstory about the Doctor. He is telling about his meeting with the Doctor. These someone is a father and when he get child his grandparents would die. It always been like that and nobody is question it. Of course the Doctor is questioning it.
This is my favorite story of this volume.
100 days of the Doctor
The Doctor crossed a species and they are taking revenge. He got infected with a virus that will shut his body down in 100 days. They travels in his own past to find out when he got infected.

i know that now here should be an article about Beijing and the Lamma Temple, but since they anounced that the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff is closing in summer 2017, I thought that my article about it should be now before it is too late. Last year in november i visited London and also made a stop in Cardiff. I visited Cardiff before and i fall in love with that little town. It is beautiful and has an old charm. Truth be told it is really really small. I has big city kid would not stay longer than three days. I can just recommaned to visited the castle and the national museum and of course as a Torchwood fan the bay.
My Way
This time I wasn’t there to see any of this or the shopping. What totally doesn’t mean that i didn’t any other stuff like shopping and visiting what the bay has to offer for us Torchwood fans – but later to that. The reason i visited Cardiff that time was the Doctor Who Experience. I am sure you can take a train or bus to get form Cardiff central to the bay. But since i know a little of Cardiff i decided to walk. It is not far from the central station. I didn’t at the clock but i think i need 15 minutes. When you start seeing the Millenium Center than you are in the right place. As a Torchwood fan you should stop here for a moment and make picutre of the water tower or search for the spot nobody can see you. I don’t think i found the right place because it seems that every could see me.
When you follow the pier (not in the direction of the Cardiff Quay) you can already see the TARDIS before the building, which is were i wanted to go. cardiff watertower
Some infos before we start
When I was there the normal entrence cost £16.20. I of course bought the Merchandise Packages for £37.50 when you buy it on the internet you can save £5. The set you will get at the end of the tour. You got your ticket were it stands that you have the Merchandise Packages. When got through the experience you land in a shop and there you show your ticket on the cash register and they will bring you the packages. So now the important part. What is in that Merchandise Packages:
In this set is a bag with the size of DinA4, Official Companion Guide (something I would have bought anyway as a memory like a programme of musicals), a certification (which has gold ornaments on it. It is really lovely to look at.), a souvenior ticket, wrist band (which is in my opinion unnecessary), a T-shirt, and the best thing the key to the TARDIS which is in jewellery box. It is not so much money for what you get. One thing with the T-shirt is important is a man shirt man just to take the right size.

Let’s start
The most important thing is that is not a museum. Like the name says it is an experience. Which means that you will be part of the show, the story that is told. The groups are not small. You go in with them. I don’t know if story change but when i was there we were visiting the Gallefry Museum after the time of the time lords. It is not just fun for fans of the NewWho. The Classic fans will have their moments too. It starts with Romana as Lady President tells as about the time lord, the war and of course of the Doctor. After that the story really starts. You and your companions have to help the Doctor to save the universe with the lovely Peter Capaldi as the Doctor.
The scenario is created with love and details, so you can feel the work that is in it. They work alot with light effects. I just can recommaned this to everyone. Go and experience this as long as you can. Because it is made with so much love and it is Doctor Who.
Exhibition
After the show you come into the exhibition. The Exhibition is not really big. First you have the TARDIS controls, which are really lovely. You will find a few sceneries and above all that you find monsters and outfits of all doctors (also war doctor) and many other outfits from the NewWho serie. The most things are from Clara. For me this part of not so interesting. I am more into the classics. But you can make as many pictures as you want and you can make really good ones.
Also there is a green screen were you can let them take picture from you and choose the background – like the consule room of the first doctor. The first photo cost £10 and every next picture £5. You also can let them send the data of the picture as an email.
After that you go into the shop. Where you can buy alot of Doctor Who stuff and get you Merchandise package. Cardiff who3
When you are at the bay
When are already on the bay, you should totally go and visit the Ianto Shrine. It is at the pier down by the water. It is amazing to see how much Ianto Jones is still loved. It always change. I really like the place. So go and visit the lovely town Cardiff before summer 2017.
i am a big fan of Detektiv Conan or in english i think it is called Closed Case. I fall in love with it at the first episode and started to read the Manga. Now i have 88 volumes of the Manga standing in my cupboard and 19th movies – okay to are still missing because i wanted to have the special edition. But i think you can totally see that i love Conan. I don’t get tired of it like many of my friends. I love it still the same – when not even more – when i first watched it. For me didn’t lost any of his magic. A few characters – especially Ran – are problematic in a way that she is a really sweet girl and you would totally like her if this story wouldn’t play with out time. Her is getting on your nerves with Conan and Shinichi and she never get’s it. That is one problem of the lenght of it but everything else i love. The most of course Heiji and Kaito Kid (a pair i ship instat of Shinichi and Kaito). I started even watching Kaitos own Anime Kaito Kid/Magic Kaito. The movies are always nice to watch and like you all can think now the ones with Kaito Kid are my favorites.
Still nice but doesn’t satisfy
Normaly the only point at the Conan movies i don’t really like (but just because i can’t japanese) are the quiz of the Professor. They are always word quiz that only function in japanese. But this movie is a little disapointing. I have high standards and the Conan Movies got better from Movie to Movie. Sadly this was a step back. The story is quite nice. It is about the sunflowers of Van Gogh (here can learn something xP).
Than Kaito Kid seems to want to steal the sunflowers that Sonokos grandfather bought or not?
Because is not stealing them. He is just making a big show out of it. That everyone would think that he is just promoting Sonokos grandfather.
But until than everything is fine. Kid got a show and we love him for it and when he came on board as Shinchi we all know that this will be fun. Than the let down starts.
Spoilers – Conans failure
Kaito Kid is a kind of a person that is acting like he has a code. He is only stealing juwels and he is always giving them back (without money). Everyone who nows him apart from Detektiv Conan/Closed Case, knows that he is only stealing us Kaito Kid because he search for a special juwel, which was the reason for death of is father. He wants to find them. This is his motivation. Of course he also has fun with it but this stands behind it. Kaito Kid is also someone who will try to save everyone he can and Conan totally know that. He made Kid at so many occasions. Kaito Kid saved Conans life on regular basis. He came to a wizard meeting to stop a murder. This kind of guy is Kid and Conan knows that.
So why his he not knowing that something totally different is going on? Kaito Kid stealing a picture? Kaito Kid should be responisble for an exploision a plane? That is stupid and Conan should know that. Conan should also know that Kid would not want money. He should know that something different is going on but he doesn’t. He take the whole movie to find out what we knows from the start. Kaito is not stealing the picture, he is protecting them and something totally different is going on there. The whole freaking movie. Kaito is acting as Shinichi. This alone should tell Conan that something is going on.
Also the whole case doesn’t get closed by Conan. No Kaito is telling him everything that is going on. So he is just telling everyone what Kid told him. That is a detektiv… also the last quiz of Kid was quite obvious. With all the hints to the apostels and the picture of the communion from Da Vinci. He should have getting behind the quiz earlier. The only good thing about this is that Kid is seeing at the same and tells Conan that he thought that Conan would come behind the quiz faster.
The movie should wear the name Detektiv Conan/Closed Case it should be called Kaito Kid. Because he did all the work. Closed the case, got the evidence, saved the pictures and saved Ran…and Conan just ran after him without even having a clue what really is going on there.
Watching or not (still with spoilers)
So yeah watch it for Kaito Kid, but still one point left that i dislike. The solution is unsatisfied. The motive of the murderer is quite stupid… i mean really stupid…
Also the way Kaito Kid found out about what is going on is not quite satisfied. But this can also be that the translation wasn’t quite right or not clear enough. But in german it sounds like Kid got an Whats Up acount as Kaito Kid and everybody can call him and give him jobs.
The only thing that would made sense would be if he got the job from his butler and he wanted to steal the pictures for him and when he researched and spoted everything out he found out about the other thing. It is not the best solution, it still doesn’t make totally sense but better than someone leaving him a voice mail…
welcome to the 99th adventure – Son of the Dragon – of big finish main range with the fifth Doctor and his companion Erimem and Peri. They visited 1462 and lands in a war against the son of the dragon. What actually is really exciting because the son of the dragon is the really Dracula. I was always a fan of the Vampires. They real Vampires that can’t live in the daylight, don’t like garlic and drinks blood. The old vampires…without glitter. The cruel Vampire that really existed in our world. A monster who is nothing else than a human. This is not just a story of Dracula but it is also a historical story which i really love.
Quite a mess
The story is quite changing. Our lovely people stumple over a little armee that wants to defeat Dracula. But they get attackt by Dracula and his people. In the chaos of the fight Erimem saves Dracula. When Erimem is living with Dracula. Peri and the Doctor are searching for her and than try to save her. So the first two episode are quite a mass and a chaos for her.
The reason too love Doctor Who – listen or not
What i can totally promise all of you is that all characters have an amazing deep. Dracula is not just the monster the books do. You can understand him. He has his reasons. The good brother is not so much a good guy either. This is a really important thing is to never forget two things. Thing one is that you always have to see the things in their time and second all monster are nothing else than humans. We are the monster. Doctor Who shows this alot of time that everyone of us can become this monster. We should never forget that. This story shows us this. This story is totally a go and listen to it.
here we go again… me and my parents just watching the first thing we found on Netflix – Touch. We had seen episodes of it before. We are not sure if we saw the whole thing or just half. But we started watching when it was first aired in Germany. Actually it is just not my thing. My parents wanted to watch because of Kiefer Sutherland. It was in that phase, when my father bought every Kiefer Sutherland film he saw. The serie is kinda like 24 – Kiefer Sutherland runing around and his kind never does what it should. That are all of the simularise.
Stop joking…
Communication
The story is about a father with a kid that is a challenge. He doesn’t like to be touched and hits around when they do. He doesn’t speak and is mostly writing numbers. The father is overwhelmed with work and is son on his own. This is when the social security office steps in to check if he can care for him or not. The kid – the name is Jake – sees the world different. He sees things in numbers. He sees the bigger picture. He gives his father numbers and he must find out what they mean. It can be anything… a flight number or a time. Sometimes it is just everything at ones. All these people are connected with each other. Things on the other half of the world are effecting the events.
Does this lead?
The first season shows us that everything is somehow conacted and that there are others like Jake (the kid). Someone want these people. But we does get more. Season one is just showing us a little piece of the picture and when you think in the final everything will lead now together, it doesn’t. You don’t get any answers or no what it is that actually is going on. This is not totally a bad thing. It make you look the next season just to see if the second season will give us answers. But the whole episodes are not very emotional for me. They don’t get me. Destiny is not enough to make me interessted.
Look or not
It is really hard decision. The serie is not bad. It is okay to watch, but either the story nor the characters capture me in any way. There is no character that i love. They just all their. Some stories are sweet but they don’t break my heart or make me feel warm. I just watch it and than it is over and you just can stop watching without the feeling of missing something.
So if you don’t have anything else to watch, than watch this but if you have another serie you may stay with that serie. I won’t rewatch this serie… so this is for me a not watching.
here we go with the 98th adventure of big finish main range – Frozen Time. It plays in 2012 in Antartica with the sixth Doctor again totally and uterlly alone. Something is frozen in ice and my first thought was Silurian. But the person frozen in ice is the Doctor, but maybe there is more in the ice than just him.
Whats going on
The Doctor seems to have lost his memories in his time frozen. He instinctly knows the names like Mel, Ace and Hex. People that are not longer with him. An Expitition is searching for a expition that got lost in 1929. But what they found was a blue box and a Doctor without his memories and something really bad.
Like always
I really like the crew that found the Doctor. The are many so different people. It is fun to listen to them interact with the Doctor. Sadly i am one of the few people that wished that this time it wouldn’t be the woman that run with Doctor in the show down but with some of the guys. It is always a girl or woman…
Listen or not
The story is really good and even when the Doctor don’t remember gets kinda old. The story function well and the characters are really interessting. So yes go and listen to this story.
