DW: The Daleks – rewatch

Hey Guys,

here we go with the next adventure of my rewatch of Classic Doctor Who – The Daleks. Like the title says the story is about the Daleks. It is so much fun to see the history of the Daleks and the Doctor. This are still the Daleks i learnt to love.
To set the story in a time line seems complicated. There is no date given in the story itself and everyone is setting the story in a different time. My source is setting it around 2250 but it is just a wild guess with all the clues from the other stories.

Everyone for himself

Nobody on the TARDIS is a team right now. Not totally true. Ian and Barbara are a team. They are still focused on getting back home. They are good people and wanting to help but they also forget sometimes everything when the other is danger or wants something or focus to much on getting home. They don’t start to see beauty in this adventures.
The Doctor is just wanting to see everything. He doesn’t care for the safity of them. He wants to see things. He lies to them to get his way.

More about the life in the TARDIS

I love that we see more of the life inside the TARDIS. In this story the Doctor shows us for example how they get something to eat. This is something i miss in the new seasons. Here we see parts of their normal lifes between all the adventures.

The Daleks

This is the first time my favorite Monsters apears. I really love it. They are already the enemy but we got the story how they develope. This wasn’t an evil masterplan or anything. It was just the logic developement to survive.
But what i love the most of it is that there is no evil and dramatic over saving the world. Yes the Daleks want to exterminate the Thals. But the Doctor is not needed there and he doesn’t try to save anyone than himself and Susan. Also he had no problem with the destruction of the Daleks. He is responsible for the death of all Daleks in the city.

Torchwood: Visiting Hours

Hey Guys,

here we go with the new season of Torchwood – Visiting Hours . I was really excited about it because really Rhys William deserves his own adventure. He is amazing and such a great character that definitly deserves the screen time. Truth be told Rhys is one reason i hate Gwen so much and the only reason i can accept her. The way she treated Rhys in the first two seasons was… alone for that. But Rhys loves her and that makes her acceptable.

On his own

Rhys always gets his stuff done. We have seen him deal with alot. When he found out about Torchwood his whole life changed but with all that shit going down, he never stoppt being himself and believe in the world and see the good things.
Look at Owen or Tosh Torchwood made them cynical. Torchwood changes people. Rhys is not looking away. He is always trying his best. Yes i love him. Here he got now is adventure on his own. Sadly i think the could have done more with it. Rhys is alright on is own. Of course he is not totally alone.

What happens

Rhys is spending a night in the hospital with his mother. He runs into something suspicious and is trying to find out what is going on. So he ends with his mother on the run in the floors of the hospital. That is the sad stuff. I really like the Mum stuff. She is just right mix of annoying and totally lovely. The story is not bad also… it is just… it could be more. This story just scratched the survice.

This is actually the first time i listend to a Torchwood adventure and thought that could have been more. So i am really sad that this is a adventure with one of my favorite characters that really didn’ got enough time to shine. He is amazing and i hope we will have alot more adventures with him.

White Collar: Season 1

Hey Guys,

after my parents told me every freaking day how good White Collar is i started to watch it. First of all yes it is not so bad. Neil Caffrey has his charm. But more than him i love the people around him and the relationship with him.

Nothing new, nothing surprising

So yes the story is not new and it is not really surprising. If you know a few series you know how this one works. But truth be told. We are not here to get an amazing complicated story. The story works because Neils charm works. It is fun and light and has a little drama. It is a good mix and of course it has a lot of good characters. Which makes the serie so much fun.

Great characters

The best characters are the suporting characters. We have the two main characters Peter and Neil. Neil has his partner Mozzie and Mozzie is a little special – in a good way. He is totally the one that brings the humor and states the obviouse. Many times he just states what we think. Peter has his wife Elizabeth. She is cool. She knows his husband and is the one that always is making him do the right thing and the best about her she totally know how Neil works. She loves him and his making sure that her husband in the end chooses to trust him or have a little faith in him.
Neil his a really good guy. Yes he is a thief and he will never stop to be one. But he doesn’t want to hurt people and he cares deeply for the people that comes close to him. He starts to care very fast for Peter. The only thing that is really annoying about Neil is Kate. Kate is his big love and when it is about her he doesn’t think straight. She uses him and he just can’t see it.
Peter is a good guy. But he has really big trust issues. He never trust Neil. In the first season he always asumes the worse of Neil even when Neil again and again proves him wrong but he never really trust him. What is not so bad if he not would call him his friend…you should at least have a little trust for a friend.

Watch it or not

From me it get a totally watch it. It is fun and actually it remainds me of Chuck. So if you like Chuck than you are totally right here. It has a few plotholes but Neils charm lets you forgot them. So lets start season two.

DW: The Girl who loved Doctor Who

Hey Guys,

I couldn’t resist and bought me bundle of digital comics of Doctor Who on Humble Bundle and one of the comics were ‘The Girl who loved Doctor Who. This comic is with the 11th Doctor. It is a titan comic by Paul Cornell and drawn by Jimmy Broxton. The Story is 40 pages long and is a story stands alone. It takes place somewhere after the goodbye of Amy and he doesn’t have a new companion yet. So it is somewhere before Clara or when he already met her but not traveled with full time.

Thats how the story goes…

The story is quite easy and actually nice. The Doctor has again problems with his TARDIS and lands in a parrallel universe. This parallel universe is our real world, where the Doctor is just a story, a TV-Show. Everyone is thinking of him as Matt Smith. There is a 10 year old girl, which met him and take him home to show him everything. She is angry with him because she knows the Doctor is not real and want that Matt Smith stops playing. This girl is a full time fan. Because she watched and have every episode of Doctor Who even the classics. Of course there is monster and also the little girl gets bullied by a few boys.

Reading or not

You can read it. The story is sweet and nice. But it is nothing more than that. The story is not really deep. I mean the plot is promising and could have been really deep about facing your problems and things like that, but it isn’t. This story could be alot better when they got deeper into it. Also i have a problem with the drawings. Truth be told i like the Manga drawings and Comic drawings are quite different. But here my biggest problem is that this girl doesn’t look like 10 years… she looks so much older at times and i really dislike it. But that is just my taste.

DW: Season 10

Hey Guys,

this season of Doctor Who started really good. The stories were not bad and Bill is an amazing companion. But than again there is the big storyline and again it is about the Master. Sorry i really loved the Master and i loved Simms Master but this Missy story got on my nerves…
Make the Master good… really why… Simms Master already had his moment of change. It was when he died for the second time. And i was already annoyed that they brought the Master back after that but just to tell the story again?

I actually don’t want to say to much about this season. Because of the reason that i just don’t have much positive things to say and i hate my own negative. Also i already said all that stuff in the last season. Because it is all the same again. But at least he didn’t destroy the cybermen further.
But than again there was an easy way out. I don’t get why he always brings Companions in situation were there is no way out to just find a way to reverse it. There is not always a way out. Sometimes people just die… that is live and you have to deal with that.
I really hope that the next season will be better.
Even when i am sad that we have to deal with a new Doctor, a new companion and a new writer.

Torchwood One – Before the fall: Uprising

Hey Guys,

welcome to the last part of ‘Torchwood One – Before the fall’. This is the story were everything comes together. Yvonne found out what Rachel is after and is making herself ready for the war. I will not write very much about it. Because this is not very different form the two adventures before. We still deal with the same characters. The focus is still on Yvonne and Ianto.

The way of telling the story is still the same of the other two. Yvonne is show how good she is and his doing her dirty work herself to take back Torchwood One.

Ianto one the other hand needs to deside on which side he is. Does he believes in Yvonne and help her or does he choose to stand with Rachel in the final fight?

So yeah the story is great and amazing. I don’t want to spoil you anything so just go and listen to this amazing 3parter.
It made me smile and cry… it has everything a good story needs.

The Originals: Season 4

Hey Guys,

after a really great season 3 of ‘The Originals’ i had really high expectations of this season. Sadly they weren’t fullfilled. It is still pretty good if you love Klaus. So let’s start with the best thing that is part of the biggest problem this season.

Klaus as an amazinig father

I never doubted him any second. Every scene we got with Klaus and Hope is perfect and on point. It is so good to see him with this little girl and all the other scenes with Klaus are amazing. His storyline and developement is great. I love every bit of it. I really love how Hayley and Klaus are making decisions together. I love how it is never a problem that she is in love with Elijah. Klaus accepted it as much as Hope. But there is never any question about who her father is. I really love this dynamic.
But as good this part of the season is it is sadly the only really good thing about it. There is no place for any other storyline except Elijahs.

Elijahs real face

I found many people saying that Elijah become Klaus so Klaus can be a good father for Hope. I totally disagree with it. It was Elijah who started this unhealty protection of his own family. Elijah was Klaus idol. Elijah the big brother who protected the family at all cost. The last season we saw Elijah destroying the life of three vampires so his family would be free. We saw him kill Marcel – Klaus son…
This is not something that Elijah became. This is something Elijah always was. Klaus was just taking this part over and now he starts seeing the wrongs in their ways. But Elijah doesn’t. Elijah is still standing still were everyone else is evolving.

Everyone else…

That is the saddest part of the season. Sadly even get much of Hayley and Hope or nearly enough of Hayleys storyline – were actually this is about her parents…this really needed more time. Than we got all siblings together and i was so happy about it. Just so Rebekah and Kol can run away. Don’t get me started on the Kol storyline. Which is be so dump and unnessassary. I really wish they would give the other siblings more screen time. A real storyline and not just to at pain to Klaus or make the situation more dramatic.

The Finale…-spoilers

I am not ready to talk about this finale… maybe i never will be. It was heartbreaking and made me cry the whole episode. There were amazing scenes between Hayley and Klaus, Klaus und Elijah… Freya and Keelin.
But sadly Rebekah and Kol came little short again. Rebekah got her time to speak her mind about it and got her ending (which i personally hate – she deserves better and i dislike Marcel for the way he treated her).
But Kol… he came and got no time to actually say anything about it. He has no scene with any of his siblings alone (just a little Freya hug – the only person he can actually see again) or a scene with Hope… nothing…
He came and than run a again. Yes we see him happy but we knew this before… i hate how they used Kol in this.

So i am happy and unhappy about a new season. I am happy about a new season because maybe so we will get a happy end for Klaus. Which i totally need.
But on the other hand i am afraid about the way the will use the other Mikaelsons Familymembers and don’t give them the storyline they deserve.
So yeah i will watch the next season but just for Klaus, Hayley and Hope… not that the other will have a real storyline…

Torchwood One – Before the fall: Through the Ruins

Hey Guys,

welcome to the second part of this Torchwood adventure – ‘Torchwood One – Before the Fall’. The first part was out of the sight of Rachel. Now that we actually now that Rachel is not what she seemed and she got Yvonnes job, the second story is mostly about Yvonne and Ianto.

Ianto Jones and his day out

This is why i really love this story. Because we got to see alot about Iantos life. We met is roommate and what he tells him about his life. We see him interact with his friends at Torchwood. Ianto is with his two friends out on ‘field day’ for team training. To see Ianto so full of life and without that darkness in him is everything. I love the Ianto we met in the Torchwood serie. But this Ianto is not broken and it is so good to listen to it.

Yvonne cleans up

The other part of the story is not any less good. I really love Yvonne. The way she handles things. You never know if she is really good or not. She isn’t for killing innocent but she also is ready to do everything. Yvonne is such a great and interessting character. In this story she is the ‘good’ one. She is trying to find out what Rachel is up to and how she can stop her.
Also what i really love is the respect that Yvonne has for Ianto. Since Torchwood is her whole life, she doesn’t have many people in her life. But she has a deep respect and trust for Ianto. This i really love, because it shows how much she cares about people. It shows has another side of her.

Listing or not

The solid story became an amazing story. Because now the focus is on the best characters in Torchwood One. Really this story is everything i hope from this adventure. So yeah this is a definitly need to listing to this amazing story. Ianto and Yvonne are the best.

The Musketeers: Season 3

Hey Guys,

after what felt like years i finally watched season 3 of the musketeers. I love the serie and that doesn’t change in season 3. But it is not as good as i am used to. So i am really happy that this is the end before it got bad. So why does i thing that this is not as good as the two season before. That is really simple. Here comes the first reason – and there will be spoilers for the season.

Mylady is back?

What the season is missing is Lady de Winter. She was a really amazing character. She wasn’t trually good but not totally evil either. The world made her the monster she was in season one and she tried to built herself a different life. I still believe that she and Athos could have made it way better.
But instead of bringing her back we got Sylvi. Sylvi is a really good person. It is not that i have anything against her. I really like her. I just don’t like her with Athos.
Yes she made Athos smile. But everyone is forgetting one thing. Athos had that with Mylady. She was betrayed by the man she loved. Athos is a good person but he hanged her because she killed the person that tried to rape her. I am sorry but i totally believe her. Because she wanted revenge on him, because he betrayed her.
Everyone forget that it was Athos who choose to don’t believe her. She may lied to him about her past…
After that the love for each other destroyed them. Because they love each other to much… the way he reacted when he first saw her in season three is more than clear that he is loving her.
I really hate that they didn’t gave her her happy end. That they make her the killer again.
I wished that they showed us that people can change, that people can come back from dark places…but happy endings are reversed for the ‘good’ people.

He grow up in hell

The second point why i don’t like the season as much as the season before is the big bad. In season one we had the Cardinal. Which was an amazing bad guy that loved France as much as the musketeers. He was bad and dark but had so many other layers. In season two we had Rochefort. That was a good guy and than got tortured for years and became bad and obsessed with the Queen. He was crazy and in the end i really hated him and in the same time i feel sorry for him. He deserved what he got. They were all amazing.
But here… not the kings brother nor the guy that works with him as the potential to be that interessting and deep. They are boring… they don’t get me at all.
But this was the reason i loved the first seasons so much.

Watching or not

This is still a really amazing story. The characters are amazing. I love how Constance become a musketeer and get the shit done. I love the musketeers as a family. How they care for each other. There is nothing that can beat this amazing friendship. One for all.
So yeah watch it. But if you are like me a fan of Mylady be ready for a really hard season without her only to bring her back to show her that he wanted to be with her and now chooses someone else. So she is again totally and utterly alone the monster she doesn’t wanted to be anymore. She deserved a better story in this season.

Dark Matter: S03X01/02

Hey Guys,

welcome back to the new season of Dark Matter. I really missed that show and most of all the Characters. The start of the serie was everything I excepted from it.
Truth betold i don’t watch it for the story – not that the story is soo bad. But there is nothing new, nothing surprising about the serie. I watch Dark Matter for the family – the characters and the way they are growing closer is amazing and fun.

Three is back in action

It was the first time I really missed One. Because Three had such a great scene with an old friend of Six that made me thing of the potential that their relationship had. One and Three would be amazing and somehow i don’t give up hope yet. But who knows. Back to watch what really is happing on the show. Sadly Three hadn’t such a big part yet. But the way they actually care for each other… yeah i am really just here for the family feelings.
I love to see them all together. I also love the way they portät the relationship between Three and Five. This is actually why i love the serie so much. The first two episode are alot about Two and Five. Two is griefing and blaming herself for the loses they have to bear. She is questing her decisions and is out for revenge.
Five has problems with her memories. Six and Three don’t have much place in it. But there are these little scenes between them. They may don’t have big parts rigtht now but they are there and it always shows that they care for each other. These little moments when it is Three that ask if the android had told Five about her condition and is touching her to confort her even she doesn’t is conscious.
It is the way the talk about the android and spaghetti tuesdays. That is why i love the show and it is all there.

Four is dead

Four is continuing on his journey. He is ready to sacrifice a lot of people for his corse. But you see he is struggling to actually deal with his friends. I think he still thinks of them as his family and that will bring him in problems. The others on the other hand are dealing with Four gone forever because of the death of Nyxs.
I am sure the Razza will continue to fight against Four. But Four or Ryo has other problems. Mizaki is doing what she is thinking is right. She is on Ryos side in this war but she is not really on his side. She will go against his comand. Like she killed Nyxs because she thought Nyxs would be a distraction. She is taking matters in her own hands and that makes her really dangerous.
Also Ryo is bringing back his teacher and nobody except Ryo seems happy about it. I am not sure but i don’t believe that the Sensei has anything good in his mind.

The course for the next season is set. So lets enjoy this season.
