Tru Calling: Season 2

Hey Guys,

here we go with the second season of Tru Calling. The second season just has six episodes and no real ending. Sadly the second season took almost everything good out of the serie and than not even gives answers. So yeah i don’t like this season but it is not all bad.

Everything lost

After Lucs death Tru is working even harder to save everyone and Jack obvious is trying to prevent it. And here are we at the point that i dislike the most about the serie – and no it is not the absends of Luc. The season is about the fight between Jack and Tru. Sadly the stories about the victims became so much background that it really annoys me.
Than of course Luc is missing. But he is always part of the talks and stuff. So we never forget that he existed and that he was important to her.
But that brings me to the next part that don’t sit right with me. Lindsay was always part of Trus life. She was amazing and she always was just one call away. Now she got married – hated that part of season one – and is living in London – i think. We not ones see a phone call from her or a postcard – not even to Trus birthday.
I really hate it. Also they don’t talk about her. She is just gone and i really hate this.
But she has new friends now…
Also her big sister never get talked about again… did you forget that she actually had a bigger sister?!

So much hints…

The season is promising answers or at least we hoped she would. We know that her father killed her mother and that he is like Jack. But what is Jack and why does he think that he is the right one? Why does he knows rules? When the fater is still alive why has Jack now his abilities?
The father wanted to built a bond to his son so that he would go against Tru for his father. We never seen anything like it. We didn’t see a bond between them, we didn’t see the bond between Harrison and Tru ripping – nothing…
Is there a real reason behind all that. What price had Jack to pay for the death of Luc because his death was against the rules. Also when Tru saved someone she wasn’t supose to save what consequence would be there? We never see one – except that this guy really creeps me out after his survivel.

Highlights

The reason i still watched the show was Harrison. Harrison is still amazing and totally worth watching for him. Also there is one episode and i wished there were more episodes like this is the third or fourth episode were Jack got asked for help. We see a little more of Jack and what he thinks and feels. For the first time i liked him and felt with him. Jack starts overthinking his job. He thought of stopping…this episode was so amazing and i loved it so much. I really wished we could have seen more of that side of Jack.

DW: The Aztecs

Hey Guys,

here we go with a new historic adventure – The Aztecs. It takes place somewhere 1430 – where Yetaxa died and was – and 1480. You can find different dates but the book of my trust is setting it around 1454.

How the story goes

Like the title says the story goes about the Aztecs. The TARDIS lands in a tomb of Yetaxa. Barbara had written about the Aztecs and is faszinated. She leaves the tomb and her comrads follow her. Just to find out that it is a one way door. You can go out but not in. So they have to find another way to get back to the TARDIS. The Aztecs think that Barbara is a recarnation of Yetaxa and that brings Barbara in a situation were she tries to change the future and stop the human sacrifices.

Changing History

The story is a really interessting story but changing time. Can you change the future or not. Barbara is at that point were she tries to change the outcome. Every companion has the moment. Barbara is one of the companions that doesn’t want to change the outcome for herself. Rose for example tried to save her father. Donna tried to save all the people of Pompeji. But Barbara didn’t know the people she tried to save and there were no big event like the volcano. She is faszinated by the Aztecs and wanted them to change to stop unnessassary sacrifices.
I really love Barbara for it and i love that the relationship between Barbara and the Doctor revivels so much about the Doctor.
The Doctor become more open and friendly and is fun to see him change and grow closer to the people around him.

Tru Calling: Season 1

Hey Guys,

welcome to my opinion about the serie ‘Tru Calling’. Tru Calling is an older serie from 2003. At that time i had my Buffy phase and wanted to watch the serie because of Eliza Dushku but somehow i never did. After White Collar and The normal heart i am in my ‘I-watch-everything-with-that-one-actor’-phase. So this would be Matt Bomer. Like i said i watch White Collar, The normal heart, Magic Mike, Magic Mike XXL and the only serie i don’t like him in Chuck. For people who are like me, he doesn’t have such a big role, but let’s talk about this a little later.

For everyone who hasn’t seen it yet and things about watching it here is one thing you should know. There is no ending. There are no answers. The second season has six episodes and just ends – more about this in the article of season two. But if i had known i wouldn’t watch the serie or at least not the second season. But back to the point.

Calling Tru

Tru is the main character. She is a young girl which just finished High School and wants to become a doctor. She wanted a job in the hospital but ends up in the morgue. Not just that she is also the one for the nightshift. So great job and even better work hours.
Here also starts the really story. Some of the dead people asking her for help. When a dead person asked her for help Trus day rewind and she goes again.

Happy family

Tru is also the one of the three children that seen the murder of her mother. when she was young. The family is really broken. The father let his family down and married his affair and has new kids with this wife. He just stopped being a father for his childrens and always makes them feel bad. Trus bigger sister has a drug problem and her younger brother is a player, a small crook… and always in trouble.
Tru and her brother Harrison have a really close relationship. She always looks out for him and he is so loyal to her. He would do everything for Tru and she for him.

Other Accomplice

Of course Tru has more person in her life than her family. There is her best friend Lindsay and that is actually really amazing. I remember Izombie were the friendship starts ripping. But here it doesn’t. Yes Lindsay is not happy about her new job and sometimes she is angry at Tru for not showing up. But one thing never changed and that is that these two are best friends. They always talk to each other. The phone each other over small stuff. The friendship is amazing and totally one reason i love that show.
The other reason is Luc. Luc is a sweetheart. He works as a crime scene photographer and starts dating Tru. He is the nice guy everyone wishes for. Really i would take him! He is my favorite character. He is also the one with the really bad luck.
Harrison always has a bad day and his sister rewind the day she calls him and tells him what he can’t do. So he actually always gets a better day in the rewind.
Luc is the totally oppisite. Luc normaly has a really good day and everything starts fine and than Tru rewind and somehow fate always makes his day alot worse.
The last important character is Daves. Daves is the forensic doctor. He is a little special but a really great and good guy. He also knows a little about Trus secret.

Surprise, Surprise

Let’s be honest. The characters are great. The story is not bad but definitly can’t surprise you. The twist and turns are obvious and the fate of a few characters are clear after the second episode they are in. If you look for surprise you are wrong. If you look for variety you are wrong too. Every episode has the same structur. She get asked for help. The day rewinds. She get her family back on track, tries to help prevent the death of the person who asked for help und makes Lucs day bad.
But the serie is more about the relationships, about the people she tries to help. The stories are sweet and sad and sometimes tragic. You can just watch and feel with these characters. I really liked it.

DW: Keys of Marinus – Rewatch

Hey Guys,

welcome to the next adventure of the Doctor and his new family – Keys of Marinus. Sadly it is not really the next story. Between this story and ‘The Edge of Destruction’ is the story ‘Marco Pollo’. This story is not out on DVD. The story got lost over the time. Hopefully the will find it somewhere. Here in this story. The Doctor and the Crew are already friends and respect each other after the action of ‘The Edge of Destruction’.
Again this story is hard to set in the time line. There is no date given and also there is no indication were it might happen. My trusted source is setting it in the Prehistory time. For everyone that wants to know alittle more about it, i will writte about it in the last point it holds spoilers to future stories.

You need to help me

This story is built up a little different than the others. The Crew get asked for help and when they refuse they got backmailed. Our crew is send out to find the keys that got hidden in differents places. So this adventure has many mini-adventure and two of them are without the Doctor, because William Hartnell had a two-week-vacation. The story is alot faster than before and the last part comes a little short.

New pace

The story is really good. The whole atmosphere is different. Barbara and Ian stopped talking about going home. Barbara and the Doctor starting to become really close. We see a family growing together. It is fun to see them growing closer.

The History of Marinus – might have spoilers

There is a really interessting part of dating this story in a time line. Future stories about Marinus give the planet an interessting turn in History. The story ‘The World Shapers’, which is a comic strip from the ‘Doctor Who Magazine’ reveals that it has a big role in the History of another big monster in the Doctor Who Universe. Marinus will become Mondas the home planet of the cybermen. I don’t know if there are any indications for the time in Doctor Who (2005) Season 10 but before that the time is a wild guess. My source is saying that the story of ‘Keys of Marinus’ just make sense after the first rise of the cybermen in the story ‘The Cybermen’ and of course before ‘The World Shapers’.

White Collar: Season 4

Hey Guys,

welcome to sesaon four of White Collar. The last season ended with Neal runing away. He left everything that he wanted to be his life behind. He is maybe free but still runing. Of course he doesn’t stay on the run. The fourth season is about Neal trying to get this life back and stop runing but accepting the truth about his family.

Fathers Son

Neal is a conman and can be everything he wants. But who is he really. He always defines himself over his gens. But there is so much more to him. But this season he is searching for the truth about his father. Why he did what he did? If he did what people say he did?
I love to see him trying to stop runing. The father son story is not that interessting for me. Because it was so clear were the whole story will lead.
What i like about it is that they say for the first time that Peter is like a father to him. I think there is much truth in it. Peter is his role model.
Everyone how read what i had written about the other seasons knows that i find the relationship between Neal and Peter really problematic and that doesn’t stop here.
In the end middle of the season i am so done with Peter.

An Artist has to know who he is

I really like the thematic. Who doesn’t have asked himself the question. Who am I? What makes me the way i am? Can i change? Can i be better than this?
This season not just let Neal ask himself these questions. It also shows the relationship Neal has. Sadly there is really little about Sara. She deserved a bigger part in the season but the episodes she is in are amazing. I am one of the few people that think that the only really good relationship of Neal is with her. Because she let him be who he is. She doesn’t try to change him. She doesn’t hate him or is angry about him runing. She knows him. She knows this is something that he needed to do. It hurt her but she doesn’t hold it against him. Like she never hold anything against him after they start dating. The Raphael is another story. She doesn’t push or pull him. They just live in the now and that is so amazing and totally what he needs.
I love Mozzie and Elizabeth but this season shows me again what i always thought. They push him in the direction they want him and it hurts me alot.
I don’t say that i don’t understand it. Like i said i love them. They are good persons.

Watch it or not

You need to watch it. The episodes with Sara are so amazing and i love every bit of it. Yes the Peter problematic is still there but we all know that it will not go away. Peter will not change and i am not sure that Neal ever can really change with him around. But all the characters are amazing as always. So yes stay and watch it.

DW: The Edge of Destruction – Rewatch

Hey Guys,

welcome to the two parter ‘The Edge of Destruction’ from Doctor Who. You can say much about it because it is a really short story. It is a little overacted but i really love the story very much. Because this story sets the whole way of the serie.

Let’s talk a little more about the story. Again we see alot of the TARDIS. The whole story play in the TARDIS and there is no monster in it. There is a problem in the TARDIS and nobody knows what is going on what leads to struggle between the crew.

This is totally why i love this episodes so much. In the other stories is alot of distrust between them. The Doctor brings the others in danger because he wants to explore. They don’t work with each other when they not are forced to it. In danger the work together.
Now that there is no evil force the can see all that distrust and anger is coming out. I really love it. Because Barbara speaks her mind and the Doctor does to.
Also Barbara has the most action in this story.

This story sets the developement of the relationship between the crew. We see them fight and all parts don’t back down.

This is the first step for the big family the Doctor will built for himself in the future. It all starts here in this epsiode.

Torchwood: Corpse Day

Hey Guys,

welcome to the third and at the time best Torchwood adventure this season ‘Corpse Day’. This is the first Owen Harper adventure and i was really excited about it. Owen was the only one that wasn’t back yet. But it is not just Owen. In this adventure he teams up with Andy what actually is a great combination.

Owen and the Corpse Day

Corpse Day is a day were Torchwood offers their help to the police. What most of the time don’t end well. Jack thought it would be funny to send Owen for this corpse day because he is a corpse. What actually makes it really clear at which time this is playing – between his two death.
After his death he got even more – i don’t find the right word for it.
We all know Owens history. We know that he was a doctor and what he lost and how he stopped believing in a good end. He is eaten up with the life.

I love Owen because he is for me a person were all the oppesits united. He is eating up about life but also has so much respect for life. He has hard and sarcastic shell and inbetween he is slowly dying because of his inability to save people.

Andy surprises me

We don’t know much about Andy and this story shows us another side of him. I don’t want actually say to much but i was surprised by Andys reaction. I would never thought he would reacted that way, but when you think about it, it is logic. It is Andy. It is a side we didn’t see because he never had a big part in Torchwood before. Here we see more sides of him. To pair Andy and Owen together with that kind of story is a masterpiece. They are the oppists of each other. Owen shows us a darker side of Andy. They made the character flaws of each other more visible.

The way it goes

I don’t want to say much because the story is great and not what you thought at the beginning. You can piece it together a little faster than Owen but it still goes in a direction i didn’t thought of. It starts as fun part because really Andy and Owen… but don’t except a funny and light story. The gets really fast really dark.
It is such a cruel and real story. It left you with a lost feeling. It leaves you with alot to think about.

Really this for now my favorite Torchwood story this season and here i really love the way they tell it, the way the leave the end. It is just all we need to make our own thoughts and our own decission about what this end is.

White Collar: Season 2

Hey Guys,

welcome to season two of White Collar. I am totally hooked with this season. It is so much fun to watch Peter and Neil work together. The ways they start trusting each other in this season. How they really start working together. It is amazing. Still the most important part are the people around them. That makes it worth watching.

Kate and what follows

After the death of Kate Neil is driffen to find her murder. I personally still believe that she is alive. A explosion is the same as shooting someone on a bridge and than falls into the water. For me Kate is still out there and it is annoying. I really dislike Kate and what we get to know about her doesn’t change any of it. Maybe the actress is not good – but i have seen her in other stuff were she could display emotions – but here. Kate doesn’t seems to care about Neil. Not even in one scene i got the feeling that she actually love him. This makes the storyline even more annoying. Because he loves her so much and he doesn’t think straight when it is about her and i don’t want to see this anymore.

I never lied to you Peter

What is in season two so amazing is the developement of their relationship. They became friends in season one. They had respect for each other. In this season they actually start working together and i don’t mean work related. I mean they work together in their free time to find how is behind Kates Murder. They way they start to relay on each other and actually get comfortable with each other is so nice to see.
Also the frienship between Mozzie and Elizabeth is amazing. I love every scene with these two. Sadly Elizabeth is not having a big role and many of her scene look kind of cheap.

Most important are the people around us

Neil and Peter are amazing. But what makes the serie so amazing are the characters like Mozzie, Elizabeth, Jones and Diana. Are the special guests like Alex and June of course. They are the heart of the show for me. They are so amazing. Since Kate is dead we got a new person Neil could maybe fall in love with. Sara Ellis. I know the actress from One Tree Hill as Peyton and who read my comments about the serie know that i dislike Peyton so much. One of the best things were when she and Lucas left the serie.
Since the gesture and mimic is so close to Peyton it was kinda hard for me to not see her as Peyton. But when you are over it. She is an amazing person. She is not an easy victim of his charme. She totally knows what and who he is but really likes him. They chemestry between them is amazing.

Watching or not

That is not even a question. I loved the season. All the characters have their part in this season. We got the Burke Seven and they are so amazing. This is so far the best season of White Collar. So yes go and watch this season because the way it ends tells me that season 3 just can’t be as good as this season.

Hey Guys,

after the trailer i actually were really excited about this last part of the season of Teen Wolf even after the shitty first part. But let’s not talk about it. This episode was not bad. It was just typical Teen Wolf.

Never give them hope

Truth betold the season was already saved with the Coach back on screen lecturing Scott. Come on you can’t have a last season without Lacrosse and the Coach. Also Lacrosse means a lot of Liam and i know many people don’t like that Liam has so much screen time. But i actually love him and i love even more that they actually make is controll problem a theme again. Liam has not just anger issues and sometimes the seem to forget this. They say it is about Hayden but it is actually about Hayden and Scott and everything changing around him. Also i really love to see more of Mason and Liams friendship again. They deserve more screen time.

Welcome back Sterek

I really loved the end… yes i likes Derek without a shirt. Come on didn’t start the serie for the fanservice? I love Stiles reaction and everything around it. The footage is years old and the actually the sad thing is that they again acuse him for being a murderer when in the footage he is actually runing form a murderer. Obviously Derek hasn’t killed anyone. Or at least not like that. Peter is a different thing. Also when you see the trailer it is most likely a ready the start of the hunt for the supernatural. So yes give me more of them and Jackson. Please let Jackson come fast.

Torchwood: The Dollhouse

Hey Guys,

welcome to another adventure of Torchwood – The Dollhouse. Like every season there is at least one adventure about a person you don’t know or barely now. So this adventure is not just with persons we don’t know, we also leave the country. This story is taking place in America Los Angeles in the year 1970 with the three angels.

Charlies Angels

The whole story is built like ‘Charlies Angels’. I never saw the original serie but the movies. The movies starts with telling us the background story of the three angels and this is totally what happend here. So this is fun but also i wasn’t a big fan of the idea but it turns out to be really good. What i like is that here the unfair and hard reality that always was in Torchwood is still part of it. Torchwood is no fairy tale and the angel can not mysterical everything. They are so human in everything they do. I fall in love with this three people so fast and the best thing is the last scene. That is how the movie should have ended.

Do you want to be an actress?

The story is good. Young girls disapear and all of them wanted to be an actress. They all are by the same agent and a word in there files ‘Dollhouse’. Like i said the story is good. It is built so you just know as much as our angels. It has a little action, a little humor and a little dramatic. It has everything a good story needs. What i think is that they could have had a little more time on the topic what actually is going on. But that is just me and the more i think about it is maybe better that the gave a us just what they gave us.

So of you go to fight with our three angels.
