Torchwood: The Vigil

Hey Guys,

welcome to ‘The Vigil’ the 7th adventure of the 5th season of Big Finish Torchwood. This another Toshiko adventure. We also meet a new Torchwood member Sebastian Vaughan. It is one of the stories that takes place before the first Torchwood TV-Season.

Dangersous Job

Tosh brings the body of Sebastian back home after he dead by a job gone wrong. We met his mother and follow Tosh to get to know more about his dead collegue. Of course strange things start happening. At the same time we see the flash backs to the events that ended in the death of Sebastion and this is most likely connected to what is going on now.
There is always that question are you ready to die for Torchwood. It also a theme. You don’t die of old age when you are working for Torchwood.

This job is dangerous and you have to take it serious. Tosh is always one of the ones that takes everything to serious. It is so sad to see people telling her to start living her live. Stop take everything so serious and don’t work in her free time. But everything that happend always shows her to be serious to look out.
It is so sad that we know who she ends in the end. When she never really started living her life and than it is just over.

Drama

All Tosh adventures have for me that sad undertone. She is such an amazing person. So smart and strong and lonely. You always wish that she would start living but it always ends up with her letting her live goes by. She is not ready to die for Torchwood and still she is not ready to live. All the stories make me wish for her happy end.

Torchwood: Instant Karma

Hey guys,

welcome to the 23rd adventure of Big Finish Torchwood ‘instant Karma’ with Toshiko Sato. She developed algorithms to find patterns. This patterns lead her to a group of people.

Anger

It is a group to help people who have this anger in them. But it doesn’t seem like it really helps them but that the leader is using them. I mean it is so easy. How many times were you angry at people. Go to the supermarket and there is a 50% chance that someone does something that annoys you. I work in the gastronomy. How time do I want slap our guest because they make a stupid comment or they be aggressive to you. This anger this story is about that is an anger that everyone knows.
Obviously we don’t want to kill them. But if you have this ‘gift’. So easy to give in to this anger. If you give in this anger. Anger can become so fast hatred.

The danger of charismatic people

This story is not just about anger but about people who are charismatic and tries to use this. People that can talk can be so dangerous. With this anger and charisma it is easy to make people follow you. Because they want to believe. But it is so easy to lose control. This story is so close to reality. I mean they have abilities but even without this ‘gifts’ it something that happens. charismatic people are out there using the anger, hurt of other people for their benefits.

happy endings

When you look at the stories of Toshiko Sato there is always such a sad end. She lost so much and still tries to believe so hard in people. It is a gift and a curse for Tosh. This need to help and save everyone and so often failing not because not good in what she does but because humans are not that good. I love her so much and I love that adventure.

Torchwood_cascade_CDRip_tor

Hey Guys,

I listened to this adventure of Big Finish Torchwood before but I got not around to write about it. Torchwood_cascade_CDRip_tor is a really different story. I actually can never decide if I love this story or hate it. This is another adventure with Toshiko Sato, who get a phone call of an old friend from Torchwood. It plays in the 2000s in London. It actually plays a few month before the final of season two.

It is really hard to listen to

What makes the story so special is also what makes it so annoying. The story is about a computer virus. So your CD is not broken. All that sound fluctuations and the scenes that are mixed in and all that other stuff is intentional. It makes it really, really hard to listen to. But it also created a total different atmosphere. Truth be told I hated that way of telling this story but with the end… it is just kind of perfect. I love Tosh so much and this hurts really.

Computer Virus on the lose

So like I said before the story is about a computer virus. This computer virus is targeting people who are downloading stuff illegal. Steven an old Torchwood worker who can’t stop looking out for this stuff. Find these people dying and calls Toshiko for help. Toshiko obviously goes and help him. The chemistry between Tosh and Steven is really good and it brings back all the old Tosh/Owen feelings. This story is like all the other stories and works on his own. But there are so many little stuff in it that makes it so amazing. We hear Yvonne and we hear stuff that happened or will happen.

Listen or not

Yes please go and listen to this amazing story. This story is an amazing annoying masterpiece. It is everything. The story is full of love and feelings. Feelings of Tosh and Tosh feelings. Tosh is amazing and I really love her and this story.

The Torchwood Archive

Hey Guys,

it is here The Torchwood Archive. I must say that i was a little disapointed when i saw the how small the CD is. The Cd box is really small and i also dislike the way the CDs are stored. But apart from this CD box is beautifull. It is totally Torchwood and embossed silver. Look at it your self.

What is Torchwood

This is a story about the History of Torchwood. The Basic of this story is that Jeremiah – just one guy from a future – that is visting the Torchwood Archive. He is there to shut it down but before he does it he wants to know what Torchwood and Object One is.
So he got lead through the archive by our love Andy which promised fun. But before that he also met hologramms of Ianto and Jack. Which give me so much feelings. This hologramms – more like computerprogramms – are so much like they original were.
But back to the story. Andi is leading him through to different scenes that are explaining what Torchwood is and what that Object One is. So we got scenes in different times and different characters. Some scene are really short others are longer, some seems so useless but everyone is amazing.

What we got

We got a story that i think almost everyone can listen and understand without knowing everything else, but it has so much goddies for the fans. Really got Captain Jack Harkness in his best form. We got Ianto Jones and we got both of them together. We got Gwen and Rhys. Also we have Suzie, Yvonne, Andi, Tosh and many others. Also we get my new favorite Character Norton.
But we got so much. We got an idea of what Tosh and Owen could have been. We finaly got a picture why Hopkins has killed everyone in Torchwood. Also we got a few Information about the Committee. We just got everything you need to love the story.

There is not one thing that i would change about it or what i would bad or could be better. It is just everything. You got the characters you love, get more background stories, hints future stories. One of the best thing was Yvonne scene were the Torchwood Archive couldn’t give information out because it is classified for Torchwood. I just can’t wait for the next adventure with them. The only thing i still need is Owen Harper back.

Listing or not

Suprise, suprise The Torchwood Archive is for me a totally listing too. I mean not tha i every said something else about the Torchwood stories. But none aless this is an anniversary celebration how it should be. It was everything in it. So go and buy this Cd and celebrated the 10 anniversary of Torchwood. It were amazing 10 years with amazing stories. So why are you still reading this, go listen to this story.

Torchwood – Zone 10

Hey Guys,

welcome to the newest Big Finish Torchwood adventure ‘Zone 10’. This time we get our lovely Toshiko Sato back. So this have to play before the end of season 2. I would say it plays before the episode they met the real Captain Jack Harkness. Because she tells them that she hadn’t seen her family in years, but in this episode she gets ready to go to the birthday of her father. So when this isn’t a mistake, than Torchwood makes sure that she will see her family again.

First Solo Mission

The radio signal that Tosh is investigating says ‘Toshiko Sato the truth is in Zone 10’. This signal is over 40 years old. So long before Tosh was born. But she feels like it is for her and when you look at what the signal means, she is right. So she travels alone to russia to find the truth. The Story is simple and not really surprising. Of course everything has in the end to do with the Comitee.

I love Tosh and i want more adventures with her but this adventure is not feeling so familiar as the other storys. When you her the others you are feeling like your characters you love back. But with Tosh there is something missing. I don’t know what is. Maybe because she is not so good at the radio thing like the others. Or it is just to long i saw Tosh in action. The last time i watched Torchwood is a few years ago…maybe that is the reason. The only thing i know is that something is missing. But i hope that Tosh is coming back for other adventures and that this feeling will be gone than.
