DW: Night Thoughts

Hey Guys,

here we go with next adventure of big finish main range number 79 – Night Thoughts. This time we have the seventh Doctor with his companion with Hex and Ace. It takes place in Schottland 2006 after ‘Human Resources’. In the Doctors timeline would have been behind Survival (TV Serie). This adventure was the first adventure from big finish that was after a scrpit of the TV-Serie but never was filmed. After that big finish started the serie of Lost Stories. We start with a little information about Hex. This is my first adventure with him so lets see how he is.

Thomas Hector Schofield

His first appereance was in the 58 adventure ‘The Harvest’. He is human and works as a Doctor. He met the two when they came to investigate alien aktivity on the hospital he works. It seems like he saw Ace got into the TARDIS and want to know about it. Ace is showing him and is convinced the Doctor to take Hex with them. This is the fourth adventure with them so there is not much to know.
In the first two episodes i don’t think what i would think about Hex. He got scared and he is having this nightmare. But he made a few dump comments to and about the girl. So i did thought really highly of him but he changed my mind. He is actually really lovely, has a kind heart and his giving out hugs if they needed. So yes i am liking him.

Happy the rabbit

This episode is really good. Actually i would have loved to see this as an episode. Because this would made a perfect horror episode. All that amazing effects how could made with just so little… just that girl with the rabbit. This is really good stuff. Big finish did a really good job with the effects to create this horror atmosphere. First i thought the story would go in a different directions. We have Hex having a nightmare about a OP and Ace almost drowning in the river. This lead the three of them to a house somewhere in the nowhere. With 3 man and 2 woman and girl. There is going something going on. Someone is dying and that is just the beginning. Of course all are mistrusting each other, people get attack and so on. The Doctor is in the middle of it with his wondefull coments and ironic way of dealing with everyone. I can’t say anymore with out actually destroying the story for you.

This Story is amazing. One of the best horror stories in the last time. Just listen to it.

Shadowhunters: S01EP05

Hey Guys,

like some of you already know i started watching Shadowhunters. Normally i am all for reading the original and thinks like that. So just that everyone know i didn’t read the book or so the ‘very loved’ movie and i have no intention of doing any of it. The Story is not really what interesst me. It has potential to become something good.

Supernatural world

What do we have in this serie. We have another supernatural world with Werwolves, Vampires and Demons. I love the supernatural world and it is always good to watch such series. Right now the world seems a little to black and white for me. There are the Shadowhunters which are the good ones. We only get to know four… (and a really bad mother) that are trying to do the right think. The main villian seems to be also a shadowhunter. So the ground for a grey world is there. But the most demons, vampires, werwolves seems to be bad. I know that the friend of Izzy doesn’t seems so bad or Luke seems to be on Clarys side. But this is way to little but right now it feels like their are the exception and this would be really sad. I hope that this is just because they concentrate on other things. Because i want so much more characters like for example Magnus.

Parabatai

Jace is telling us so much about how deep and beautifull this bond is. But we know nothing really about it and truth be told i don’t see this deep bond. All i see is that Alec tries to do everything for Jace. That Alec tries to protect him. He doesn’t like Clary very much because she is cutting through that bond. Jace is doing nothing against it. He never listen to Alec, he always tells him to stop but always excepted him to help him, what Alec always does. In the first part of the episode i thought that maybe we know get to see how deep this bond is. The way he treated Alec was promising. Just accepting that he is the most important person in Alecs life. But then one simple mistake from Alec when he tried to protect Clary and Jace is forget that Alec has also feeling. Forgets that Alec would do anything for him. Even die protecting Clary. So no i don’t see that bond and i don’t understand what that bond should be. All i know is that i beginn to dislike Jace very much.

The Redhead

Clary is going on my nerves. The hair is totally distracting and i don’t will get used to it. The actress had a little problems in giving her enough emotions but right now i get used to the way she is playing her. But her character is so exhausting. The whole world is just turning around her. She is not thinking about anything. Her actings brings everyone in danger but she never think about it. She is Jace always bringing in situation where he as to choose her side against Alec and she should see that she is destroying something. But she doesn’t care. Because right now it seems like she is only interessted in herself.

Lightwoods

The reason i start to love the show is not the story or Jace and Clary. No it is because of the Lightwoods. Alec is just such a imperfect little puppy. How can you not love him. He has the best quotes and tries so hard to doesn’t show anyone what he feels. But he would do anything for Jace and Izzy. He is protective about her. You can see how much he cares for her. In this episode he is trying to make it a little easier for Izzy but their mother doesn’t let him. These two people are his whole world – and his little brother we don’t know yet. I just want to cuddle him and Izzy. Izzy wants to see his brother happy. It is really good to see these both interact.

Malec

Do i have to say anything about it? Magnus is awesome and the chemestry between him and Alec is amazing. I like that we got to see more of this relationship. Because we will see how a close up character as Alec gets open up by Magnus and it will be awesome. Can’t wait to see the next episode.

Psych: Season 8

Hey Guys,

i finally watched the last season of Psych. I was really sad about the fact that this will be the last season and heart just good things about the final so i had really high hopes for it. When you now that this will be the last season you watch the show with one eye crying and one laughing. If you haven’t watched it yet go and watch this season.

The cases

The first episode are mostly the most obscure episodes ever. When you watch something like Criminal Minds and a day later you start with Psych and their are Shawn und Gus -in a Harry Potter outfit – before a ganovor. You ask yourself what you are doing. But the episode is really amazing. It is about one of the most loved character on the show the art thief Despereaux with a totally new story about the character. But can we really trust him? The season is playing with a lot of things.
We got the new chief that is not a fan of Psych or Lessi. Shawn tries to go work, like you can think it doesn’t end well. Gus is got all he had together and changed something important in his life. It goes about Juliet and her partner Lessi, about becoming a father and of course about the friendship between Shawn and Gus.

Like we started

In the second part of the season they are concentrating on the friendship between Shawn and Gus. Often it is just them and in the end Lessi. Juliet is not having a big role in the last episodes. But i love it. Because so they have enough time to actually remind us of the fact that they both just need each other in their lifes. Season one started with a big change in Shawns life. He and Gus started Psych and i am sure it is the first job he does longer than… it is the first ‘real’ job he had. He made a step to grow up. This season ends with a big decission which will change his life – just like we started.

Just Psych – nothing more, nothing less (Spoilers!)

The last episode is the end of Psych. It is the end of an era. A end of so much amazing friendships – not that they really stopped. The last episode shows us a Shawn again that is running. He is making a decission to move to his girlfriend and leave all other back in Santa Barbara. He is trying to tell Gus that this is the end of Psych. The only one that really know why Shawn is acting so strength is Lessi and it is just perfect.
In the end we got Shawn runing but he is leaving them messages. They are so sad and sweet. It feels so much like goodbye. One of the most perfect scenes is the message for Lessi. He wants to tell him that he was right, that Lessi was always right about him. But before Shawn can tell him, Lessi stop watching and broke the CD. It shows so much without words or any out of character actions how much Lessi learnt to respect Shawn in a way. It shows us how much he actually cares about them.
But it wouldn’t be Psych if it just ends like that. We all now that and we are getting our little crazyness when Gus throw everything to run after Shawn. Because he is not leaving is best friend. What actually leads to the most perfect things. At first to the question if it really the end of Psych or just the beginning. The other thing is the most Shawn like way to hold on for Juliets hand.
We don’t see a perfect world. They all made decissions this season and they all need to live with them. But it is crazy like Psych always was. It is not totally dramatic, sad or funny. It is just like every other season. It is just like Psych. I never saw such a perfect end for a serie. The end is so fitting and feeling just right. It is the end and a start. I will miss them. I know their life will be complicated alone because Shawn will make it that way but they are together and they will find their way.
Everything changed but in a way everything stayed the same. Psych you out in the end…

Agents of SHIELD

Hey Guys,

i started rewatch Agents of SHIELD Season 2 with my father. The season even hurts more when you know what is coming. I love the second season so much and when i think about season 3 i got afraid what the will make out of all this. I had high hopes for this season and now i think that maybe i will not watch season 4 and that is a sad thought. I hope so much that they will make it good. Because i need someone that calls them out on what the do. That tells us that SHIELD are not the good ones. Someone how will call Coulson out on what he is a cold murderer. I will never respect him again. I started watching this show because of my love for him but now… i wished he would have stayed dead, because he changed so much and i can never love him like that again.

But what i wanted to say is that i will again write about Ward and Fitz character developement in season 2 like i did in season 1. I hope you like it.

DW: Pier Pressure

Hey Guys,
welcome to the Big Finish main range vol 78 ‘Pier Pressure’ it featured the sixth Doctor and Evelyn (Infos about Evelyn). It plays in Brighton in the end of 1936 and takes so place after Players. In the Doctors timeline it is betweeen ‘Thicker than water’ and ‘The nowhere place’. I promised me alot from that story because Evelyn is playing in it, sadly in the first two parts she got to sit on the sideline. But actually the guest stars are fun. The voice of the character Albert reminds me of David Tennant.

We will have enough time for this

The six and the seventh doctor are gotten darker again. When we got to know Albert and his girlfriend Emily, Emily said that they had enough time for all that nonsense. So my first tought was that Albert will not survive it. Albert is cocky and jumps to every possiblity to prove himself. He wants to get to Warner Brothers. Emily on the other hand is the voice of reason. It is important to have a job and don’t play around.
I really like these two and so i like that they are in the action with the Doctor, but why does that mean that Evelyn has to sit in the TARDIS.

He will come around

This is the first time i am a little annoyed by Evelyn. In the first episode she gives the Doctor shit and don’t take any shit from him. That is the Evelyn that i love. But in the second episode the Doctor send her with Max Miller to the TARDIS and she is just going. Because the Doctor knows what he does. I think it is established that the Doctor never knows what he does. This is something that Rose would do… (Don’t get it wrong i love Rose). But why does anyone does that?

The evil

This story is dealing with a darkness that is amazing. I love storys were you don’t know if you have a happy end or not. If it is just an endless circle or will be there a winner? Where light is has to be a shadow. That are the best stories. I don’t want to tell you more than this because the end needs to be heart not read. Just one thing this story has a darkness I love about he sixth doctor. There is no holywood solution just the truth. I promised me more of Evelyn but it is an good story and hopefully we have alot more stories were Evelyn got more to do.

Torchwood: Uncanny Valley

Hey Guys,

welcome to the 5th big finish Torchwood adventure ‘Uncanny Valley’, which is a typical season one adventure. This was the weakest story so far but that doesn’t mean that it is a bad story. The Story is playing after ‘The Conspiracy‘ but i am still not sure when it should play.

I know what you are thinking

Jack is like the last time telling the story directly to us. This time it is not explained like the last time with a phone call, what actually a little sad but it doesn’t really matter. The kind of narration is placing you in the story and it gets you. It is a really good story for Jack Harkness. I for myself have enough of all the sex in the tv shows and i don’t want to tell to much but we have some here. Big Finish is here again remembers us of one thing that got a little lost in the fourth season. Jack Harkness is not gay. He likes guys, women, alien, anything you can have sex with and that was always why i liked him. Because he doesn’t care about something like race or gender. Also his way of seeing beauty is not bound to our sight. It is good that this is not forgotten.

What makes you human?

The story is nothing new but Torchwood don’t has any rules or no goes. So this is a story about someone that get something like a robot. This is a copie of him, which should do his life in the world for him because after a accident that put him in wheelchiar. Of course in this story it goes how this robot becomes kinda like human. It is his job to become like his owner but when you see them interacted or acted. They are very different from each other. But this is not what the story is about. It is more about how life can change you and that everything can turn against you. Even the comitee is not on the focus here. The Robot has to do with comitee, but we never got real information about what their plan is or what they are. It is more a drawing of a relationship that grows and breaks in the end. It doesn’t ask big questions. It makes all this question seem like it is totally normal.

It was fun to listen to John Barrowman again. Can wait for the next episode and the second season!

Colony: Pilot

Hey Guys,
I started a new serie again – this time it is Colony – i know that i have enough others to watch but i could resist Sawyer and SciFi- Serie in one sentence.

Lost and the walking dead

The characters looked at the first time to much like we know them. Will is a like Sawyer in the last seasons when was playing house with Juliet. He loves his family and is apparently searching for his son. Katie is a little like Lori. She is strong bit i don’t know what to think of her. She doesn’t seemed much in love with her husband, than she was all over him and than she seemed to be choosing another side than him. Or maybe they are together in it? I really don’t know.

Which side are you on

The whole series is like we know nothing. Why are their in this colonies? What happend? Why is it not looking like there was a battle? Did the alien came and the humans said yes make us live in Colonys? How long are they living like that? What are the rules of that world? Why is she stealing insuline when it seems that the hospital are still working? We should choose a side but how when we know nothing about both sides?

Right now i don’t know what to think about the serie. But because of the two reasons I start watching i will give the serie a chance. It could be a great one.

DW: Other Lives

Hey Guys,
this radio play ‘Other Lives’ is the 77th adventure of the main range. It is not the next adventure with C’rizz but it is an adventure with C’rizz and Charley (in this article you find a short describtion to her – http://www.whovianandtvseries.com/doctor-who-scherzo/). The story plays in 1851 on the Great Exhibition (Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations – London, Hide Park – Crystal Palace). In the timeline it is after the haunting of Thoma Brewster and before The next doctor. For the 8th doctors timeline it lie after Scaredy Cat.
One notion before we talk about the radio play. On this radio play the ‘coming soon’ is before the story starts, which is a little bit annoying but yeah.

Again we meet

This is the first audio story featuring the Duke Welligton. The second is ‘the Curse of Davros’. In this two stories he doesn’t have a direction interaction with the Duke. But he met him before. First the second doctor met him in the year 1805 and 1815 (PROSE: World Game). Somewhere later on the Doctors timeline he visted the Duke and makes a trip to Brighton. The Sixth Doctor was at the battle of Waterloo (PROSE: Players).

In this story the Duke seems kinda inconsquence. It feels like he his two different persons. Sometime is a nice old man, who have an really sweet conversation with Charly and than he is like ‘I am the Duke. I can do what i want’. But mostly he is a nice man that help them.

Team Dynamic

I can’t say much about it. Because i didn’t heart the stories. But it seems a little bit like Charly and the Doctor are going of for adventure and C’rizz stay in the TARDIS. Okay it just started like it. The three are a good time, because everyone of them has the talent to find problems and bring them in worse situation. What i really like about the story is that all three have their fair share of the story and had an adventure of their own. They are not limited to the Doctor.

Doctor, the Husband

The Doctor gets so many problems. The couple de Roche are the victims of a assination act. The Doctor saved them and it seems like they vanished with his TARDIS. But the Doctor has now bigger problems. He get accused of being the one that tried to kill the couple. Before he got to trial, a woman Georgina Marlow, is saying that he is her husband. He seems to look like her husband and is drawn into a family problem.

Alone in the streets

Charly is an amazing character, who never should her mouth and this story so no exception. She has a big mouth that make her meeting with the Duke really amusing. When she saw the person with pistol, she goes to warn them. All it brings her in is that, she had to leave the Great Exhibition, when it closed and met a guy – Rufus Dimplesqueeze – who wants to sleep with her, because he things she is a prostitute. She ends up alone in the nigth on the street. She is searching help at the Dukes house and is drawn into a politics.

Like Zoo

C’rizz falls in the hands of a really bad man – Jacob Crackles – that take him to make him part of show of freaks. This is one of the amazing part is that this adventure is not just really in time. It acctually make the different appearing to an theme. Many time they let it slip under the carpet. Like Martha in the time of Shakesphere and so on. But here it is aknowledge that C’rizz is looking different than other and this is what brings him in the trouble. He is trying to keep his dignity. His cell companion gave it away already.
C’rizz is not working with our moral believes. He is ready to hurt people who hurt him.

I love this story. It puts everyone in a new position. It is a totally historic story and no big bad or something. This are stories i really really miss. It just happend a few things. I love how everyone have their own storyline and the Duke and Mr. Fazackerly are amazing guest stars. The only thing that is a little special is that the Doctor tell that he never saw himself as a family man. But he already had family…But this is just one thing. For everyone listen to it. It is amazing and fun and just life.

DW: Illegal Alien

Hey Guys,
i finished all New Serie Adventure books that i have right now, so it is time to went on the Past Doctor Adventures and start with the fifth book of the serie – Illegal Alien. It good reprinted in the Monster Collection and features the Seventh Doctor and Ace. The Adventure took place november 1940 in London and Jersey. It seems that for the Doctors timeline it is set somewhere after the 26 season.

Ace and Cody

Beneath the Doctor this are two of the characters that have a bigger role in the story. Ace of course because she is the Doctors companion. I am not a big fan of her, but she is an interessting and unique character. For me she is a little too much into explosives. Yeah, this is special were i often love characters, who love gun (i myself hate guns – don’t ask why…). But maybe it is because she is doesn’t seem to know what she can destroy with it. Also somewhere in the book she said that she like the The Blitz time. What takes her into a position i don’t understand and don’t want to understand. But her journay on the book is a good one. She is confronted with reality and death.
Cody is a private detective and not really sympatic. He is not friendly and has a death wish. I get me totally on the wrong food and i don’t even thing he is a good detective. It is sad that they gave him such a big role. When characters like Mama doesn’t get enough line but still are in our heart.

Rogue Time

The Story is about cybermen. One of the most used monster. Yeah i like them and here we have a rogue cybermen. It seems like this cybermen is search for blood and kills like everyone is remembered of the Jack the ripper cases. It seems like the humans always wants to become cybermen for winning a war. It is always the same. The worst in this story are not the cybermen it is the humans that betray each other, kill each other and toture each other.

The book is not my favorite. It is not my companion, not my story. It was for me just boring.

DW: Cryptobiosis

Hey Guys,
this is the third adventure of the special subscriber releases. At first it was only available for subscriber that get ‘Other Lives’ but now everyone can buy it. It is a nice adventure with Sixth Doctor and Peri in 1901 on the ship Lankester.

Sometimes i forget

You all remember that i am not a big fan of Peri but she is a good character. Which has a lot screen time in this adventure. She is one that just is amazed by the miracles of the nature. When she met a mermaid, she just want to help her. Peri always want to help. She makes fast friends. But not all are like her. This adventure is about human nature. A guy wants to get rich for selling the mermaid. This happens when people she something amazing. Not just that he wants to do this, we also see how far he would go to get what he wants – like murder.

The Doctor and the Captain

At first the adventure doesn’t seems not very logic and the character dump. There is a murder on the ship and the captain arrest the Doctor even when he could be the one. I don’t understand why he did this charade because this isn’t making much scenes for me. But this is the only thing that is here not right. Like i said before it is a nice adventure for now and then.

Are other species better

Peri is a good human. She has a really good heart and doesn’t want to let anyone die. We all know how humans mostly just save their own skin. But are other species better. The mermaids are not. They want to let everyone die, so they are save. Does Peri get them to change their mind.
